It has to do with air and water right? and if you take every object out, you’re left with snow and this road-like track. THIS might be a river that turned to ice that winter. The professor says he hallucinates with fantasies right? Well, a running river turned into ice might be his fantasy.. and he is happy, just like all others in the painting are happy too, that it froze. -So it might be potamophobia (fear of running water or rivers): a persistent, abnormal, and unwarranted fear of rivers or running water , despite the understanding by the phobic individual and reassurance by others that there is no danger It might be much simpler that we all think it is… and i think we’ll all be dissapointed when they tell us it’s just a fear of snow and this all was a waste of time. But then, if it is potamophobia, then mark the time when i said it! This ones interesting too, which concentrates on the fact that its to do with air and water as said by the professor, and that the insane picture looks more like a frozen river than the non-insane version one does. Er cause its from scanning the painting in 2 parts then sticking the 2 parts together? The painter intended it to be the right side is the same thing as a different perspective which is one of the theories. The whole thing is 1 painting.

Look at the way the sled track goes behind the buildings, and that there are no powerlines, which show that the scene si connected to some larger scene. We have here a surreal isolated roundness that is disconnected. I dont know the "what it sounds like" reference. When i first looked at it i expected some sort of christmas carol being sung. -__-

Nah no oneofthem, look at the color choice. The insane one is grey/cool color themed while the original has alot more warm color.

The horses' hooves weren't touching the ground, the ground is covered in a sound-muting blanket of snow, and it's night-time (which is usually attributed to tranquility). The professor said, "Think of what the place would look like with all the objects removed". That would leave an expanse of snow. Being deaf has been aptly described as "white noise", and many compare it to snow. Being or becoming deaf also affects one's ability to sense motion and direction, as it creates problems with the inner ear. Many deaf people experience vertigo, or the feeling that they've lost their balance and are falling. That would explain the general spiral motion of the picture. Im pretty sure this is the winner.

It has elements of warmth, curiosity, etc. This painting feels hollow. I believe if you were to try and listen to it, you would hear nothing. It would be very neat to try and get a cold reaction from someone - someone who doesnt know the backstory. But I get the feeling its missing something. Seems something is amiss to me. But that might just be imprinting. Also, why does that one house have no door?
