(My parents are doctors and lord knows I've had embarrassing medical questions/situations for them or other doctors but you absolutely need accurate medical advice if there is a problem)

My dad had a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and it was pretty much the same. They knocked him out for that but they gave him some horrible stuff he had to drink that made him sick. Seems like the prep is the worst part. Luckily he was ok and everything. I was pretty proud of him for going through with it since like you said a lot of people just don't want to deal with it and it is really dumb. A little embarrassment is easily worth not dying to something like this. Glad they caught it early TB and I hope the surgery goes well sir.
