After the successful third edition has revealed that there is a lot going on in the German player scene, we start another chapter with the Germany Cup (Deutschlandpokal): The NVIDIA Deutschlandpokal #5 presented by inStarcraft once again combines established pro players and new talents in an interesting tournament to determine Germany's top player.

Format
There will be a mixture of invites, sign-ups and qualification tournaments: 8 players will be directly invited and 16 players will be taken from mail sign-ups open to Master and Grandmaster league. The remanining 8 players are taken from two open qualification tournaments. As the name suggests the tournament is limited to German players, which means you need to have a German passport or identity card (Personalausweis). If there are doubts in a certain case, the tournament admin can request a copy of an official document.

If you missed the cast, you should really have a look at this short moment taken from a match between LiquidTLO and amateur DirDevil on Heavy Rain. Epic rock-play by TLO:

ShoWTimE is the most underrated player ever - it's because he plays so few games.
