If I understand correctly both Ukraine and Russia have both T-64s and T-72s, so I don't think you can reliably tell whose tank is that just by looking from the distance. The footage is from Snejnoe, a town near Russian border deep into the territory controlled by separatists. Also Ukrainian head of police Avakov made a statement that 3 T-72 tanks crossed Ukrainian border. One of them is supposed to be hit and immobilized. I'll remind that due to heavy attacks on border checkposts some of those have been abandoned. Around 100 kms of border mostly in Lugansk oblast has been left unguarded. Some checkposts have been overtaken by separatists. | ||

Secondly they said it was being fired at Slavyansk, while the video of KMRU says a village near Slavyansk and more specifically the separatists positions near it, so we don't know exactly what they were firing at. Thirdly that might be another fake video. And that might be not phosphorous bombs. Other than all of that, the video is fine. | ||

Phosphorous bombs can lead to some devastating results. | ||

Unlike Itar-Tass, the media sources I cite don't claim to have `the truth' but merely present facts. All the sources I posted were adamant about the material being preliminary and open to being a hoax (as one of the videos was not of T-72s). *** On other news, I found the lifenews video again that was posted in the thread earlier: It's definitely different from the 2004 footage seen before. | ||
