The White House blamed Russia for the supposed leak of an embarrassing telephone conversation between Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, during which she says "f--k the EU" for their lack of action to respond to the protests in Ukraine.

Bosnia-Hercegovina protests break out in violence

Demonstrators in Bosnia-Hercegovina have set fire to government buildings as violent protests continue across the country for a third day.

Police have used rubber bullets and tear gas against protesters in the capital Sarajevo and the northern town of Tuzla.

Black smoke could be seen gushing from the presidency building in Sarajevo.

The protesters are unhappy about economic and political progress in the Balkan country.

About 40% of Bosnians are unemployed. The unrest is the worst since the end of the Bosnian war.

Sarajevo-based newspaper Dnevni Avaaz says that police are using water to try and disperse protesters who are throwing stones at the presidency building.

At least 50 people have been injured in the capital, the paper reports

Head of Polish MFA claimed EU together with IMF, EIB, EBRD has prepared huge potential funds for Ukraine, but they would need to start reforming the country to get them.

Even i would win against him... EZPZ! I heard somewhere that Klichko can't even candidate because of his double citizenship or something. Am i right? Funny that Yanukovich would still probably win 1st round.

Even better, polls are usually done on even smaller samples, around 1000.

usually they vary significantly because of the poor methodology or even manipulations, not because of the sample size. For example if you have 1000 coin tosses the chances that there will be less than 450 tails is around 0,1%.

Can someone provide me with an update? I was observing the linked livestream from time to time, everything looked as usual when I went to work. Now I tune back in and police is everywhere and no more protestors on the baricades. Did they find a conclusion/ decided not to risk it (last infromation I had was that the violent protestors got more brutal and goverment threatend to use every allowed way to stop this if they dont calm down) or did the police cast them out?

2 close friends of mine are from the ukraine and took part in the protests (peacefully as far as I know) but I am unable to reach them.

There was slow movement towards the peaceful solution during the last 2 weeks while captured activists were being released from prison and in return the captured administrative building were being released as well. Today a peaceful march was scheduled to protest near the Parliament which was supposed to vote for the return to the Constitution of 2004-2010 which substantially limited the powers of the President. The vote was never initiated. Eventually violence between the police and protesting people broke out. It's not confirmed yet who initiated the violence. Police used shock and flash granades. There are proofs that nails were being attached to granades using scotch tape. Gunfire was used. There are at least 3 people dead from the gunshots among the protesters. Police claims one officer is dead. Hundreds of people got injured. Eventually protesters retreated to Maidan. Police and SBU (Ukrainian FSB/KGB) put up an ultimatum for the protests on Euromaidan to be stopped until 18.00 or force would be used.

So the barricades most likely got abandonded peacefully? Thank you for this information, I wasnt sure if the ultimatum already passed and feared the police just swept them away with full force. Guess my friends are just sitting at home and sleep/rest then :D.

So, what happens now? Will the outcome of the election determine the end result?

Did the Russians win, or did the protesters win?

There have been no elections recently and there would be none in the near future.

So, did the president just say "Ok that's enough, I have the police and the guns, this ends now." Or did some good come of it?
