how about fuck you? i mean let's be real for a minute here, what exactly do you think people in my country have in common with yours, except for the slavic heritage? we don't even use the cyrillic script, not to mention different religion. even if you ignore younger generations that have enough education to know what kind of failure, no scratch that, disaster soviet union was (especially for countries not named russia), what on earth makes your think you'll at least have the support of our older folk? our elders never got brainwashed into "back in the day" demagoguery many slavs in this thread speak about when they put forward their concerns about pro-russia sentiment in their respective countries.
hell, read up on some history, people here gave you the middle finger after WW2 and back then it was a perfect opportunity for your broken dream, so siding today with a timid shell of a powerfull nation Russia once was, is hilarious to say the least. i'm confident Poles, Slovaks, Czech and Slovenians en masse share these views, and while i'm not sure about countries like Bulgaria, they ought to have learned beter by now. also, fuck you.

Also some people who were against anexation are being evicted from their homes. I am sure that 80% if not more of Crimea citizens would like to join Russia. Above that, the same thing can be said for all eastern cities of Ukraine, such as Donetsk or Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and many others. Rigged or not this referendum does not prove anything. Crimea has always been a Russian territory with people who think of themselves as Russians and speak Russian, what other facts do you need? I am not saying that it was absolutely right to "annex" this territory now, but I can't disagree with the fact that russian people live there. Was Hitler right when he invaded Austria? What are you talking about?

That was the most important speech Putin ever gave. Masks just came off.

Missed his speech, what did he said?

No transcript yet, see the twitter account I linked above.
Edit:
Short summary, Russia has the right to annex Crimea and others because of Russian nationals and, more importantly, because the West has deceived and wronged Russia. This will now change.
Signaled the likelihood that Crimea is just the first step.

Won't change anything. They will get hit by another wet noodle (sanction) and that's about it.

Yet all my relatives from Ukraine and these are ~10 ppl support Russia in this way or another, one of them even thinks about emmigration. This, of course does not prove anything, it provides little info on the situation though. Deep social split between West and East which I don't know how you gonna fix, especially now, when Ukraine's new power is weak and the country basically falls apart.

Okay, Putin agreed to add Crimea as a subject of Russia.
What's gonna be next?

Someone linked a study earlier that before the Maidan only 40% in Crimea even identified as Russian. Why would the other 60% want to join Russia if they don't see themself as one. Ok, read studies. I talk to ppl who actually live in Ukraine. Moreover I live in Belarus and frequently visit Ukraine, so I am somewhat aware of the situation. Who do you think I believe?

Positive confirmation bias. All you can prove is that there are people that strongly support Russia in the Ukraine. But you can find the same in Lithuania, but you wouldn't say the two countries are similar in this respect.

I love the russian anthem. It is just the best, par none.
And maybe - in 10 years or even much faster - it will be my anthem...
But wait, Germans are not Slavic. Hmmh, then maybe I will be in a gulag or dead.
