It is becoming more and more apparent that a large part of the russian population seriously believe that we are somehow out to get them.

Just look at some of the interviews posted here on TL and with the UN special envoy Robert Serry.

I personally see no progress, but that's because everything is happening behind closed doors. Russia is obviously trying to avoid being hit with sanctions tomorrow, and protracted negotiations is a way to get that... But we'll see more tomorrow, i guess.
