I feel that I should make this post to question a new up and coming organization in the North American scene. I understand that allegations of a scam are very serious and people(s) reputations are greatly at stake. I will provide enough explanation in my reasoning behind what I've been able to find out.
The first problem I have is what they claim the team is a subsidiary of. The line quoted from this page reads "Established on May 1st 2013, Core Gaming (Core) is owned by CorePro Design LLC, a software consulting company based in California.". Ok, they say they are owned by a software consulting company based in California. So I took a look at the California State Department website to look up this said "company" and this is what I found
There is no business license registered to a company of said name and of any variation of it either. You can even check for yourself here on their website http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/
The only company I could find with such a name was located in Pennsylvania via google search.
Alright so they claim they are owned by a non-existent company. That's problem #1
The second problem I have with this, I found a forum post from a member of this Core Gaming as they were beginning to look for players. The link to the post can be found here http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/9309301425
Now here's where I have a problem, quoted from this guy he said - "That's a bit of a misnomer, you don't get paid actual money. If we were to get big enough, and our leader shows interest in making it an ESports business, that would be a different story. Unfortunately, we're not to that point yet, and I haven't heard of any plans to make it into a business organization. However, if we were to grow large enough that we make a significant enough impact on your play that you were to earn money at some sort of competitive event, then even though you aren't getting paid by the organization, if our stuff was key to helping you get that far, then in a way we helped you get money you wouldn't have had without us. Maybe that kind of counts? It's the best I can think of right now."
So his own words were no one gets paid on the team as they are not at a point of sponsorship support to be able to do so and he heard no plans at the time of turning the team into a professional organization. Based on their wiki.TL page however, they claim their players are being paid salary + offered gear and travel support. Now looking at their page, they claim to have two sponsors, CorePro Design, LLC (the non-existent company) and FundSponge, LLC which offers them 4% of items they sell in their store (based on the information on both Core Gaming's and FundSponge's website). So 1 sponsor is a made up company and the other is essentially an amazon store? How are they able to provide salary + gear + travel support off of making 4% from items bought out of their store and a made up software consulting firm?
My third problem is on their wiki.TL page where they claim all management figures are required to hold a 4 year degree in their respective field regarding the team while holding a full time job and undergoing a background check. Now even though there is no way I could 100% prove this is a lie, this sounds really fishy. A gaming organization that has a made up sponsor and amateur players (this is in no offense to any of the players on the team. I'm sure they are good players but none of them are at the professional level) would require all of their management to hold a 4 year degree already? Secondly back in the "sMi scammed thread" I believe someone posted a skype chat of NanoClouD claiming he would come back under a new name? Well his name now is "Cell". And third, he also claimed in that thread that he plays for his CSL team and compete at local LANs, however based on their team page and their website, he already completed a 4 year degree in neuroscience (how that even applies to being an Operations Director is beyond me) and he must have a full time job based on what he described on that team page.
Now I'm not going to accuse NanoClouD of being behind both this and sMi as that would require a bit more evidence however it seems really odd to me that a player who was just involved with a team that was scammed by a "fake sponsor" is now involved with another team that from what I just showed has a fake sponsor themselves. This along with some of the other accusations that people have made about him and what I provided above, I feel this team is not what they claim to be.
Now for some people who may post trying to say "no named team, who cares" this is still a big issue. For organizations in the North American scene that are working their ways up to becoming professional teams themselves, this reflects very negatively on the scene. Even though professional players may not be involved, guys such as Wannabecool and Sonic who are still familiar names in some areas to be involved in a situation like this really sucks to see. So when players "careers" are at stake and things like this are very apparent to be wrong, I feel people need to speak out against them to prevent another sMi situation from happening.
EDIT: The company located in Pennsylvania is NOT called CorePro Design. There is no existing company with the name CorePro Design with any business license
EDIT #2: Another thing I want to expand on. Management need 4 year degrees in their relating fields? Explain how based on their management page located here http://www.coreprogaming.com/management.html Their operations manager responsible of cashflow management and sponsorship management has a degree in neuroscience and why their communications director has a degree in Biochemistry...
Also take a look at this Their manager who is in charge of video production and content and is supposed to have a degree in such a field made a promo video using "video co-pilot" templates. For someone who is supposed to be (claimed to be a graduate in content and marketing) why would you use video co-pilot templates for After Effects (in a way this is like taking someone else's work) and using it as your own...
You can actually find one of these templates here [http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial/galactic_orb/] And the second is a video used by another team using the same template as well [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVPeKQj4gsc]. Now this may not be as significant but this just piles on to everything else
By this, it claims he invested $10,000 into his team however the team was built on the arcade game Aeon of Storms. No mention of any CorePro Design LLC or CoreTech Engineering LLC. It also states he has a bit of a hated reputation within their comunity.
EDIT #5: Here's a bit more information I came to find out with some help from Quantic Dualan.
A bio engineering and neuroscience student at Purdue University. In also this letter he sent to ROOT.puCK he said this
"Nanocloud Dear Puck,
We haven't met formally but my name is and I'm a student majoring in Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. I'm a senior who will graduate with a 4.0 at the top of my class. I'm an entrepreneur, scientist, and a humanitarian. I own 2 start-up profitable companies and 1 501(c)3 non-profit working in rural Ethiopia. I've worked very hard in every part of my life and that includes my extracurricular. I'm one of the captains of the Purdue Men's Rugby team and well as a captain for our Starcraft team. I'm highly offended that you went on Tume's stream and talked about me.
at 8:30 of this link, you bring up anonymous.
Anonymous does belong to Neeb. I use to be a gm protoss in WOL. I switched to Terran towards the end of WOL and did fairly well. I made it to top 100 GM with Terran. I beat noteable people like pokebunny and eifersuchtig. (They have streamed games with me playing them). I then switched to zerg during HOTS trying to get to GM that way I could achieve GM with all 3 races.
Neeb is a dear friend of mine and I asked him to borrow his account to play games at the GM mmr using terran. Nanocloud account was made for 1 reason, and that is to play zerg. I've played on anonymous and people assumed it was me because I played several games on there.
I also use several other smurfs. Dont pretend like I'm not GM. To prove people like you wrong, I even streamed a fresh account and it took me less than 3 hours to hit gm mmr on it.
I compete at local lans, tournaments, and various other events. I dont dedicate my life to sc2 like you do, as I'm a full-time student but I try my best to play when I have some free-time. Your comments ruin not only my reputation, but the reputation of my team/school, and friends. I dont pay any of my friends to ladder for me. I've always been very good with terran. You can ask people like pokebunny, eifersuchtig, neeb, etc.
The one thing I do know, is that you have an attitude problem. You seem to BM a great deal in game and out of game. I dont know what your problem is but that behavior is quite unprofessional and inapporpriate.
Thus, I'm taking the necessary steps to report you for harassment. You have no right to make allegations like me paying people to ladder my account. That is quite BM. I'm also annoyed that you perma-banned me from Tume's stream.
I also want to point out how is a college student that is studying nanotechnology, is an ambassador, owns 2 profitable companies, is captain of the Rugby team apparently and from what I've seen has traveled out of the country consistently. How is this guy able to commit time to playing starcraft? And a better question, why would he be so clueless as to getting caught up in situations such as this? Also if the accusations against him are true that people have been leveling his accounts, why would such an amazing and hard working individual try to scam people or lie about themselves playing starcraft? Interesting if you ask me
EDIT #6: Some players confirmed to have been paid
EDIT #7: Not all players were paid and team has made more suspicious offers confirmed by Days, a player on Core Gaming.
[12:25:08 PM] Carlos Grijalva: he literally puts me up there with no permission at all. and hes sounding alot like anderson to be honest. telling me hes going to help with my rent and all...... [12:27:56 PM] Hui Shen: so days got no money from core? [12:28:00 PM] Hui Shen: and they put your name up there? [12:28:10 PM] Carlos Grijalva: they offered me money, but the whole thing sounds sketchy [12:28:34 PM] Hui Shen: tell them you will believe it when you get the rent mone [12:28:38 PM] Hui Shen: money [12:28:39 PM] Hui Shen: [12:28:41 PM] Carlos Grijalva: they wouldnt be able to give me any money until novmber 1st.... idk [12:28:48 PM] Carlos Grijalva: so yea sketch
Neurotic lied when he said all players were paid and received gear already. Days also claimed they told him they wanted to help him out with rent and other things, very suspicious.
EDIT #8: Link provided showing PM of NanoClouD admitting to stealing the identity of http://imgur.com/6YszI6b
Core Gaming's Executive Director and other management however defended him earlier in the post claiming they confirmed his identity and were even going to partner with executives from the 2 companies that owns and another confirming he supposedly met in real life from Purdue and claimed to have spoken with his professors regarding his projects however spoke as if he wasn't apart of Core Gaming. Confirmed by their website http://www.coreprogaming.com/management.html
So the guy stole another person's identity and they defended him. I don't know if they were also lied to or in on the lie itself however they claimed to be partnering with said executives from companies that the real NanoClouD does not own. This should raise a major red flag for a lot of people.
People who get offers from them that consider taking them up at the expense of offers from other teams? Just because you wouldn't/can't join doesn't mean other people might not get duped by them if they are a fake/non-legit team.
On August 11 2013 21:05 robert1005 wrote: There have been a lot of scams in e-sports short history as it is easy to do this anonymously online.
Then again, I have never heard of this team eventhough I follow the sc2 scene quite alot. The scam can never be too big.
They are a newly formed team. But looking at some of the players they picked up, Wannabecool was a fairly known player in the NA scene back when he was still with Its GoSu. It's not like completely random players are involved
Thanks for bringing this to light, the party's that this does concern I am sure will be extremely interested as I am sure we all do not want to see sMi 2.0
This is indeed very sad to see. A lot of players on Core are even former sMi Scammies. It is said "Fool me once shame on them, fool me twice shame on me." I suppose it can't be helped. Hopefully people will catch on to NanoCloud and other scams soon enough.
By this, it claims he invested $10,000 into his team however the team was built on the arcade game Aeon of Storms. No mention of any CorePro Design LLC or CoreTech Engineering LLC. It also states he has a bit of a hated reputation within their community.
NanoCloud? Scam attempt story? Fake stuff? Part of tournament earnings? Well, at least 'we are not paying you a cent' part been mentioned and not been used as default one this time.

It is really western-like in NA right now for SC2? With all of these (potential) scamming scheme, maybe it's time big organizations (Teams that is) regroup and implement some rules and shit ? You know, regulation.
Won't prevent scam but at least it will start to put some order there.
As for the guy, Nanocloud or w/e he wants to be called, he seems to have a serious problem. It seems he can't stop lying and this is harming the NA scene, at least imho.
This is Justin - the "executive director" of Core. Thank you for the nice welcome Team Liquid..
We are NOT public yet and will not make our public announcement until September 1st. Our website isn't complete yet and we do not even have all of our overlays and graphics completed. This is the site: coreprogaming.com -- our members area IS complete however and we have roughly 300 members. We also have a private teamspeak.
All of our players have already been paid.. they are paid at the 1st of each month.. they also have received gear already.. I'm not an 'esports' person.
CorePro Design LLC has all paperwork submitted with the state of California and we are drafting the articles of organization and equity distribution. This entity will own Core Gaming because it's easier to channel funding to our players through an LLC than through an actual gaming organization.
Here is a draft post that I made for our incomplete liquipedia page:
Core Professional Gaming (Core Gaming) is a Starcraft 2, League of Legends, and DOTA 2 community comprised of over 300 active members. Established on May 1st 2013, Core Gaming (Core) is owned by CorePro Design LLC, a software consulting company based in California. The community sponsors a professional Starcraft II team, but maintains an amateur status in LoL and DOTA 2. The Starcraft 2 team currently has a roster of 5 high-level grandmaster players with future expansion to 7 or 8 players.
Core strictly maintains a troll-free, friendly environment on it's websites and TeamSpeak server. Anyone is allowed to join Core and use the Core TeamSpeak, provided that they adhere to the community guidelines. If you would like to explore and join Core, the Core community can be found here.
Core is a non-profit, player-centric gaming organization. Each manager of Core denotes his or her time free to the organization. All managers are required to hold a 4-year degree in a field related to their position, must have a full-time job, and must undergo a background check to verify integrity. All money from sponsors and donations goes directly to the players and to the community itself. Management is forbidden from profiting from the organization, except to cover costs and expenses necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.
All Core rostered players receive a monthly salary, gear perks, and travel subsidies for major tournaments. Every player is paid on the 1st of every month.

There are still a number of inconsistencies here.
1. You still have the issue of this "company". You claim the name is "CorePro Design" while your lone sponsor at the moment listed it as "CoreTech Engineering". Now I understand mistakes happen but that would be a very large mistake and sponsors would always be careful to ensure every bit of information is correct. You also just said it was easier to make this company as an LLC for funding purposes however claim it's a software consulting company. What does that have to do with your team?
2. Your "organization" has been around for a couple of months. You were a community for an arcade game and you yourself have been known within the community for having a bit of a bad reputation and you were the former leader of a team prior to this one. I don't see how you can say you're not an e-sports person when you've been involving yourself for months. You also go from just being this community into a professional organization all of a sudden? And a member of your organization claimed before that there were no intentions at the time for the team to become a professional organization. So how do we go from that to this all so soon?
3. You post says everyone involved with the team management wise is required to hold a bachelor's degree in a relating field ti which that person is involved with the team? If that's true, please explain how a guy with a supposed background in neuroscience and nanotechnology has anything to do with managing cashflow and sponsors? And how Biochemistry relates to communications? You also have a supposed creative director for content with a degree himself who makes a promo video stealing the work of a guy who makes After Effects tutorials. Not that I consider this the most important issue but it still shows some of the issues with your claims.
4. You're associating yourself with a person who I quite honestly don't believe he is who he says he is and many people in this community feel the same way. Think to yourself for a moment, how a college student who is currently conducting research in nanotechnology among supposedly having 2 profitable companies would have the time to play and coach players in Starcraft, let alone conduct himself in the ways he has on this website. Plus he claims to be the captain of his CSL team yet is no where to be found on Purdue's starcraft 2 team on their wiki page or their website in the Purdue database. Add that to the multiple accusations that even more notable players have thrown at him regarding his account being boosted, I can't believe anything he claims.
5. You said all players have been played and received gear. Some of this checks out and I've heard players have been paid but from what I've been told, not everyone received gear and the player I've had contact with never once mentioned travel as part of the offer.
I think there's still a lot of explaining for you to do...

eLeVaTioN/TL,
Believe it or not, I actually do appreciate a thread like this. I think it's great that the community questions the integrity of so-called 'gaming organizations' due to the rampant fraud that has taken place. Honestly though, next time you do an investigation.. maybe just contact me? Talk to me on skype? (I pm'd you the details). Hell, if you live by me, come to my office and I'll discuss things with you -- and if you're still skeptical, then definitely continue to make the post.
The LLC is a real LLC, the paperwork was filed last week. California does not let you do online filing.. so I literally have to mail the Articles of Organization to the State and then they have to mail it back and then I have to sign some more things and then mail it back again.. and THEN they will list us an LLC. The reason I had to rush the paperwork is because things have moved much faster than I originally anticipated.. I don't even have the LLC's website launched yet because I'm waiting on final verification from the state.
Next week, go call the Cali Secretary of State's Office and file a motion for full disclosure on paperwork submitted for CorePro Design LLC . You will see that the paperwork is submitted but that in California, they take a LONG time to do anything.
The reason for the LLC is to have a holding company for the gaming entity, but also because our members (managers?) wanted an umbrella name to centralize marketing for their independent consulting services. As one of my side jobs, I do software/web development on an independent contractor basis. This now allows me to mitigate my liability by placing it under a legal entity. The same goes to our other independent contractors who wish to do the same.
As for the battle.net post by SgtSlaughter, he is a regular member of the Core community, but in no way officially represents our vision and direction. The bnet forums post was meant to recruit amateur players to our community, it was not meant as a solicitation for pro players. I sincerely apologize for his post.
Let me reiterate that our organization has not been publicly announced. When we're developing our web infrastructure, we program it to reflect features that we expect to be viable in the next week or so. Highlighting inconsistencies in an incomplete website is like alpha testing a game and saying it's a scam because it doesn't work properly yet.
I will also reiterate that: no manager in this organization will profit 1 penny from the gaming team. All money from our sponsors, both personal and corporate, are itemized expenditures that go directly to the players and support the community infrastructure.
Last thing, referencing our incomplete, under-construction liquipedia page and website, and then performing google searches a processing LLC is not investigating. If you want to actually investigate, call people and talk to people. Talk to the current players and ask them if they are paid. Talk to them and see if they are getting what they are promised. THAT is how you investigate.
Thank you and I look forward to making Core an asset to the SC2 community.
I also want to ask about this company. Now granted I'm a physics major, not a financing major so I may be mistaken. But isn't an Article of Organization simply a form you can fill out to set up an LLC? And why would you need an equity distribution agreement for a gaming team to simply pay players a salary? Equity distributions are for selling stocks...
My best guess would be this post might be jumping the gun a little bit. While possibly warranted in our time of team scamming going on I'd still error on the side of non accusation. Why?
This 'could' be all a scam
or
This could be some software guy who for better or worse threw together his own LLC and is trying to use w/e extra money he has to have a gaming team.
Reality here is this might be less of a case of scamming and more of a case of the owner slightly mis representing his exact situation in order to look more stable and 'legit'. Unless he just so happens to have a crap ton of disposable income (running a team that sends players to tournaments is massively expensive).
How does your sponsor listing a company of a different name have to do with your incomplete website? How do we go from CorePro Design as you claim to CoreTech Engineering that they have listed? Sponsors are always careful to list proper information.
What does your incomplete website have to do with your claim of every management figure holding a bachelor's degree in a relating field yet 2 of them are listed to having degrees in bio-sciences? We still have the issue of your "Creative Director" stealing another person's work yet using it as his own for an organization that will supposedly be owned by an LLC licensed company... Are you ok with "management" with "degrees" stealing another person's work and using it as his own?
Players said they got paid but that was it. From what I've just heard, maybe 2 people got gear and never once mentioned travel support. Sure I can go out, pick up a bunch of players and send them $100 for the first month to make it seem legitimate but again all of the inconsistencies that quite honestly have nothing to do with your incomplete website that you claim them to be still make it hard for me to believe this. You also didn't acknowledge that you've been involved in another community for quite some time and from what they claimed, you're just some rich kid who tried to invest $10,000 into a team.
You can't major in neuroscience and biomedical engineering at the same time. There isn't room in the curriculum to do an engineering double major, let alone an honors program such as neuroscience.

1. CorePro Design LLC is the entity. CorePro Engineering is an old name that was already taken so we had to switch. This caused a delay in the filing.
2. It was a clan since HOTS release actually (under a different name).. I don't consider an organization to be an organization until its held by a legal entity. But as a group, most of our community members have been around for months. It's only recently I made the decision with my associates to actually try to make this dream a reality.
3. Having a degree in neuroscience and biomed does not make you totally oblivious to running an account worth $10k.. buying gear and paying players.. seriously? As for the after effects introductions.. we PURCHASED a license to make those videos.. jesus christ dude. You want me to send you the licensing agreement and receipt?
4. Nano and I have exchanged extensive paperwork regarding his companies' identities, his current employment status, and his overall identity. He actually is who he says he is. Not only that, we are partnering with actual company executives who know him personally and vouched for his integrity. He holds an executive level position in two of his companies.. he does not single handedly run a company.. that is not how companies work. He is a high ranking exec in both of those companies with his value mostly derived from his equity positions. Unlike you, I have spoken and will speak to his coworkers -- because that is how you do true investigations. TL sometimes becomes a rumor mill and people tend to believe what they want to believe.. and what causes the most drama. With Nano, most of that drama is unfounded. I do admit that he does like to troll a bit though
5. All players have been paid and gear is sent on an as-requested basis. Travel to qualifying tournaments is not stated in their agreements, but it is something we will provide on a case by case basis. I do not make any promises that I cannot keep throughout the duration of a contract term.
That's it for these posts for now. The official announcement will be around September 1st We all know that nothing I can really say now will mitigate your quest for drama and 'ah-ha!' discoveries.
So, let's wait until I have all of the official documentation by the date I promised and I will make it available on the official announcement threads in the next few weeks.

Reality here is this might be less of a case of scamming and more of a case of the owner slightly mis representing his exact situation in order to look more stable and 'legit'. Unless he just so happens to have a crap ton of disposable income (running a team that sends players to tournaments is massively expensive).
Actually yes this is it 100%. Ironically, I'm trying to go the LLC route and run accounts through it to make it more legit and less like a loose collective.. This is one of those passionate side-projects that's fun to do because it's a challenge and I just enjoy making things work and seeing if we can help our players succeed in their goals. I don't want, nor do I expect, to ever reach the status of EG/TL, but just to have a stable organization that does what it says it will do is all I'm really going for here.
EDIT: All the player's contracts are fully funded and I do have the disposable income necessary to sustain those contracts without sponsors. Of course, it's always nice to have someone else chip in

1. I don't see any company with the name "CorePro Engineering"...
2. You were first the leader of a team in another game before you had this "Core Gaming" and your reputation was terrible from the information posted about you. It also says you were trying to work with the idea of players being paid for playing that game (paying players to play a fairly unknown and unorganized game? Come on)
3. You're right, having a degree in an engineering field and neuroscience wouldn't make a person oblivious to running a bank account. However that doesn't mean a legitimate entity would allow such a person to do so. I major in a physics field, I could probably run an account just as easily, but does this mean JP Morgan or any company is going to allow me to run financial accounts for them? God no. Unless you have a real background in financing/accounting, you don't fully know what you're doing. And what about your biochemistry graduate working in communications? Explain to me how 2H2 + O2 = 2H2O has anything to do with "Information Security"? And what license agreement would you need to use video co-pilot tutorials? And even if this license agreement existed, wouldn't you think the organization who used that intro 3 years ago would have gotten that agreement instead of you? Machinima is a legitimate company after all, they would have needed one if you claimed to. The problem is I don't see how you would get an agreement after another company already used it.
4. People have claimed a number of things about him, but I still refuse to believe an actual college student who is actively conducting research in nanotechnology would ever or could ever be involved with an e-sports team. From what I've looked up about the college student he claims to be, he claimed to be involved with his collegiate Starcraft team except he doesn't show up anywhere and has been caught using a program to create fake skype convo's... Why would such an upstanding individual have to do such a thing? After all he only travels out of the country quite a bit and runs two companies along with his research. Why would he need to lie about a video game?
5. It's not included in their agreements? Then why does your wiki post claim that all players will receive that?

I'll just step in from the side to comment a bit on this. Now I don't know how math-heavy this neuroscience degree is, but it is not unheard of for graduates from math-heavy fields to be recruited into financial positions (in Denmark at lesat) and I think they can be superior to co-workers with a traditional finance degree in some regards.
While biochemistry in many instances can be viewed as very sophisticated cell communation, I don't see how a major in biochemistry would help one fill a communications position, but this guy may have other experiences that help him - and the degree mainly shows that he is capable of working towards something big (ie. not a slacker).
Atleast I oftentimes think of a major degree as more of a proof that one can work determined towards something big for several years, thus proving one could fill pretty much any position with the necessary effort.

Doing biomedical engineering, you would have a deep understand of mathematics but that doesn't necessarily apply to financing. It's why I provided myself as an example, I do physics and sure I've had to do a lot of math for it but that doesn't mean I understand how to run accounts, manage cashflow and do risk-analysis. No legitimate entity either would allow someone with a biomedical degree to do it either, at least here in the US. Every company has guidelines of you need a degree in a financing or accounting field to work in the area he claims to be doing for this team.
This also seems odd to me how a student who studied neurology and is conducting research in nanotechnology would have the time or be willing to do these sort of things while also running 2 companies and traveling around the world. You know what they say, if it's too good to be true then it probably is. The story of the person he claims to be sounds too good to be true.
yo you guys need to chill with the random bashing and calling Neurotic out for shit he's clearly explained calmly. Neurotic is not Nano. If you have a problem with Nano keep it that way, but shitting on Neurotic's posts make you sound incredibly stupid.
We're trying to discuss whether CorePro is actually legitimate. Neurotic has answered that they're just starting up. Wait until September 1 when he's said they're becoming official before continuing your hate train. If you have an issue in who the management team is and if their credentials line up, that's a separate issue that really doesn't concern you. Neurotic seems smart enough to do his own shit, and if he isn't, then we'll find out in a month. Otherwise, stop calling out people for no reason and use your brain.
Lacking a business license doesn't mean anything. They could be a sole proprietership/DBA; a license is not required to have a business bank account. There's just as good a chance it's a name to make a rich kid sound professional (again, no license), nothing wrong with that either if they're solvent. The NanoCloud guy sounds like a tool, but this is a witch-hunt and OP is full of it.
Either way I hope wannabecool gets back into form and signs with a serious team, he can be a beast.
I'm the founder of Purdue University Starcraft Club and have met nanocloud in real life. Believe it or not he is a real person that studied nanoscience at Purdue. I've even talked to his professors with him about a project they were working on. Nanocloud does like to exaggerate sometimes and troll people which is why people never tend to believe him, but he is a real person. I no longer attend Purdue so I don't know exactly what goes on with the club anymore but I did meet him through club itself. Also, the Purdue site and wiki hasn't been updated in what looks like forever so I wouldn't expect any information of him to be on there. Also people need to realize it is incredibly easy to make a "profitable company". All you have to do is go outside and sell lemonade and make $5 to be a profitable company lol.
This thread seems to be more of a personal vendetta. The Core Gaming leadership seems to be hard working people that are trying their best to make a good team, just give them a chance to prove themselves before you bash over everything.

NaNoCloud? Or his accomplice?
Btw, liquipedia does update pretty frequently, and the Purdue website may be old. But that still puts the Purdue organization's credibility into question.
Also, we know NaNoCloud is a real person, but we also know how much of a compulsive liar he is.
Finally, if you have credible sources, then maybe you wouldn't get this much smack from other people.
EDIT: LOL, I just found out that NaNoCloud just changed his name to Cell! Beware of Cell, you guys!

So you're going to tell me this guy http://developheart.org/about-us/team/ is him? A student who between his research, his jobs and his studies still manages to play Starcraft and be apart of a team? This student travels all over the world constantly, there's no way he manages to do all of that and still play a game for as much as he claims to. And why would he feel the need to defend himself when people accuse him of paying someone to boost his account? For someone who manages to do all of this with his life, I don't see why he would ever care what people thought about him.
Also for a self-proclaimed 4.0 student, he sent a PM to me mocking me for studying physics however couldn't seem to say the word properly as he called it "Physic" every time he mentioned the word. This isn't a personal vendetta, this is if a team associates with a person that not many people believe he is who he says and carries a bit of a bad reputation, I don't see how that team could be serious. And as pointed out above, there's a few problems I still find with the rest of it. Getting a license agreement to use an After Effect tutorial intro? After another company already used it? Having a biochemistry major run communications? Your "executive director" coming in with a bad reputation from the previous community he came from? Not to mention I literally have a list of team managers saying negative things involving members from Core already, including a Core manager coming into a player's twitch chat promising him salary and gear (because legitimate organizations work in such a manner...).
Unless low-level players are part of some bigger organization (like quantic or clairty academy), then any team says they have sponsorship and can offer them salary, flights, and gear is an obvious con. There is no way in hell a company would want to sponsor these teams.
Let me also point out that it was shown NanoClouD used a program to forge skype conversations regarding another team called LYGF and even involving Quantic. This can actually be confirmed by a number of managers as well as the "sMi scammed" thread. So an individual stooping to the level of forging skype conversations and making up rumors (you think this thread is just me making stuff up? He literally made up a conversation trying to show a manager from LYGF calling Clarity Gaming a scam team). At least I can show inconsistencies in how things were presented and claims being made that a lot of people agree with me on, the individual you associate however tried to actually screw over a team and also lied about Quantic being interested in picking up his little group.

To be fair, we had to take a course in project evaluation, risk analysis and cash flow balances as a part of our engineering degree. We also had more courses in project management, corporate law, and business ethics.
I don't believe his neuroscience/biomed eng double major though as those curriculums don't overlap enough to satisfy all of the pre requisites for both degrees. He likely did a biomed engineering degree with his 2-4 science options being all biology and neuroscience classes. If that's te case, then he knows as much as your average 2nd year bio student.

The Core Gaming leadership seems to be hard working people that are trying their best to make a skeleton foundation for their sponsors so as to give the illusion of a well off stable team, just give them a chance to get everything in place before you bash them and when everything is done try to forget about all of this and take their word for it. It will take roughly 35 days for nanocloud to dismember it again and for yet another thread to pop up over this stuff.
I also major in everything purdue has to offer and have been there for 67 years doing so.
excuse me but how old are you?
I'm 68, I was a very gifted child at an early age.
At least find someone more realistic to impersonate. 4.0 biomedical engineer, neuroscientist, travel the world, and still has time to run 2 companies and complain on forums. Gtfo out of here LOL.
Seriously I make one post and get mocked? I've been playing starcraft and visiting this site before Starcraft 2 even came out. Here is our csl team from when I first started the Purdue Club... + Show Spoiler +
Also yes Nanocloud is in project heart and is the person on the website. Anyway, I'm not going to bother posting on here anymore to get flamed for every post. Especially when the thread is all about someone's personal life instead of talking about great Starcraft games and matches like it should be.
Thanks for bringing this up, OP. Giving Nanocloud's history of compulsive lying and his involvement (indirect maybe but involvement nonetheless) in other scams, it's important to raise questions like these. It seems odd that to have achieved as much as he claims while has shown to been consistently unprofessional and shady. New names? When you try be involved in esports, changing your ID all the time is weird. You want to get known as a good player with integrity so people will want you in their organization. His technique is just silly, tailor made for people who'd rather not have their identity and history be known. Sure, many of these accusations are perhaps not proven and may be false, but you have to do something wrong to have such bad rep. With this in mind, it's easy to understand the necessity for this thread.
While I appreciate Neurotic's calm responses, the truth of the matter is that he addresses very little. Hard confirmations of the clan's legitimacy should not be hard to provide. Things like confirmation of payment by players are simple enough things, yet nobody has stood up. You simply don't become a professional starcraft player overnight, and you'd expect they be active members of the community, and that they would have active accounts on TL..Where is JonSnow to comment? Wannabecool? Days?
Core gaming is most likely a scam, otherwise Neurotic would have provided more straightforward responses. He didn't answer questions about the company funding the team. You don't just have a bunch of disposable income while being a completely unknown company, especially in this economy. Who and where are the amateur players who are just getting paid and getting gears while known professional korean and foreign players remain teamless? Too many holes to believe this, sorry. The only supporters are unknown people part of management, the whole pea_Sea thing is hilarious. OP getting hate mail for studying physics? Just pathetic.
On August 12 2013 06:49 pea_Sea wrote: Especially when the thread is all about someone's personal life instead of talking about great Starcraft games and matches like it should be.
What about the personal lives of the players on the team? People are concerned and that's why they're taking action.
atm, we have the statements of neurotic and even elevation stating that at least some players confirmed payment. thus I think we have to wait for further details to be revealed before judging. Also this whole degree discussion is really bugging me: In the working world ppl with degrees work outside their repective fields of study all the time. A Physics degree won't get you into accounting with JP Morgan but we are talking a gaming project here. Having a management composed of members who all have a degree makes them already more professional than most teams out there. Also, many and more start ups are run (or were initially) by ppl without any business degree yet are very successful.
This is crazy because I was actually the very 1st person to accuse Nanocloud of being a fraud about being top 16 gm and bragging about it. I was just tired of hearing this guy say he was beating polt and byun on NA ladder so I did my reasearch I have the chat logs of skype to prove it dating back to May 3 2013. Ive asked him to play me numerous times when i confronted him but declined every time. When I googled his name i was actually amazed to see his acomplishments. Double degree and an ambassador and self-proclaimed top 16 grandmaster in starcraft2? If that really is Nanocloud then why bother lying in starcraft 2 a video game at that? I just dont get it.
[Core] Neurotic, if you are running a legit team, you wouldn't want someone with no integrity and a sense of fairness in your team right? nanocloud proudly points himself out as someone who boosted accounts for others. The evidence is here

Oh god, the above chat log. How does anyone believe these people?! Unless you're getting an actual binding contract from a legitimate organization you should have them either front you payment or something to show they're actually willing to support you as a player. How can you believe this sort of stuff? I feel really sorry for Sonic and the others, but... you guys should get a second opinion or something first. edit for the post below: I wanted to hear it from a player, especially with the chat log above. Good for you guys then Hopefully it stays that way~

congraz to everybody getting pick up by a legit team. I am happy for you sonic, you made the right decision.
"That's a bit of a misnomer, you don't get paid actual money.
After I read this, I didn't have to read anymore. This is a damn shame.
A couple of things I want to point out. First, he claims he's captain of Purdue's starcraft 2 team. Here is there wiki page (Wiki)User:FosTA/Purdue Starcraft Club and their official website on Purdue's database http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~pscc/index.html
I do not have the time to read each post since they are all wall of texts. But just encase if Prudue Starcraft Club is getting some questions about the Wiki page. I only helped with the template .
Its kinda weird to see your name in the opening post about a scam.
Another Nanocloud shitstorm thread? close this pleaseeee. sorry to hear about the players affected negatively, but these pitchforks and drama posts are just too much.
Weird cuz when I heard about this team and saw how it was coming to be my immediate instincts once again were that something was not right with it. Some players are taking a leap of faith :o

Scamming sucks and props to eLeVaTioN on such a detailed write up.
I have one question though: how do sites like fundsponge even work? How can people pay the normal amazon price and both fundsponge make money to exist and the benefiting party get the 4% of the cost? Does amazon give up some of their profit to allow this to exist or something?!?!

perhaps, for journalistic balance, the above post should be quoted in the OP? Since it is evidence in the favour of Core Gaming not being a scam. While I agree that there are some sketchy things going on, that isn't anywhere near enough evidence to support the claim of it being a scam... especially since you have one of the players stating outright that they have been paid.
p.s.... i took the time to read the whole thread, it is quite obvious that most of the last 10 posters didn't even read anything past the OP. This is why you need to add the above evidence!
Its obvious nanocloud will never come out and admit his stupidity.. But if nanocloud was speakin the slightest truth about himself, itd be so easy to prove everyone wrong.. First step in proving this guy nanocloud is even remotely honest about himself is to stream with cam and play at high level GM PROTOSS , TERRAN AND ZERG.
This is crazy because I was actually the very 1st person to accuse Nanocloud of being a fraud about being top 16 gm and bragging about it. For a second I was gonna ask him to bride me to keep it a secret and ask him why do this but then I thought it just a video game. I love sc2 from the bottom of my heart and i just want the scene to grow. This person is truly vile, greedy and overall disgusting human being.
So im asking TL a 2ND time to ip ban this person. Didnt even know people like that existed.

It works just like any advertising works. Amazon wants more customers so they pay out money to get them. Someone might normally buy from Walmart, but once they hear of fundsponge.com, they buy from Amazon to support their favorite team. This way, amazon gets more customers, FundSponge gets money for handling all the work, and the organizations or teams get money for helping to advertise. Teamliquid does the same thing if you buy Starcraft through their store. Its a win for everyone.

Just because their players got paid for 1 month (and not all of them confirmed by Days) that doesn't mean the team isn't a scam. From the information I've found about Neurotic, people are claiming he's just some rich kid trying to throw money into something, not a business man. Even one of their players confirms this is a sketchy situation, them saying they want to help out with their rent payments? Team claiming to a sponsor that they're owned by said company that doesn't exist (I don't see how any real business even if they were starting up would give a name that hasn't even been registered and approved of yet) then claims another one? Them associating with a known compulsive liar who also tried to completely screw over a team and is known for getting account boosted? I never claimed they wouldn't be able to provide anything, I said they aren't who they say they are and I still find that to be an issue for their players. When you have your own players coming in, confirming not everyone got paid and it's sketchy, then team managers telling me a number of issues they've had with their management coming into twitch chats promising salary and gear among other things. No I don't have set proof this team is entirely a scam like sMi, but there are way too many things that don't make sense and they still haven't answered any of my questions or questions of other people.
EDIT: The link above showing NanoClouD admitting to stealing the guy's identity. However "Core Gaming" defended him saying they had personally spoken to him confirming he is who he says and spoke to his colleagues... So how can you expect people to believe everything else they are saying when they came in here and lied from the start? Also claiming that they were partnering with the executives of Nano's supposed companies... So you plan to start up a company partnering with executives from a company that an individual claimed he ran? This right here is a major red flag now.
Core Gaming's Executive Director and other management however defended him earlier in the post claiming they confirmed his identity and were even going to partner with executives from the 2 companies that Milad owns and another confirming he supposedly met Milad in real life from Purdue and claimed to have spoken with his professors regarding his projects however spoke as if he wasn't apart of Core Gaming. Confirmed by their website he is management for them http://www.coreprogaming.com/management.html
So the guy stole another person's identity and they defended him. I don't know if they were also lied to or in on the lie itself however they claimed to be partnering with said executives from companies that the real NanoClouD does not own. This should raise a major red flag for a lot of people. The company was being started up based on a lie essentially.
Link posted above regarding NanoClouD's PM is here http://imgur.com/6YszI6b Thanks to Rickyville21 for posting

Core is not a scam, it is a work in progress. We are not at the "true" professional level, but that doesn't mean we are a lie either. I am actually highly interested as to how NanoClouD is going to try to wiggle out of this one. I am pretty sure he will try at some point. Even more interested as to what Core is going to do about Nano or if they will just say "W.E. HE IS GM WITH ALL 3 RACES 2IMPORTANT YOLO"

He can easily get out of this one by making a video of himself stating his association with core gaming. which will confirm his identity is not fake. But he still have to answer the self admitted boosting accounts to GM.
and if he can't produce such a video, we just have to keep assuming this confession is real.

So I think I'm in the right here when I say the credibility of your "organization" is in question.
NanoClouD physically admitted to stealing the identity of Milad and your organization defended him. Neurotic claimed he had spoken to supposed executives of the 2 companies that Milad owns and was going to partner with them for this "CorePro Design, LLC". But Nanocloud admitted he's not Milad so Neurotic lied about it. He never had confirmation of his identity nor did he ever speak with these executives. The plans for his "company" are a fraud.
Ok some players got paid for 1 month, that still doesn't mean the team isn't a scam or a fake. I could easily tell players that I'll give them $300 a month salary and even send them their pay for the first month, but does this mean people are going take it? Some people who don't check into things might but others would question me. Those players joined your team thinking they're be backed by a start up company that is partnering with a man known as Milad, so until you can provide some hard evidence proving Nanocloud is in fact Miladi, then your team lied to the players and that is a scam.
I also still want answers to everything else I did point out because no one has even been able to explain anything other than Neurotic saying he is starting up a company that supposedly going to own "Core Gaming".
Edit1: Nanocloud has only recently joined the team. If he is a scammer, that's his business. If he is caught scamming people, he will be thrown out of Core. He is not any part of Core leadership and is not running the show.
please do, he is a scamer evidence about his real skill compare to his skill when he is playing ladder is here he's already caught, by both SCA and sMi. and he proudly admitted on boosting many people's account into GM for money. the evidence is here
please do kick nanocloud out of the team, but keep the player who came with him to the team. They are all talented young players, none of them has anything to do with the scams

I think I see NanoClouD's business model now.
1. Pay someone to boost him to GM to gain some reputation 2. Offer to boost other players to GM for money 3. Pay someone (less than what he is paid) to boost other accounts to GM 4. ??? 5. Profit.
So he's just an account boosting middleman.
P.S. This is just speculation if he really isn't good enough to boost accounts on his own. xD

My guess is that it's all bullshit. That's probably the best answer you'll get.

Not that it confirms he is or isn't who he says he is, but I read that entire PM as sarcasm. Of course, it could be reverse psychology...
We've given him multiple chances though to prove who he claims to be. People have asked him to get on webcam, he's always denied. I actually sent Milad a message on Facebook and told nanocloud to respond back if it was in fact him, he never did. He even claims to stream his games yet his livestream is set to private and told me he would privately livestream skype conversations to me regarding sMi and now this Core team. Why does it have to be private? And everyone I've talked to all agree it doesn't make sense how a person who claims to do everything in his life that he claims to would even have the time to play starcraft and argue on the forums over a video game.
I was wondering what the real reason for why this thread was made. Now it makes more sense.
On August 12 2013 13:30 eLeVaTioN wrote: So the guy stole another person's identity and they defended him.
Jumping to conclusions like this is ridiculous. You have no idea what is going on in the team but you still accuse it of scamming people? If you had a concern about a person on the team, you could have just as easily messaged people on the team to see what is going on before posting on here. Obviously a 10 minute google search that showed next to nothing doesn't prove any sort of scam. What would even be the point of paying out money if it was a scam? How do you think they are making money at this point or will in the future as a scam if they are just paying it out to their players? Why would a team trying to scam others decide to make contracts with players which can be legally enforced? None of this makes any sense.
Also, Nanocloud is still Milad from Purdue that was posted earlier... I am still who I said I was earlier as well... and this team is a real organization. Even if he did get boosted or boosted someone else (which I have no idea because I don't watch him 24/7), he is not one of the professional players on the team so I don't get what the big point is. Milad is still a person with several skills which can be beneficial for the team. Also the team isn't even broadcasting out NanoCloud as being a good person on the team site. This whole thread started with just a broad accusation with no proof about a new team that is trying to make a good name for itself. The Starcraft community will have to get beyond accusing whole teams of people on whims and learn to embrace change if it wants to advance beyond will it is today. Change is where progress comes from if you give it a chance to prove itself. Obviously not everyone on the team even knows 100% how things will go in the future, but that doesn't mean everyone on the team isn't trying to make it succeed.

The big point is he's dishonest and does not value fair play, for example, he can not be trusted in a clan war situation where he can have people not even from the team playing in the accounts of the players in the team. The big point is Core gaming's reputation is at stake here.
I lost count how many times "coregaming" msged me on sc2 asking if I was interested in a team. If I remember correctly I only replied once.. and it was after they said "what do you not like money?" after I kept ignoring them, I insta responded "lol" Because I'm not a new cat at this game. I can see when things are fishy a mile away.
I hope everything works out for all the Gamers involved. GLHF
Ok this whole thing has been bugging me. I am(well just graduated so I suppose was) a member of Purdue Starcraft Club's team. I was Vice President of the club last semester and the team's official caster. When I left, I was also one of the club's oldest members. Here is proof of me casting some of the team's Collegiate Starleague games(ignore the fact that I sucked at casting as it was literally the start of my casting career). Proof of my identity(Viewer discression, vods are from 2011 and I SUCKED at casting. Please do not judge me by these if you see me casting in the future >>) + Show Spoiler +
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~pscc/ Announcement post for the Fall 2012 callout is by me, proving I was VP of the club.
Ok so now that I've established my identity, let's talk about what I will confirm about Nano. I will note that there are some things I won't talk about because I am not going to spill the beans on the entirety of his life on the internet.
1) Nanocloud is not some identity theft scheme. He is who he says he is and he did go to Purdue for the degrees mentioned. He did in fact have a hand in a lot of different organizations at Purdue University.
2) He was a member(not captain) of Purdue's Starcraft Club. He did indeed play in a few CSL games for our team. If CSL's website wasn't constantly being redesigned I would link to his profile on it. The Liquidpedia article does not include him because we basically asked players to add their names themselves and Nanocloud was on sMi or .SCA when the page was created.
3) Prior to the big post on the sMi incident, Purdue's Starcraft Club facebook page was messaged by some members of Team .SCA asking about Nanocloud. Unless another member of the club spoke differently in a completely seperate private message, there is no record I am aware of indicating that we indicated Nanocloud being a gold level player. I made this response based on watching him play during in person club meetings and the fact that he had a masters level account. I do not know where the allegations came from that we claimed he was a gold level player in the sMi thread. I said Masters because the variations in skill between Masters and GM are lost to me. + Show Spoiler +
4) I have not been keeping tabs on nanocloud and his endeavors since .SCA and sMi. I cannot speak to the legitimacy or illegitimacy of Core Gaming. Nanocloud is a friend of mine and I would like to believe that he wouldn't do things such as many allegations have been thrown, but it's not my place to confirm or deny it. I stand by my
5) Purdue Starcraft Club is not involved with any of the allegations made. I know the Starcraft community too well and often times conclusions are jumped to far too fast. Regardless of your belief of what is true or false about Nanocloud, do not bring or associate those allegations with Purdue Starcraft Club. It is a club full of people who love Starcraft and e-sports. We're a club that don't have club dues because we want to encourage anyone and everyone to join. Our goal in our participation in the CSL and other events such as the URTL has been to have fun and bond more as a team and as friends. I say this because I have been asked by more 7 or 8 people in the past month or so about this whole thing because of my relation to Nanocloud via the club. I've been in the club since the year SC2 launched and love it and the people in it to death so understand why it's heartbreaking to know the club is being talked about in regards to someone being a scam artist that belongs to the club. [/emotionalrant]
I say I'm speaking for the club but I am not the president(nor was I, I was just the VP), nor am I actually at Purdue University anymore. I was, however, a very active member of the club and I like to think I knew what was going on. I see the drama in this thread spiraling out of control from researched facts(that I have no idea about as I don't know and haven't asked about the funding of Core gaming, etc.) to exaggerated claims(such as identity theft) that I know are not true. I am a huge believer in the semi-pro team community and I understand why this is important to many people(and I believe it is as these are serious allegations), but please try and keep a level head in regards to these things. The incident today during WCS finals where "Terry the Intern" jokingly got fired by NASL and reddit BLEW UP about it when it was(at least to me) pretty clearly just a joke about how it was his last day as an intern. If this stuff is important to you, keep a calm head, don't jump to unnecessary and conclusions, and handle it like adult.
Anyways, that's my two cents to the situation. It's getting late and I have work in the morning so forgive me if my wording isn't 300% precise as I don't have time to review my post and change the wording to be perfect.
Quick edit because this was bugging me: Pea_Sea made a comment earlier

I can confirm Pea_Sea did found the club and was president when I joined and he does know nanocloud outside of starcraft.
I'm Skydie and have been semi-active, taking occasional long term breaks, in the Aeon of Storms community for over a year now. I can't address most of the concerns you've mentioned OP, however I'd like to pick up on your point of referring to the Wikia article on Neurotic. First of all the site is now out-dated, due to a recent balance patch, but it's also a non-serious site. I know I'm slipping into ad-hominem territory but in the spoiler I've posted a link to the main contributors page. + Show Spoiler +
The majority of the 'Mumble/Inhouse' community initially had a lukewarm reception to Neurotic, who admitedly were not used to Neurotic's more non-nonsese approach to tournaments and events. It's true he doesn't like trolling/griefing and admitedly it was a shock to the system for many people that suddenly players in a community entrenched deep in trolling, would now have to clean up their behaviour to participate in his events. That is a testament to his credibility, he is ambitious and knew that to make any real progress i.e recruiting talent; you can't go around swearing left right and centre and constantly using racial-slurrs. But I know overall Neurotic has benefited Aeon of Storms greatly, and although there are people hostile to him the majority of players greatly appreciate what he has done.
PS: You may look me up on the Aeon of Storms website, and realise that yes I do troll a lot. However I maintain a clean image whenever representing my Clan [UFAM] and in all my contact with the Core community.
PS PS: UFAM is part of Core Gaming. I am only a member of UFAM.

Cmon Rei, Pea_sea is nanoclouds account. You should know better
Well, I'm a member of the Core Gaming community (We are a community of people, not just for SC2 which came up very recently as Neurotic and his management staff handled much business to make an amateur pro gaming team) and I think that this entire thing is a step in the somewhat right direction.
As with any new thing, someone will find a way to break in and exploit it. I hope Cell isn't one of those people, but if so, then so be it, it will be handled, I'm sure. But the community is what makes us up. We have a small group of people on our teamspeak who enjoy playing a variety of games in our little different groups (like I personally like to play League of Legends). We're a community and we attempt to help each other.
Neurotic has been pushing this from the ground up. We started playing a small, unknown game called Aeon of Storms, a League of Legends-inspired MOBA built on the SC2 engine by RedHydra and his brother Ekco (I forgot his full username). Everyone criticized Neuro because he built on the clan system for it, but the community has grown for the game anyways, even after countless amounts of change. We have teamspeak sanctioned matches (which are matches on teamspeak, run by a director or a executive, for our inhouse Aeon of Storms games) and Neuro will occasionally increase odds for victory for our ladder, making it a very kind of interesting lottery. He's actually a cool guy, and if he's really trying to con everyone, he's ripping himself off in the process, which would kind of defeat the purpose of being so toxic. I'm sure he's not screwing around and maybe Nano isn't the demon the people make him out to be. We don't know yet, but time will reveal the truth.
May as well wait for the official announcement and not really push into the light the vague facts and early beginnings of the clan. If things are bad and someone is poisoning it, we (as a community) will push him out. If all is well, we may be able to keep expanding and try to reach the higher levels of the games we play.
Until then, let's wait for Neurotic's official release of the information before we jump to "x is scamming us" and "this company is a fraud wtf".
If you have any questions regarding the community and how we run, feel free to ask me. I'm Nuparu on League of Legends and my SC2 NA name is Nuparu.844 if you need to contact me.

Just stop right there.
First off I have no association with Rei from sMi. The reason I made this thread was because this entire team seemed sketchy, not because some compulsive liar was boosted into GM. I could honestly give two shits about him paying someone to boost his account, what I care about are teams who come in and lie about various things.
Jumping to conclusions? Are you so delusional to your own bullshit that you don't see what's been presented? One of YOUR players confirmed a skype conversation between himself and another person explaining that Core seemed sketchy, that he didn't get his money or gear (which contradicts what Neurotic claimed that everyone received pay and gear already) and that you guys were even discussing helping him pay for his rent (Like that sounds legitimate). I have skype conversations with other team managers claiming people from Core were coming into their players' twitch chats promising them salary and gear to come join Core (because a real organization would conduct their business over a skype conversation.) We then have a screenshot of NanoClouD saying he stole the identity of Milad . Now people are right, it could have been sarcasm however considering he's turned down every opportunity to prove that he is who he says and you haven't provided proof to confirm his identity either (other than saying you supposedly met him at Purdue) then what else should we believe? We can also prove that he's used programs to forge skype conversations to try and screw over teams and also help himself get out of the sMi situation without taking any shit so we know he is a compulsive liar. It's not about him not being a player, it's about your executive director claiming he's starting up a company that's going to be partnered with Milad and his associates. However the only evidence currently shown goes against Nanocloud and since he's denied every opportunity to prove us wrong, then I guess that screenshot is true and he lied about his identity (which most of us are certain he did anyways). Core Gaming may be a team that has paid some cash out but right now there's been no real answering of questions and all you want to say is "there's no proof". We brought our side of this to the table, where is your proof to prove us wrong?
A bio engineering and neuroscience student at Purdue University. In also this letter he sent to ROOT.puCK he said this
"Nanocloud Dear Puck,
We haven't met formally but my name is Milad and I'm a student majoring in Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University.
Interesting if you ask me
eLeVaTioN, you have made several statements on here that are just flat out wrong. How is an organization supposed to prove it is not a scam? That is like telling someone to prove that they have never done anything wrong. There is no document that can 100% prove this. Also I would just like to point out that Libel from making defamatory statements can get you into a lot of trouble with the law by opening yourself up to potential civil and criminal liability. Finding out Milad is a real person by getting served by him would be a funny scenario though.

Which parts were wrong? That one of your players confirmed he didn't get paid and this contradicts what Neurotic claimed earlier?

That people from Core have gone into twitch chats promising players salary and gear?
[8/11/2013 2:43:20 PM] Kenny 'Ajukrejzi' Steen - Team Darkstar: Core (dont remember the name of the person) offered my new player gear and shizzle for joining core in his streaming chat wich is extremly unproffesional or lies. he looked like a big troll to me.
That nanocloud isn't who he says? Again the only hard evidence we have is the screenshot of a PM of him saying he stole his identity. I'm still awaiting for him to get on webcam or even reply to my facebook message I sent him. He's only had 12 hours since I sent it and I know he's there... What about him lying and forging skype conversations trying to fuck over Quantic's and LYGF's managers?
[8/11/2013 7:21:26 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: he lied to everyone [8/11/2013 7:21:33 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: that quantic wanted him [8/11/2013 7:21:39 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: then when I bashed at him for that [8/11/2013 7:21:40 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: in TL [8/11/2013 7:21:51 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: he claimed that I called clarity a joke [8/11/2013 7:21:52 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: and a scam [8/11/2013 7:22:02 AM] Pascal Anton: same thing he did to me [8/11/2013 7:22:07 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: first time he even applied to quantic [8/11/2013 7:22:11 AM] JM "QuanticDualan" Dualan: I already denied him
And I posted the link somewhere in this thread that's a post from LYGF proving he forged those conversations.
For the sake of this thread, I honestly wish I'm wrong about this but right now it doesn't seem that way. He's been caught in lies time and time again and numerous teams have plenty of negative things to say about him, even teams that he's never truly been associated with. And as I said if he's lying then your organization lied.
I would also like to point out when multiple people (over 20 actually) have all shared similar stories or just in general had negative things to say about nanocloud as well as him being caught in lies, I don't think this is libel.

Libel is a very tricky subject to tread on. Here's the criteria for proving libel: 1) The statements are false 2) The statements caused harm 3) The statements was made without adequate research into the truthfulness of the statement AND 4) The statement was made with the intent to do harm or with reckless disregard for the truth.
The accusation of NaNoCloud being a fake person may be libel on criterias 1 and 2. 3 is a maybe, but that evidence was really open to interpretation. But 4 is definitely the compromising factor. eLeVaTioN made that accusation not out of reckless disregard for the truth. As a matter of fact, his research was based on finding the truth. Thus, your threat for libel accusation falls flat.
Basically, you are making a deep accusation against eLeVaTioN. Furthermore, unlike you, he is providing concrete proof. True, not everything can be revealed in a document, but you should do your best to present the evidence proving NaNoCloud's innocence. Now, it seems that NaNoCloud is not impersonating anyone, and that's cool. However, the amount of distrust from the SC2 community is not unwarranted. He has lied and manipulated the situation unfairly at the expense of other people's credibility.
Btw, your credibility, I think, should check out (for now) because feardragon seems like a legitimate figure who can vouch for you.
To be honest, I was never part of the drama to begin with. I learned more about NaNoCloud when the sMi scamming came out of hand.
At first, I thought NaNoCloud was an innocent by-stander. However, when I heard from other SC2 players such as those from SCA, Quantic Gaming, and other streamers, NaNoCloud is definitely someone I would be distrustful of.
To me, if you are wrongly proven guilty, then you should try your best to prove your innocence before pinpointing the other person's wrongdoing. For a person being a JD candidate, I am very surprised that you don't seem to understand that fundamental concept.
If you know him IRL, then that's cool. But sometimes, people can present very different sides when they are online.
Finally, you can try defending him all you want, but as a community, Starcraft 2 fans have a hard time forgiving and forgetting because eSports is currently an easily exploitable business (even a major company such as IGN has not paid their participants, and a huge Korean company LG is not paying the teams they were sponsoring). We want the NA eSports scene to grow especially yours. However, after seeing a series of major scandals, Starcraft 2 fans are definitely distrustful of new professional teams that don't have a stable source of information. Furthermore, your management has not provided COMPELLING evidence for us to put our doubts to rest.
You can bash eLeVaTiOn all you want, but as a 3rd party observer, I believe he has the upper hand in this discussion. Yeah, he's wrong on several points, but he still has proof to back up most of his claims especially on his accusation of compulsive lying.
If you want to defend NaNoCloud against "liable", well, now is a good time to put your JD education to use, good sir!

Also I would just like to point out that Libel from making defamatory statements can get you into a lot of trouble with the law by opening yourself up to potential civil and criminal liability. Finding out Milad is a real person by getting served by him would be a funny scenario though.
If you want to defend NaNoCloud against "liable", well, now is a good time to put your JD education to use, good sir!
you are sophisticated as fuck bro, that was fun to read
Everything this NaNoCloud guy is involved in just keeps getting better and better. I mean...break out the popcorn.
Is Core a dodgy clan? Who exactly is this Neurotic guy? Why do none of their sponsers actually appear to exist? What, exactly, does Neuroscience have to do with being Operations Director for a gaming team? Did anyone get paid or are people just pretending to be paid? What about the people claiming they know the ones involved? How about that identity theft controversy?
All or possibly none of these questions will be answered next time on TL Forum Drama Time!
Personally I'm just waiting for it to be revealed that NaNoCloud, Anderson Barrett and Neurotic are all the same person. Then he rips a face mask off and it turns out to be Destiny trolling everyone.

I do not know where the allegations came from that we claimed he was a gold level player in the sMi thread. I said Masters because the variations in skill between Masters and GM are lost to me.
The evidence about his play on GM and his play with me is here You can see the games yourself, his apm, his hotkey, his mineral usage during times in need of multitasking, all of them are vastly different between the one game he played with me and those 2 game people went into him on ladder. He claim to be top GM skill level with all 3 races and all 9 match ups, you think someone with that kind of skill would lose to me someone who barely made it into masters by grinding over 700 games?
Nanocloud can clear his identity by post a video of himself stating his involvement with core gaming. Just a 10 second video and all he had to do is say "hi, i'm nanocloud and i am a manager of core gaming". That way we will have his face matches that of the Facebook page. Or if he doesn't want to do this, I can do it for him, answer my video skype call and I will record the conversation and post it here.
However even if his has proven his identity he still has no excuses on boosting ppl's account for money, you can't defend him on something he self admitted and then tried to delete the evidence by editing his post, but lucky for us, someone quoted his ass before he edited it out. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=423478¤tpage=7#129 This alone is enough to not associate your team with him. and If you really want him as management after knowing the above facts, have him change his name, lie to the community by saying nanocloud is expelled from core gaming, and then have him manage the team anyways. It will save a lot of trouble.
Keep the players that came with nanocloud but exclude this nanocloud person, in fact remove all the management staff that came in together with nanocloud, because you can't trust any of them to not be nanocloud, he's has lied to this community too many times.
I hope to see Core gaming do well, because the players in core have real talents.
I will comment on the first part of your analysis since it is a little misleading. For one, local governments issue business licenses, not the state. So depending on which city their business is operating (e.g. San Francisco, Oakland), that's where they get their license. Many startups use the phrase "based in Caliornia" because they register their corporation somewhere else, usually Delaware, but their offices and operations are in California. So the state site you link would be to find whether their LLC is registered in California.
Although it is compelling that you can't find a website for the companies. Contrast that with EG's site, which is also barren about actual contact or organizational information, but it is more than eager to link you to sponsors. In fact, EG's site pushes their sponsor links in your face on every page.
I appreciate the intent of this thread, and in the context of online gaming, the research done by the original author seems comprehensive. HOWEVER, hate to break it to you, but sometimes the internet doesn't have all the information! (what? no way! the internet knows everything and everything on the internet is true!) Yeah, no.
CorePro Desing, LLC was incorporated a couple of days ago. Now, I know we've all come to expect excellent and speedy service from the state (yeah right) but try checking back in a couple of weeks. As a profession I worked with 12 start-up companies over this summer. All of them exist, I'm certain of that. Try googling them? Nothing. Doesn't mean that anything that doesn't show up in google doesn't exist. Just means it could be new.
And where does it say Core paid all of our players? Yes, you can find many players who haven't been paid, and were not promised pay. Congrats. But instead of going behind our backs and doing shoddy research, why not ask, who HAS been paid? And you will find the players who have been paid, just as promised.
Also, no where did we say our promotional videos were entirely created from scratch. And no, it's not "taking someone else' s work." Why would they create video templates if they didn't want other people to use them? You're supposed to edit and use them as your own. In fact, that's entirely the purpose of video templates. So that statement just seems slander-ish and abrasive.
There's so much more that's just wrong about this thread that could've been entirely clarified by a 10 minute chat with Neurotic or many other members in Core. Instead, the author of this post (who apparently is all about "fair game" and honor) decides to back-door Core, instead of doing the "fair" thing and talking to us first. Thanks.
If anybody believes this drama or has any questions about Core, feel entirely free to talk to anyone on the management team or visit our site and see that we've created something out of nothing that our members love and we're not trying swindle people, we don't make money off of anyone, in fact we've all put in so much time and money, we're pretty much doing it for everyone else. The author asks how we have time to do all this while keeping up in SCII. We don't. I don't remember the last time I've played a video game. Because all the free time I have I spend making Core into something better for the community.
We're all in eSports together, and we'd all like it to become something bigger than it is. So I say we work together, instead of backstabbing others in the industry, god only knows why.
This is so funny! Wow, creating false persona to vouch for a false persona that's in turn vouching for a false persona. I'm cracking up. Wow, the whole Perdue SC2 team is on teamliquid.
Oh geez, I'm crying tears of laughter reading through this crap. Man, Nanocloud, Cell or whatever, thanks for this little bit of amusement.
Etegration, appreciate what you're trying to do, at least for any gullible aspiring esports undiscovered talant, but at some point, its better to just stay away from crazy. You can't reason with them, you can't appeal to their basic human decency because crazy is just that: crazy.
If anybody believes this drama or has any questions about Core, feel entirely free to talk to anyone on the management team
I don't think you have read the entire thread, one of the manager Milad aka "cell" aka "nanocloud" has a very bad rep here at TL, I provided many evidence on his dishonesty. Please look into them, and make your own decision.
At this point it seems like any information you could have expected from a forum 'investigation' has been produced. If nanocloud was not involved, there would be nothing left to discuss. It really bothers me, though, that an anonymous forum poster thinks he can make all sorts of demands for proof about people's real life identities and businesses, and slandering their organizations, while putting no stake of his own personal life or credentials on the table.
"(because a real organization would conduct their business over a skype conversation.)"
Just from the statement above I can tell you don't really know what you're talking about. You are so very wrong. So many real (as you call them) organizations do this.
Also, elevation, who are you to write about this? You have nothing to do with Core. Stop trying to play Batman.
The second ONE SINGLE PRO PLAYER from Core gets swindled, or lied to, or not paid, you don't think he'll be upset? You don't think he'd write a thread about it? You don't think he'd tell his friends not to join Core? Being the new organization in such a volatile industry like eSports, if Core messes up one tiny little bit along the way, it will crash and burn. No need to have others try to do it for us. Let the players decide whether Core is legit or not. Not someone who has nothing to do with it. We can fail all by ourselves thank you very much, we just are determined not to let that happened. If our pro players wanna leave, and leave us with no sponsors, no income, no sustainability, so be it. But they don't. Because we're not screwing anyone over.

You do realize a lot of this contradicts what your executive director claims?
In regards to the company, he claimed he was still filing the paperwork (Article of Organization) to be submitted so even if this is true, the company has not been filed but now it has? Also it wasn't the lack of information from a google search that set an alarm for me, it was searching the state department for a license registered in that name and not finding anything. It's not registered yet? Then why even advertise it until it's finalized. That would be like you advertising "Core Gaming now sponsored by Razer" without having an agreement set in stone and the chance of it not happening.
Neurotic himself said all players have already received pay and gear, go look back to Page 2 I think? Why make this claim if it's not true? I don't need to do research on who did and didn't get paid when one person makes a claim and someone from the team comes in and contradicts that. Plus the fact that one player was added to the roster without even accepting the offer and he says he was even offered help to pay his rent? There's still a lot of explaining to do on this. Also the part with other team managers claiming people from Core are trying to make offers to players over a livestream chat.
The video thing I even said wasn't that important but I still find it to be odd. Neurotic claimed he had to get license agreements to even use the tutorial templates yet you say they're made to be used by everyone? This is my problem and why I made this thread, one person claims one thing but another person says another. There's no consistency in the stories. The only issue with the video and why I brought it up was because an actual business made a video using the same work and I think it's a bit low on your part to use the same work.
This isn't about backstabbing. This is about continuous inconsistencies in information. Even if a lot of this checks out, you guys have a terrible way of communicating information and your business practices are pretty mediocre. Going into twitch chats making offers to plaerys? Offering a player that you (well not you personally but your organization) will pay for his rent even? You can't even blame people for questioning you guys
Sucks that Purdue's SC2 team is going to get mixed in with this mess, met a lot of them at many LANs here in Indiana and they were/are a good group of guys.

ya TizzCore keep ignoring the question about nanocloud, it would make you sound legit, pick and choose what argument you can win and ignores the ones you can't. This cherry picking shows you know for a fact that doesn't matter what you say you can't defend a selif admitted cheater.
I wish we could go back to the time when a scam was considered some deceitful act to steal money from people, not some random kid with too much time luring naive people into joining a team by waving with nonexistent money.
wonder what would happen if we compared nanoclouds ip adress to those of skydie, pea_see, nuparu, tizzcore, et al. ( maybe I missed some but you can see my point )
At this point its fucking sad. Its like beating on a dead horse that wont die. Just give up Nanocloud. Seek help. My guess is that you need it. Do it before something really bad happens to you and jeopardizes your future for real.
And I feel real bad for the Milozucai guy whose name will forever be linked to this Nanocloud scammer trough a google search.

I'm not trying to play Batman, there's a long list of people (and teams even) that severely question your organization, I'm just the one who spoke out about it (And no, a lot of them had their own concerns that came before I even made the post so don't even try pulling the card of "well they saw this thread..."). Myself along with everyone who have these concerns don't care if you succeed or fail, our problem is one person associated with your organization has been proven to have lied about a lot of things and your organizations inconsistency of information. Whether he actually checks out to be who he claims to be is almost irrelevant because the fact of the matter remains numerous people have proven he has lied about numerous things and has even gone as far as trying to tarnish a number of individual's reputations to save himself. You add that to the fact that he just came from a team that was a total scam and he promised to help pay for a player's rent? And said player came from sMi as well and even said it sounded just like the scam that was pulled on that team, you SHOULD understand why we would question this. That person represents your organization so when he's going around using inappropriate methods of speaking to players and making promises that go way beyond what your team claims to even be offering, we should have the right to question that whether you like it or not.
That's why this thread was made. Messaging you wouldn't honestly prove anything because Neurotic claims 1 thing, doesn't entirely check out but you claim another. I never once said "Oh this team is 100% scam, everyone stay away", I just presented a list of information that is a bit sketchy and pointed out inconsistencies in information so we could get answers to them all (most of which you guys still haven't had much of an answer for).

I think we should let this matter go because this thread is going nowhere. It seems that these people from management do not seem to understand basic PR and crisis management, which may be a result of inexperience. No one starts out perfect, you know!
But then, again, we could be wrong about these guys. So, for better or for worse, let's see how this story unfolds. However, seeing what's going on right now, I think Core Gaming's future into a professional realm seems shaky at best.
As for NaNoClouD, he may have gotten away with his inexcusable behavior because it seems that his good IRL friends can't comprehend why the community distrusts him heavily, and you really can't blame them.
Here's to hope that things will only get better from here

No reason for it? No organization (at least the ones who try to appear as professional as yours tries to) would ever do things like go into a twitch chat to make an offer to a player or tell a player that you'll help pay for his rent. They also wouldn't have an individual be apart of their organization that brings so much negative attention because of the some of the things he's done and they wouldn't have so much inconsistency of information.
That's why it's hard to believe your team is legitimate.

You know how easy it is to make a claim especially after everything has been going on with this thread?
Guess what, I received the gear that they promised someone else. They sent it to the wrong person. Prove that didnt happen? You can't. Just like you can't prove you did receive whatever you were promised. Flawed logic once again from another individual.
It's not hard to piece together this random puzzle that honestly shouldnt have even blown up to this matter, but now that it has, you will see alot of people just witch hunt and you're going to have a hell of a time even gaining respect or being recognized by the community.
Might as well just stop the potential lies and just admit the truth.

From the moment I heard Nanocloud was involved with the team, all I've heard from people (mainly other team managers/owners) say were mainly negative things about him and the organization for associating with him. This thread may have made it a bit more out to the public but when it comes to other teams, they didn't have much respect for them from the start.
This is in regards to the organization, not the players

Edit: Also the gear they promised me came today, so i'm pretty sure this isn't a scam.
Yeah? No joke? It really came today?
You know how easy it is to make a claim especially after everything has been going on with this thread?
Guess what, I received the gear that they promised someone else. They sent it to the wrong person. Prove that didnt happen? You can't. Just like you can't prove you did receive whatever you were promised. Flawed logic once again from another individual.
It's not hard to piece together this random puzzle that honestly shouldnt have even blown up to this matter, but now that it has, you will see alot of people just witch hunt and you're going to have a hell of a time even gaining respect or being recognized by the community.

And i'll say the same thing I said earlier, This shit wouldn't have happened in SC1/BW. Reasons like this is why I don't care enough to actually play let alone bother to try and play anymore. Lose all motivation after a few days because of something stupid happening, let alone people dont care about the community anymore or the past players that made the community what it is today. Aside from that, you have the pathetic design team that doesn't really care either but beside that derail.
Once you get a piss poor image from the community, good luck getting back (As you said Elevation), and I'm truly surprised that a moderator hasn't stepped into this thread and just steam rolled peoples flawed logic (mainly the new posting accounts that all of sudden have "a reason" to post and "protect" their potential lie).
when the players said it's legit then it's legit, they have no thing to gain from lying about it, look at it in terms of motives for each party. I believe jonsnow, and wbc when they said they had been paid and received gears.
Which means core gaming is legit but they didn't know about this guy nanocloud who brought in all the players is a fraud. It is not the fault of core gaming.

That's debatable. They claim to perform background checks for all management figures yet a simple background check for Nanocloud (at least in relation to Starcraft) would have brought up the situation we had a few days ago with him forging skype conversations in an attempt to tarnish 2 manager's reputations and then the GM boosting scandal which both issues were proven that he lied. So I do still find it at the fault of Core Gaming for associating with this individual. Either they didn't check and that's just their wrong doing or they did and didn't give a fuck which would show their true character.
You ask for proof that players got gear/paid...players say they got gear/paid and someone claims they made it up. You ask for managers to present themselves and prove legitimacy: managers make accounts to do so and you point out the accounts are new and claim they belong to Nano. You ask for opinions from the inside, and Core Community members post. They get ignored.
Basically every single post from the OP brings up Nanocloud in some form or another. At this point it is 100% clear to me that this thread is some combination of a personal vendetta, a witch hunt, trolling, or just plain drama mongering.
There is no point whatsoever in continuing this conversation since nothing we say seems to matter.
Honestly, I expect better out of the TL community. This is the behavior I would have expected on bnet forums, honestly.
I bid you all good day. I am done with this thread.
The whole core website is a joke. I have a friend that's registered in there. Everyone's a joke there, especially the so called leader neurotic, I hope they get sued and disbanded. They are scams and punishment is a must for a fake "pc community" with the shady guys running this whole operation. Thanks for the info elevation. This Iron guy needs anger management lol

One person confirmed he never got paid and admitted the situation was sketchy. I never said they made it up. I only questioned your manager since he claimed everyone got paid and received their gear already
I also never said the managers were fake people. Other people have but not me. They showed up in the post but didn't really answer the questions being asked, rather they dodged a lot of it.
Yeah, I bring up nanocloud but I bring up a number of things outside of him as well. Again, questions haven't been answered so yes I keep bringing it up to get an explanation. This has nothing to do with a personal vendetta or a witch hunt. Nanocloud already ruined his reputation last week when he was caught forging skype conversations trying to show two team managers making false accusations against Clarity Gaming and then him admitting to being boosted into GM (which is a huge issue considering he was a "coach"). He was then banned off of TL, so why would I make this post to hunt for him if he's already gone? I've made it very clear, there are a large number of people who question the team, I'm just the one who made the post and has continued to post. Questions are being dodged, if you have nothing to hide and everything about the team is legitimate then why is your organization only answering bits and pieces but leaving the rest? And then claiming everything I'm saying is false yet I've posted numerous skype conversations to back up many of the questions we have
I'd say this has gone on enough. Players need to be smart enough to be able to tell of something is a scam or just sounds too good to be true.
Let the team come out like they said they would on September 1st~, and lets go from there. This team has a lot riding on them now being already called out for scamming. If they do scam, don't pay or XZY then we have the right to say "I told you so". But until then give them a chance.
From my point of view, I would not trust this group. I hope the players don't get hurt, and other AM teams.
From a Manager point of view, it is hard to "compete" with teams like theses. There is a small pool of free agents for teams to choose from that have a low cost, then having teams that offer more then they are worth just cripples the other teams offer. Example. Team 1 offers Paid Travel. Team 2 offers $100 Month + Gear + Travel. Every player would go Team 2, but then the question is does Team 2 live up to what they said.

I just want to clarify one thing. Ironsights is infact nanocloud, if you look at their website he has a picture of the supposed Milad with the ironsights nickname. And hey look at that, the same ironsights ferociously defending the team and nano's reputation on forums.... what a coincidence. Its funny how nano always says "he is done with this thread" but believe me, he cares too much about his reputation to not let a single comment in this thread get past him, and he will comment again.
I have a couple of friends on Core gaming, and I really wish you guys the best of luck. But if you want to take a word of advice and actually flourish in the sc2 community, a wise decision would be getting rid of nanocloud/milad/ironsights. You can just see how much drama he has brought on you guys.

I agree with this. Although this wasn't a direct call out of "Oh, this team is a scam", it was based on a lot of information that this team seemed really sketchy and the possibility of it being a scam could exist. That last paragraph is so true though.
OT - I'm done posting, we'll wait and see how this team unfolds
When the people involved have used lies and deceit in the past, and have started anew by changing their identity, they have lost their integrity. Words alone cannot confirm the legitimacy of this team, and trust cannot be regained through more words. PMing people and furiously defending yourself while ignoring the real questions at hand, then announcing an announcement while clearly the project has already been set in motion... you're just digging your own grave. With this much inconsistency, only time will tell if Core Gaming plans to be a respectful organization within esports.

Just a friend =) Don't like core, heard lots of bad stuff about them and I mean alot. Their management is crap and so is thier organization and on top of that the leader rages and bm's alot. They shouldn't even be allowed in the pc gaming scene.
Days is not a part of Core. They only offered him money, gear, and help with his rent. They told him that they wouldn't be able to do any of that until November though. After not agreeing to this, they still put him up on their site and on their liquipedia page. I was also approached by one of the players on Core who mentioned it to me and the only reason I can think of for them to do that is to start crap/drama with me.
Days is still part of sMi and is not associated with Core. The people who left sMi, after joining in the unfortunate events that took place with Anderson, and joined Core are: JonSnow, Sonic, Virium, NanoClouD (or whatever it is he's going by now).
Edit: The conversation that is quoted on here from Days and Rei is Days being upset that they did what they did without him giving them consent.
I'm not a pro gamer (I'm barely an amateur SC2 watcher); I just wanted to say: this was GREAT journalism. Seriously - kudos to the original poster (elevation), that is how investigative journalism is supposed to look.
From an outsider's POV, not knowing any of the people involved, it seems the easier explanation for nanocloud isn't that he impersonated this Milad guy (especially given that several people in this thread claim to have met him in real life), but rather that nanocloud is indeed Milad, and that Milad is a compulsive liar/exaggerator in many areas of his life both inside and outside of sc2. If these threads show him to repeatedly to lie, exaggerate, and weasel his way in the sc2 community, it seems reasonable to believe that sc2 isn't the only area of his life where he engages in such behavior. We know he goes to Purdue and was involved in a few clubs, but he could easily lie about his GPA, owning a bunch of companies, being this insanely rich guy, etc.

QFT, although the irony of this statement is incredible.
This is how I see it so far, and I'm coming from a very neutral point of view.
1. Justin Baker (aka Neurotic), a prominent figure in the Aeon of Storms community (and potentially rich?), decided to start a gaming team
2. He enlisted the help of some Aeon of Storms players for his management team: - Tizz (Jules Hill) (of some "Radioactizz Productions", probably just his own venture, serious or not), who made the promotional video using some sort of template - Gladiator, founder and leader of Clan |AoS| (in Aeon of Storms) - Ironsights and ThanatoZ, a couple Aeon of Storms players
3. Their first and primary sponsor is one called FundSponge, LLC, whose president Jason TenBarge (aka peaSea) went to Purdue and knew a Milad (aka NanoClouD) from the school's StarCraft club. NanoClouD's YouTube channel is here. Although it would not be difficult to create a YouTube channel ("TheSolarhorizon") and Facebook profile ("solarhorizon") that matches interests (Project HEART, Viva La Dirt League, etc.), even going back a year, I am doubtful someone would have had this planned out for a year and not taken better care of his reputation in the present (if he were in this ordeal to scam somebody).
4. Although there's still no hard evidence that NanoClouD is this Milad person, it is not beyond reason that one can be both ambitious IRL (double major, extracurriculars) and enjoy playing SC2 in one's free time. There are tons of people out there who can maintain Masters level of play with zero practice, and it becomes even easier if one were to maphack or cheese all day (not accusing NanoClouD, just saying).
5. NanoClouD, who has publicly admitted that he helps boost other players' accounts, has irked some of the users here for integrity reasons. He failed in copying and pasting a Skype conversation in text and/or purposely modified the order in which the messages appeared to create a point (source). I would disagree with eLeVaTioN and say that it is possible to have multiple messages with the same timestamp, as long as the messages were indeed typed within a second of each other. You can test this out yourself in Skype by spamming some messages. From my point of view, I am doubtful that he forged the Skype conversations because it seems like too much work for too little reward (of course I would not put it past him). It seems that he has a personal vendetta against other teams (who he may have been involved with in the past) who vice versa have a personal vendetta against NanoClouD as well, so it's hard to gauge the situation when both sides appear biased.
6. Looking outside the box, there's a slim possibility someone is posing as this NanoClouD person and trolling everyone.
7. I suspect a lot of the anonymous people attacking NanoClouD may be involved with the teams that have a personal vendetta against him (LYGF, SCA?), and they are enjoying it very much when others join in and gang up on him without taking into account both sides. They want to ruin his reputation enough that the Core Gaming management feel it's necessary to cut him loose from involvement with the new team, and they will likely continue to sabotage him in any future endeavors involving SC2. Again, I'm not taking any sides, this is just how I perceive it. One of the persons here attacking him (Rickyvalle21) appears to be a maphacker and a ClanEX member (of Combat-Ex fame) who probably enjoys the misery of others.
There's a lot more I can post from some simple research, but I think I just realized I spent too much time on this. Also, orangeorange could be right.

This was the line of reasoning he used when he posted them, and makes no sense. Considering all the time he put into posting in that thread from the start and how much he had invested in it, spending a few minutes editing some skype logs to confuse readers even more is a no-brainer. The much more unlikely scenario here is that everyone who has stepped forward with information and stories which shed a negative light on nano are all criticizing an innocent player who has been seriously mischaracterized by his fellow players and former peers.
It also doesn't help that the people who defend him seem to be mostly if not entirely newish accounts with very low post counts. I have a pretty low post count myself compared to some of course, but there is a distinct lack of long time TL vets vouching for him or defending his "side" of the story. His name change between teams is questionable as well, what sort of player won't even defend his own name?
Core is taking a bold step moving forward with him involved. They must be confident that it's the right thing to do for the team. Here's hoping you're right guys.

I have known neurotic for a few months, I am not one of his clan members. Neurotic is a pretty decent guy. But he is a shark. He doesn't really care about the community he cares about owning the community. He Started with the arcade game AOS. He meet some resistance with a few trolls i included. Then decided to rip our AOS community apart. Taking a decent sized player base from the AOS Mumble Server. He did not restrict his players in core gaming from coming back on to mumble for a while. Now he is actively pressuring his members to boycott the Mumble server for his own Team Speak server. And he is pressuring other AOS clans to boycott playing on the Mumble Server. The Mumble server is where we talk directly with the game creator and play private AOS games and discuss balance.
I would Welcome Neurotic into you community but just be aware of him. Some people accuse him of shady acts. Like rigging tourneys in favor for his own clan, Allowing teams to play then suddenly DQ them for no apparent reason after he gave them the ok to play. Etc.. But i dont really buy into it
But in the end i think he is a pretty good guy, his biggest problem he doesn't know how to handle the internet, trolls etc.. and he takes it all personally and gets upset. I remember when a few members of his clan quit and they were the better AOS players in his clan and he freaked out and was just really upset. i look forward to see how far this clan can go would be neat if they made it tbh

That demand is pretty ridiculous lol.
Core is just a jump start group trying to grow them selves. If the clan owner wants to give a little cash here and there i dont see the problem. All he is doing is recruiting no name grand master players right?
I dont support core but id still like to see them succeed. The owner kinda hates me quite a lot cause i dont get along with one of his management people

Also, Bank records are not for internets...
Personal issues aside, Id like to see the slander of core put to an end
also all of you guys are fat and ugly. especially you quidditch.
to the rest of the thread. why don't you just wait until his public announcement on sept 1st, as he stated he would. grab yo popcorn and get ready for whatever. it'll be interdasating.
Just wait for the guy to make his announcement and let things play out before you guys get your pitchforks out. It's crazy that we're jumping on top of people before things are even set in motion.
On a positive note...gl to Core gaming hopefully you guys can show the community to not be so skeptical all the damn time.
The OP should really get a tl;dr in there. Not that I don't want to read 10 pages of accusations but more like: This is what is going on, this is the statement of core, this is the statement of the accuser, so the reader can judge easier than just going through a swamp of back and forth Oo.
I dont hate anyone or anything about Core. I don't know anything about nor do I honestly care. I'm coming from a legal perspective and coming from someone who has spent 15+ years in this community since SC1 back in 98 moving onward.
So if you really want to accuse me of having a personal vendetta against someone I know nothing about, be my guest, its your entitlement, but I truly don't give a shit about anything or anyone involved, however when it affects the community in a negative manner I will care about it because I did spend 15+ years being involved in this community through its ups and downs.
And bills can be displayed on the internet through redacting / censoring and there is no issues, so you can't say you cant or its not meant for it. I've done it on numerous occasions and do it frequently today for professional work.
I have asked [Core] Neurotic in two separate posts if [Core] Cell is in fact Milad, the Purdue student and humanitarian entrepreneur. [Core] Neurotic has not answered my question yet.
I have also sent an inquiry to Mr. on Facebook informing him that his likeness is being used by a management team member of Core Pro Gaming. Mr.has not yet responded; if he does, I will post the response here as a screenshot.
edit: [Core] Neurotic has claimed that [Core] Cell is indeed Milad.

Even if that actually checks out to be him (it would still be really damn surprising), it doesn't change much. It doesn't excuse him from the compulsive lying he's done in this community and the attempted tries of screwing over the reputations of others that have already been proven. As long as he's still associated with the team, not many people are going to take them seriously or have much respect for them regardless of whether they turn out to be a legitimate team or not.
It also doesn't excuse the other complaints listed above regarding a player being offered support to pay his rent and even explaining it seemed sketchy, managers going into livestream chats trying to steal players and the various other inconsistencies of stories between management individuals. If it's a legit team, then they need to understand how to properly conduct their business because having that much inconsistency makes them look like a sketchy organization which is why this thread was made.
Confirmed: Nanocloud is an extraordinary person. [Core] Virium: i'm tired of all the hate core is getting from people in the tl community no doubt you are helping the hate just leave core alone please if we are getting scammed dont you think we as players would say something? seriously.. tl community needs to freaken chill out and leave us alone You: well idk nanocloud [Core] Virium: so why would you believe everything you read about in a thread when you dont know me, nanocloud, or core [Core] Virium: it just upsets me that a few trolls in community take it upon themselves to spread garbage and random people believe it [Core] Virium: also i'm pretty sure elevation the guy spreading the bm is part of OG just please leave us alone, all the players, management, we just want to have fun playing sc2. I'm tired from all this hate based on frivolous !@#$. You: its seemse fishy [Core] Virium: i've known nanocloud since team sca, smi, and now core. Why would i keep joining a team if i didnt trust nanocloud and if he didnt prove his trust You: no clue [Core] Virium: if it seems fishy, then how about you not read the hate and wait until our official annoucement? not a single player on the team has complained we are having the time of our lives but apparently some elevation guy takes it upon himself to say we are being scammed? thanks mom.. but I'm quite confident I know what i'm doing and i'm pretty sure everyone else on the team is adult enough to know whats going on i know elevation isnt doing this to help us he is doing it becuase he hates nanocloud probably because nanocloud seems unbelieable in the re al world.. tell elevation to go get a job and google "extrodinary people" there are many nanocloudisk people in the real world Last Message 8:07 PM
The troll in the post prev. to this one is kinda funny. Even has Ethopia as his region on TL, hah.
In all seriousness, I haven't followed sMi or this from the beginning and feel like I can't be one to judge either scenario 100% seriously. I've still read topics regarding both, and finding out how shady the deal w/sMi was really makes me anxious about new teams and new payouts in SC2. There's been a crapton of fraudulencies (if that's a word) and lack of payment going around. If you aren't in the loop of things as of lately, you really should be.
Despite any legitimacy behind this new "Core Gaming" team/clan/whatever the hell, it's really not looking in favor of them. Just from a 3rd-person perspective, I'd advise any person to avoid even the slightest disturbances that are cropping up. If you manage to be successful, congrats to you (directed at Neurotic/Cell/Nano/whoever else involved).
I just know that I wouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole wearing a bomb suit made to withstand nuke blasts. If you're capable of success, it'll happen regardless. Otherwise, you've already fallen apart and I don't expect this to last long.
It'd be nice to see some attorneys involved in this. I feel like this is starting to become a problem where people need to get sued. (slander vs. fraud, look dem things up broski)
Why do we have drama/scam threads over the same guy/involving the same people (scammers and whistleblowers all the same) every 5 days ? Seriously. Learn not to mop your floor in public for a while and deal with things privately.
...and stop making fuss on your team when it doesn't even exist yet. You should not have a paid team "sponsored" by shady/random societies who belong to the team managers lol. Life expectancy of these have always been 3/6months max.
Do not advertise this before getting results and being a long term team. It is not being "esportssssssssss", it is trying to get a society starting up and have it known through you showing "care" and dedication, while in fact, you do not. And it shows.
Neurotic is manipulative and I hear alot of stories from friends in core about how he dosn't keep his promise after you join his website... And people say he's really rude when there's a problem. He's just some nerdy dude that probably gets his money from his parents. I simply think core has bad agendas and are to try hard. I really hope what I heard about neurotic isn't true but hearing it from a few different people I don't think they'd be lying about how he handles the clan... He apparently has really bad management skills

I have learned something new today :D
no I never said this, stop spreading lies about me. The skype convo could be proven as fake, so drop it. Plus: this is not the right thread
You are proceeding with Milad as part of your staff after knowing all the facts the community have given to you, there is nothing else we can help you with.
If something he does ends up being a fucked up situational issue, we'll clean it up and force him out. We have an internal community as well, not just 5 execs :p
And Core is a great community. We have an internal community where people hang out and we enjoy ourselves. The pro players are no different, they're welcome and always open to talk and be a member of the community. If we find someone a huge detriment and said person is intentionally destroying the community, they will be removed.
The slander about Neurotic (a la Justin Baker I believe) is unneeded by people from other places. He's an amazing person and he knows what his agenda to help our agenda is, like he helped Aeon of Storms. People claim he destroys things (a la "Muggle" and his comment about the Aeon of Storms community destruction) but he doesn't. He put a lot of money and time into this and I'll as a person hope he continues on his venture and I also hope you guys agree.
If you believe I'm droning this out because I was paid or whatever, I'm not. I've been in the community since it was building and I don't regret it. He pieced a new, less troll community for a smaller game that people enjoyed into a bigger, more successful one. And if my IP matches his, you can permaban me forever + 1 (It won't. I'm a completely unique person in my own house.)
I like what you guys do on Team Liquid but there's no need to bring distraught, aggressive drama and assaults onto the community. If you don't feel we're going in the right direction, you can suggest it to us, but you do not need to consistently assault the community.
Have a good day, and I hope that you guys can understand where I'm coming from.

admitting to boosting people's account is not consider fucked up situation for core gaming?
It is, but it's not rare. People do it quite often. Really often.
Nano just got caught for it, like a lot of people do. We don't call out those others unless they're recognizable... lol
Just because a lot of people do it and they don't get caught it's ok? Where is the fairness? what about the people who are grinding hard trying to achieve GM themselves but top 200 are filled with boosted accounts and no spots for them.
No, not what I meant. I'm saying you call him out because he was caught, even though there are others that do it as well. Nano just got notorious because of it.
It's like the LoL Situation: The Challenger situation is quite interesting in NA because WildTurtle keeps adding new accounts into the freaking Challenger tier lol
So you also think upholding the idea of fair play and integrity is the business model of a legit starcraft team then? If so how can you keep nanocloud as part of your management while knowing he does not value fair play and have no integrity? Are you telling me Core gaming does not endorses boosting, but does not care about his lack of integrity neither, as long as nanocloud does no wrong you would have him on your staff?
[Core] Neurotic this post is for you to answer.
Hey Rei - I've just been informed about who you are and your history with this community. Let me remind you that you are the "Assistant Manager and Coach" of sMi , a team fraught with recent fraud and scandal. You are literally the last person on Earth who should be questioning any team's integrity, let alone my own and my organization.
This is like Bernie Madoff lecturing me on my company's fiscal integrity.. Seriously, it's like you just crashed your car into a fire hydrant and now you're running over to me to give me a driving lesson.

Alright so he at least didn't steal the identity of another person, surprising but ok he's isn't that low of a human being. However that still doesn't excuse him from his compulsive lying within the community. Forging skype conversations trying to invoke two team managers making false accusations against a well known and respected organization and then him admitting to being boosted into GM while using that status to get on teams and be a "coach" is still a big issue for many people.
But regardless in regards to the team, there are still a lot of questions that stem from things other than Nano.
EDIT: I also still fault him for the reasons why people thought he stole someone's identity. Next time don't send a PM saying you did, sarcasm or not. When people are actually questioning you in such a matter, making jokes about it isn't going to help.
Seriously if you are legit you don't have to contest with any rumors or BS. Just play your game and let it speak and don't even worry about people throwing around false accusations because everything will clear itself up when you show you are a legit team and start getting out in the community and just ignoring the people that would like to throw out either False accusations or speculations.....
P.S. Please stop posting bs like this its not good for eSports for your reputation or for the ones that you accuse.........

2. [Core] Cell is indeed Milad, the Purdue student and humanitarian entrepreneur as [Core] Cell himself as well as [Core] Neurotic both stated.
As for the trust deficit this outfit has with members of the community, no that has not been resolved yet. They are hoping to resolve it September 1st.

This elevation guy doesnt rest. First he says cell isn't a real person, then it turns out cell is a real person... and apparently a good person... now he says he is a compulsive liar... something doesnt add up mr. elevation.
Who are you? It seems like you have a personal vendetta with this nanocloud/cell or w/e his name is. What skype conversations did he forge???? I'm confused on what you are talking about.. i read this thread and didnt find any forged skype conversations. Can someone post them? It seems like elevation is quite upset about the skype logs so I want to see if he actually has grounds on calling nanocloud a compulsive liar about tema managers.
Thanks for inspiring me to create a tl account, for silver league players this was first time I found so much drama!
Hes the lead farmer in the pitchfork parade! Squeel like a pig boy!
I dunno, I wouldn't trust a previously banned user who creates an account precisely for the sole purpose of undermining the credibility of people who are criticizing a shady-looking organization.
he was previously banned? hahahah! I had no idea.
Not the only one...

Also quite a few 3-5 post users from inactive accounts in here criticizing OP. Not pointing any fingers, some are likely legit, but it's something you inevitably see in threads which seek to expose situations where there is something someone wants to hide.

When I brought up the post count earlier in the thread, this is kind of what I was trying to call attention to, but I got warned.
I know elevation is not a PBU. Also i say this thread is not even on topic anymore Core did say a lot of what was going on the one thing that most of us agree on is that almost no one thinks Nanocloud should have a chance in e-sports again(When i say that i mean mostly managers of teams). To those who were wondering why so many people that dont like Nanocloud Read the team smi get scammed chat around page 10 or so im not 100 percent sure. He did forge skype logs because none of the time stamps made sense really. i just dont think Nanocloud should be allowed on a team.

As an undergrad, I had a roommate (I'll call him crazy_roommate) like that... he once tried to steal another roommate's (victim_roommate) debit card and take money out of his account with it-- he got the pin wrong 4 or 5 times or whatever, and the machine kept the card in response, so the bank phoned victim_roommate to alert him. When crazy_roommate was confronted about it, he made up this bizarre, outlandish story about how he thought that victim_roommate lost his card, so to help him out, he dutifully took it to an ATM and purposely got the number wrong so he could "send it back to the bank".

It's quite believable since he told me he graduated Yale with a 4.0, had a smurf at the very top of the NA ladder, and is exceedingly rich.

NanoClouD just seems like an attention whore at this point and if it's indeed him spewing multiple different lies to different people, I think that it's his way of "trolling" and garnering more discussion about him.

[/QUOTE]
Thanks for inspiring me to create a tl account, for silver league players this was first time I found so much drama![/QUOTE] The best part of this thread is Nanocloud creating two alts in which he pretends to be a new user. In this one, quite ironically, he even openly ridicules the OP's suggestion that "Nanocloud" is a compulsive liar. In his second new account, he actually directly responds to his first new account by posting the skype logs in question.[/QUOTE]
Neurotic's gone above and beyond to answer questions and the org doesn't go live til Sept 1st, so hold all judgements until then. But if Nano really did go so far as making alts on the forums just to troll, is this really the kind of person you want to be part of your organization?

Well they'll only have to pay just Nanocloud, but then they get all of his other personalities to work for the organization too! Buy one get three free sale!

Neurotic lied when he said all players were paid and received gear already. Days also claimed they told him they wanted to help him out with rent and other things, very suspicious.
As I stated on page 10 (I believe it was 10), Days is not a player for Core Gaming. What he was saying was that they offered him those things and he never gave them a "Yes", yet they put up his name on their Liquipedia page and on their site roster.

You are proceeding with Milad as part of your staff after knowing all the facts the community have given to you, there is nothing else we can help you with. [/QUOTE] If something he does ends up being a fucked up situational issue, we'll clean it up and force him out.
-Nuparu, Community Member of Core Gaming and Completely Addicted League of Legends Player [/QUOTE] admitting to boosting people's account is not consider fucked up situation for core gaming? [/QUOTE]
It is, but it's not rare. People do it quite often. Really often.
Nano just got caught for it, like a lot of people do. We don't call out those others unless they're recognizable... lol [/QUOTE] Just because a lot of people do it and they don't get caught it's ok? Where is the fairness? what about the people who are grinding hard trying to achieve GM themselves but top 200 are filled with boosted accounts and no spots for them. [/QUOTE]
No, not what I meant. I'm saying you call him out because he was caught, even though there are others that do it as well. Nano just got notorious because of it.
It's like the LoL Situation: The Challenger situation is quite interesting in NA because WildTurtle keeps adding new accounts into the freaking Challenger tier lol[/QUOTE]
[/QUOTE]
Seriously, it's like you just crashed your car into a fire hydrant and now you're running over to me to give me a driving lesson.[/QUOTE]
Not sure if this is appropriate now but in the smi thread there was a comment by nanocloud saying what is the point of streaming with the webcam on if you don't know what he actually looks like, since it can be anyone. since we have a "image" of him, he can prove he plays at a gm level now right? just saying.
Edit: also apparently he did stream before, so that can also solve the identity crisis going on. it can prove a lot of things.
For now, this thread has run its course and no one as added much in a while. We can all wait for Core's official announcement and then reassess the situation.
