R1CH is the only one I'd trust to find least shady $15-20/month botnet and he is the one community would trust with results, not me. Didn't take precautions at all, except for the very basic on-off switches that a soccer mom can press. I actually noticed a few holes halfway through R1CH tests, but figured I'll let them slide, since my original point was about illiterate people like Destiny. Holy shit you're fucking delusional.

And you're not adding anything useful to the thread. Please stop. @Inori: What is your explanation for the recent attacks if it's not the 20/month botnets?

I don't understand, then why does this kind of activity happen on a daily basis to streamers in every community? If people are rich enough out there to donate hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars to their favorite streamers, I'm sure there's people willing to spend equal amounts to fuck with them.

Most of it is people with bad networks / ISPs / router / router configurations. Claiming its a DDoS is just something the community does now because its become such a common term.

Oh, haha, I don't have any of that, I'm just curious and I find this thread amusing. But I did read about this so called "attacks". So are you saying Destiny was never attacked?

Did I read it wrong? Wasn't the challenge to take Inori network down? Because if it is, and his network is still up, then he is winning the bet. I'm not talking about this DDoS/DoS stuff, as I hold no knowledge on the subject. All I'm saying is that no one has taken down Inori's network, which was the challenge.

It might not be a serious problem to you, but what about all of the content you consume (and probably adblock simultaneously) and the people who produce it who've been involved in DDoS attacks? This list includes the Live on 3 show, SotG, Day9, me, Stephano, countless other streamers/tournaments... To have someone come onto a thread and go "sry this problem isn't real ROFL i have experienc"...do you have any fucking idea how aggravating and insulting that is?
