Hello !
This is something that I have noticed for a very long time. Whenever I play, I feel like all the blood in my body goes up in my brain, thus living the rest of my body cold !
Guys, here is the problem :
- When I play, I m too hot. So I can't play with a jacket or anything. I would play naked but somehow it doesn't feel right.
- It leaves me with just a shirt. But then, I have a freaking runny nose ! It's very annoying, especially if the game goes into the late game, because ideally I would like to clean it (breathing is essential to cognitive functions), but I just can't in the middle of a game. As a result, I think that physiological problem is keeping me from improving and getting out of my mediocre league.
Do you guys have the same issue ?
Poll: Do you have runny nose when you play ?No, my body temperature doesn't seem to change when I play (31) 35% Yes, no matter what, even in summer, if I play it happens (29) 33% No, but I am playing with some clothes on me (16) 18% No, I already tried to play naked and nothing happens (9) 10% Other (please precise) (3) 3% 88 total votes Your vote: Do you have runny nose when you play ? I guess this is like a weird showing of ladder anxiety, but....
I've never had those symptoms, even when the ladder has matched me up with a ZvZ with a guy who had lingbane wars with me for the 5th time in a row and we were both 2-2. I won.(/brag)

It's very disturbing thinking that the people I play against and talk to are just sitting there naked o_o

This happens to me. My hands turn really cold every time i ladder. I guess i put everything into it :-D

Whenever I play any game where I'm smashing the keyboard and focusing over a longer period of time, I get cold hands, feet and nose.
It's also the reason why a lot of pro gamers have the "hand warmer things" you see in the GSL, because it happens to some of them aswell, and if you have cold hands, you're just not as fast.

I get extremely cold when i play sc. It has gotten to the point where i just went out and got a small electric heater for my room. Problem solved!

I have runny nose sometimes, and my body gets warmer if I play for a long period of time. I think I have these symptoms when I am in a stressful situations during 1v1 games. But when I play 2v2 games where I am more relaxed, I don't have these symptoms. O.o

I get cold and shiver a lot, especially after awesome games. Might just be the adrenaline. But nope, I don't get a runny nose.
|
i have a running nose, yes..but when i'm playing, i keep my head up, so it dosne't harass me too mutch. Between games u can clean it, and if u have no other choice, simply pause the game.
And my hands are always cold while i'm playing, even if the room is hot. Sometimes, i suprise my parents with my cold hands, and they are so shocked than :D

Always something to be on the lookout for when dealing with a salesman. If they have extremely cold hands, they're nervous, which usually means they are hiding something.

I tend to get very cold if im in a game i find stressful, so.. very cold

I sweat under my armpits like a pig,to be precise i kinda sweat cold water (odorless lol).My nose is ok.

I get a little shaky when I play strong players or players I have had BM with before.

Something similar happens to me, but I don't believe its because of blood flow to my brain. When I play a long game, or a really intense game, or just a few games directly after one another, my eyes will water like crazy. I don't notice it while I'm playing, but as soon as I get out of the game and look at the score screen, or get up to get something to drink/bathroom, my eyes will just start to water, almost as if I was crying. So in turn with my eyes watering, my nose sometimes runs. As for cold hands, don't have that problem, unless its actually cold in my house, which can't really be helped since my computer is behind like 50 walls and really far away from my fireplace.

This happens to me too when I play in important tournaments matches in sc2. My hands get cold.

I guess everything will be normal, if you play a lot. Body won't be out of equilibrium 5 hours a day, just because brain is excited about something :D.

I think almost everyone gets cold hands while playing, especially while the first games. I remember when Bisu was at the bnet attack, playing vs savior and complaining the whole game about cold hands, so even the pros have such problems
