Would it be a more sensible approach if there was simply a guns cabinet at a specific location that the specific authorised teachers could access if one of these situations breaks out? That way there are guns on campus but they're out of the way except when actually needed, and there's less chance of a stressed teacher blowing away thug life Billy for backtalking one time too many. Nope, for the same reason that some gun owners prefer only concealed/ open carry instead of storing their guns away in a safe at home: If there's an immediate threat, then they need instant access. Teachers can't leave their students in an emergency to go run down the hall for a gun.

Link: http://docs.house.gov/meetings/ig/ig00/20180205/106838/hmtg-115-ig00-20180205-sd002.pdf I was honestly expecting more of a war of waffling. Nunes' memo was intentionally vague and nitpicky, and I thought the Democrat's memo would be along the same vein. Just skimming through, though, the first several pages outright say Nunes was flat-out lying on several points. The DOJ did not pay any money for the dossier. The DOJ did tell the court why Steele was terminated as a source, and did disclose his political motivation. The dossier was received by the FBI 7 weeks after the Page investigation began (though before the initial FISA application). The rest of it kind of does just argue on points that no one else will ever be privy too. Edit: All-in-all, nothing really new except confirmation of what was known. Nunes is a buffoon and this was an exercise in turning a legal court into a court of opinion.

If this had come out while people still cared it would have destroyed their narrative. Now the Republicans can just quietly nod and ignore it.

Oh it'll definitely happen, despite the fact that most school shooters are white, not black. Not exactly the same, but iirc Philando Castile worked as a teacher and school cafeteria worker, legally possessed a gun, and was shot anyway for being black (although that was in his car and not in the school he worked at).

It was polite of The Observer to leave out the room nodding in agreement The cake topper is the keynote at that event was none other than Judge Jeanine. I honestly don't know which I find more pathetic, the roster of conservatives that lets someone like Judge Jeanine keynote a Reagan dinner or the roster of Democrats that can't beat them.
