Well, that's over.
Back to investigating the guy that loves Putin and asked him to hack his political opponent and fired the FBI Director for investigating it.
I'm very surprised that a memo written by Nunes and propagated by people like this (and Russian bots) turned out to be less than copacetic.

I just wanna see the damn memo. And I want the FBI to clarify what is or is not accurate about it.

It's a bit of a catch 22 because the information is classified

Those are things we historically should have (less so on the loan-statements, but in Trump's case, with massive foreign loans, they're easily called for).

They had their shot to be cooperative with oversight committees. Now, it’s time to release the summary memo and primary source documents supporting it.
|
So we should declassify information every time a house member decides that they want to write a memo about it and threaten to release it over the objection of the DOJ, FBI and the other half of the committee? Because that might not be that fun for conservatives if the Democrats take the House in 2018. But hey, open up Pandora's box if you think it will work out. I hear hope is at the bottom.

it’s funny that you ask for the source material backing it up as if that has any possibility.
Hey guys i’ve got PROOF that Danglars is an actual robot. he’ll say it’s not true but you can’t believe him because that’s exactly what a robot would say. Check. Mate.
yea that’s just not a sane persons method of declassifying data. and people are out there eating this shit up. grossly incompetent. it’s offensive to our collective intelligence that this argument actually has traction.
if nunes had the stones to just have it leaked at the start before using it as this absurd tool to further discredit the agency on nothing but his own word, which lacked credibility before the charade, i’d give it a fair read. but to instead use this batshit nonsense as a means to declassify it and rally up a base, compromised clearly of total fools, is not inspiring.

And for a SOTU... That was a fantastic speech -- one that is going to haunt democrats. No other republican would have had the balls to get up there and unapologetically dismantle one anti-American democrat position after another and then steal their lunch money on some easy bipartisan issues. The only anti American thing in politics is the republican party that has literally sold our country out to russia, and the voter base like you that are complicit with it or even cheer it on. I'm always confused by this idea that calling half of all Americans "traitor liberal communist baby-murdering scum" is not seen as anti-American. My suspicion is that culture war attacks tend to be based on projection, finding your own insecurities conveniently manifested in your enemies. Look at the rightist posters on here. Thinking the other side is evil is pretty solidly American these days. Seems like they ought to lose the 'U' in 'USA' if things don't drastically swing back in the other direction post-Trump. I think the left/right divisions are going to get deeper and nastier all the way through Trump's reign. Honestly, a good catchy description of the left-vs-right divide could be: The right loves America, but hates Americans The left hates America, but loves Americans. It's rather oversimplified and sentimental, but there is a grain of truth in it.
Yeah I can see that. I quite like it, flaws accepted.

Kind of crazy that one of those spots has been open since 2005.

How are you still defending the party that sold America out to the russians?

Be raised republican --> natural psychology flaws that make people see their parents as particularly good or respectable people --> come to view religion/politics as a part of family identity and thus your own identity --> defend til death.

Just don't pay attention to the flashing neon sign that the latest handing of sanctions represents.

As usual, I'm unclear what the allegation is. The current FBI director, Christopher Wray (a Trump appointee, who I assume had nothing to do with either 2016 FISA warrants or the email investigation) apparently opposes releasing the memo because it "contains inaccurate information and paints a false narrative."
Is Wray one of the suspected wrongdoers? Or is the tweet you just shared way, way off base?

It took the speaker of the house calling them to heel some 4 months after the cycles of stonewalling to get the promises and the ball rolling. They can go fuck themselves at this point.

You didn't even address his question lol

You didn't even address his question lol It's always fun when someone can prod Dangles into dropping the pretense of a principled inquiry while revealing the clearly partisan animus beneath. When asked earlier why he thinks the whole of the FBI is tainted, he insisted that wasn't what he was arguing for. Now it's quite obvious that it is, angry pejorative and all.

Well your people did try to shoot up a pizzaria to free non existant child hostages. If you had paid any attention to the actual happenings and not kept your nose in fox breitbart and zerohedge, you would see that republicans are very literally selling America out to the russians in front of everyones faces, it's literally not a conspiracy theory.
