A quick google sadly didn't deliver any statistics for copenhagen, so if someone else can find those, we can compare. The Detroit statistics are better than, for example, San Salvador. I don't know where i would find similar statistics for actual war zones, but would very much like to see the comparison here. Basing judgements on statistics is way better than anecdotal evidence in my opinion. | ||

Google says 583,525 people lived in the Municipal areas 2015 (likely more like 700 000 based on wiki page). For a worst case murder rate of 9,6 if all Denmark's murders happened in that area instead of evenly spread out. Spread out it would take Denmark's population of 5,683 million and average it to something like 1 per 100 k. So Copenhagen is likely between 1 and 10 somewhere. :p (Could even be lower than 1 but seems unlikely.) Comparing with Denmark in general isn't a great idea since they are among the countries with lowest crime rates in the world. I don't think so; but it also depends hwere in chicago; certain neighborhoods are far more dangerous than others. In general, baltimore has the worst rates in the US iirc. | ||
