It is shocking that the thing I used to love/mock about C&C is now being used as propaganda by one of the US’s most unpopular presidents.

It is nice in Germany. Right-wing people from other countries seem to have this idea that there are raving mobs of arab rapist terrorists everywhere. They are wrong. Because people eat up the posts of "I'm scared of brown people" folk a la six strings without engaging with the fact that many Germans have no idea where this wild fear of immigration comes from. It is just like I think it is fine in Sweden but my mother is worried in some areas. These areas are likely ~100 times safer than the US ghettos currently existing. probably more like 10x safer; as a guess based on my knowledge of the relevant stats. Depends on what you compare. Detroit is barely safer than some countries which are currently engaging in open civil war, so there is that. I mean, we wouldn't want to set the bar for "safety" too high after all. Also, if we can just strawman arguments we don't really have to properly engage in an honest discussion and can instead go "hurrr shitty white racists". Have you ever been to Detroit, and if not, do you think it'd make sense for me to comment on the safety of Copenhagen based purely on third-person data that mostly references the infamous ghetto list? Detroit has parts that are dangerous, that much is true, but "open civil war" hyperbole is simply unfounded. I say this as the son of the guy who signs off on literally every dead body found in Wayne County.
If you are using actual statistics to make a comment on the safety of "x" city, that is probably the best way to do that.
Detroit has a homicide rate of 43.6 and a violent crime rate of 1.749 per 100000 inhabitants. A quick google sadly didn't deliver any statistics for copenhagen, so if someone else can find those, we can compare.
The Detroit statistics are better than, for example, San Salvador. I don't know where i would find similar statistics for actual war zones, but would very much like to see the comparison here.
Basing judgements on statistics is way better than anecdotal evidence in my opinion.

Trump retweeted a Fox Story that cited "unnamed classified sources". Not sure what to make of that. This is the tweet he retweeted :

Trump's inability to realize that it is he who is now in charge of all the crap that goes wrong is actually quite impressive. I think he believes himself to still be on the campaign trail in a lot of ways.

That seems like a weird thing for the president who that’s leaks to retweet.

Not gonna lie, for about a minute I saw the guy in the ushanka as some odd fish puppet monster with clothes.
We talk a lot about NK's nukes, but their anti-ship missiles frighten me as well. They're gonna make using carriers in the area a real dangerous proposition.

Worst possible rate for Copenhagen can quickly be calculated based on 56 murders in Denmark 2015. Google says 583,525 people lived in the Municipal areas 2015 (likely more like 700 000 based on wiki page). For a worst case murder rate of 9,6 if all Denmark's murders happened in that area instead of evenly spread out. Spread out it would take Denmark's population of 5,683 million and average it to something like 1 per 100 k.
So Copenhagen is likely between 1 and 10 somewhere. :p (Could even be lower than 1 but seems unlikely.)
Comparing with Denmark in general isn't a great idea since they are among the countries with lowest crime rates in the world. Especially murders. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate

Apparently there is a new push to privatize the war in Afghanistan, because that has worked out so well in the past 16 years.

Glad Trump got tough and escalated with North Korea. They have very clearly accelerated their nuclear program under Trump.

We can blame Obama, because that works so well. But in the end people have been kicking this can down the road for a long time. The difference today is they see the US as weak and unable to respond, which is true.
Edit: Apparently they have like 60 of those warheads. We have arrived at the point we all dreaded.

I don't think so; but it also depends hwere in chicago; certain neighborhoods are far more dangerous than others. In general, baltimore has the worst rates in the US iirc.

The *only* advantage East coast has over West coast living is North Korea. I don't think Portland would be nuked over Seattle or SF, so I've got that going for me, but shit.
