Probably should've left those blank? *shrug That's nothing, my ballot had about 150 choices in all.
I had to search up the candidates before casting a vote. Most of the time I voted party-line unless it was obvious that the opposite candidate was substantially more qualified. For a lot of them the candidates were obscure but there was only one candidate that seemed competent.
Ballotpedia is a good place to start, but also local news reports tend to have a decent position paper on each candidate if you care enough to look. It's actually not that hard, you just have to do it. Most of the time the choice there is really easy.

one thing i do appreciate is how google, facebook and other major sites all tell users to go vote

IMO Trump supporters are a lot more zealous towards him, while I think this isnt the case on Hillary's side as a lot of her voters will vote for her only as a lesser evil and also don't see her as a perfect candidate giving her flaws, A CBS News/NYT poll showing the opposite was just released (Q9). Oh well then enjoy your Hillary presidency.

Bahahaha, Trump apparently made up a Brady endorsement and may have read a fictional letter from Bill Belicheck. I think he actually has brain damage. Or someone on his campaign just assumes everything he gets in the mail is true.

Apparently the letter from BB is real

Yea I probably should've glanced over my local resources before heading in, but that sounds like more work for someone residing in a state where my votes don't even matter for the most part. Well at least I fulfilled my responsibility as a semi-educated voter/plebeian as I scanned my ballot in ha!

Oh well, absolutely nothing wrong with telling people to go vote.

This seems to defeat the entire purpose of having elected officials: either you just vote party line and hope for the best (in which case you might just as well vote for a party and save yourself the trouble of having to tick the same box 150 times), or you leave them blank, but having to inform yourself of the best person for the job for 150 different positions seems nuts.

possible, though its might also be just part of the trend of these big internet companies realizing they do have the ability to touch millions of people and using that for both good and bad and profit. i wouldnt read too too much into it.
im gonna take a wild guess and say that absolute turnout breaks record but voter participation (as a %) doesnt.

You could replace Trump with Hillary in that sentence and I don't think anyone would be shocked either xD

You could replace Trump with Hillary in that sentence and I don't think anyone would be shocked either xD I am sure BB is a lifelong Republican and is both supporting his party and sees Trump as something the country needs. He has always been a guy whose abrasive personality earned him as many fans as it did haters. I’m not at all surprised he likes Trump.
