Executive Obama isn't very popular with the mainstream, so I see it as perfectly reasonable for them to be quite mum about it. You can't just talk about all the things you're going to do yourself unless you want to appear imperial. i don't think i'ts imperial if you focus only on the things that are 100% within the mandate of the presidency. and I apply this to all parties in general, not just the obama issues. One of my goals for when I'm president is to try to lower the power of the presidency, but I doubt it'll work out. especially the being president part First thing I would do as president is to make a court that will get rid of the WPRA. A president needs his imperial powers.
But it does come off as very imperial when you talk frankly about unilateral presidential powers. I wouldn't talk about it at all.

you are just playing word games with "realism". what are the "reals" of potential political action? the delimiting of that boundary is ideological

a vote that makes you feel bad is a coerced vote. a coerced vote isn't a free vote.

For example, a social conservative would say drugs are bad because they're morally wrong. A social liberal would say drugs should be allowed because people should have the right to decide their own actions and control their own bodies.
A "realist" wouldn't care about the moral or ethical rights, and would only care that trying to control drugs is impossible and causes more issues than it solves.

What good is a vote that makes you feel good about yourself when you are standing by while a dictator potentially gets into power?

It's going to get 0 attention, let me tell you why: wikileaks showing clear cut evidence of collusion and MSM is covering it. Also the defense will be the same as for all the other accusers, which is the suspect timing. Clinton camp is in complete desperation right now. Corruption of our greatest institutions will not go unnoticed by the people.

FYI – NPR is the outlet that gave me a heads up about the press conference later today.

It's going to help trump, going to look like a setup if there ever was one by the clinton campaign, unless there is some evidence.

The only reason the news media has not covered it was that they didn’t’ know the plaintiff’s name.
Weirdly enough, this thing has been out there for 4 months and the Trump camp as not tried to discredit it or find out who filed it. They have just sort of ignored it and push all the deadlines until after the election.

Lawsuits accusing Donald Trump of sexually assaulting a child in the 1990s appear to have been orchestrated by an eccentric anti-Trump campaigner with a record of making outlandish claims about celebrities.
Norm Lubow, a former producer on the Jerry Springer TV show, has previously been involved with disputed allegations that OJ Simpson bought illegal drugs on the day Simpson’s wife was murdered, and that Kurt Cobain’s widow had the Nirvana frontman killed.
Court filings in California and New York against Trump, purportedly on behalf of a woman using the name Katie Johnson, have in recent weeks alleged that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee raped Johnson when she was 13. Trump vehemently denies the allegations.

Pretty shitty Hail Mary from the Clinton campaign, picking up a rape case that was thrown out twice 6 days before the election. Jerry Springer has more legitimacy at this point.
