And the closer such footage is to reality, the more idiotic it is to present it with generic truther editing switching back and forth and adding his face and commentary every other minute instead of releasing it unedited. Very few people are willing to take that seriously, as you can see.

They also shut down ACORN and that video turned out to be doctored. Republicans have a history of digging in when a controversy hits and Democrats have a history of throwing the party under the bus and trying to move on. There is a reason a member of the house had to resign for sending dick pics but a senator can hire prostitutes (a crime) and not have to step down and can even run again.
