"The Clinton Foundation is properly registered to solicit funds under Article 7A, which requires organizations to register before they solicit funds in New York," said Ricardo Castro, general counsel for the Clinton Foundation.
Donald Trump's eponymous foundation was issued a cease-and-desist letter Monday from the New York attorney general's office over the charity's failure to register under that same statute. You just won't hear about the other from sources like those reporting on the NY AG office.

Do we have any info on the significance of the changes in the refiling?

But RCP’s review of IRS filings by the Trump foundation turned up a fresh conflict: a 2013 donation of $10,000 to The Family Leader, a 501(c)(4) established to “develop, advocate and support legislative agenda at the state level.” Unlike a 501(c)(3), or a nonprofit organization, a 501(c)(4) can effect policy and engage in limited political activity, and thus is subject to greater restrictions on contributions from charities.

In April 2014, when Citizens United hosted a “cattle call” of would-be Republican candidates for president in New Hampshire, Trump was there. In January 2015, at Citizens United’s Freedom Summit in Iowa, Trump was again on the program. And at the group’s South Carolina summit in May 2015, Trump also took to the stage.
The high-profile events were held in three key battleground states. And it was no fluke: Bossie had insisted Trump be included in one of the group’s events “because he was a good friend to Citizens United,” said a source with knowledge of the discussions.
It might have helped that, in 2014, Trump’s foundation donated $100,000 to the Citizens United Foundation, by far its single largest donation to any group that year. RCP reached Bossie by phone Monday and offered him an opportunity to respond; Bossie said he would call back but did not and subsequently could not be reached for comment.
I made the joke about paintings for a reason. The missing paperwork is the least of Trumps problems when it comes to his foundation.

If someone were to direct a critical documentary on Clinton it would be Total failure to Recall.

I'd be interested to know what the conservative posters' views on Assange were when he released the State Department cables.

No favors done to the movement.

Johnson gave a pretty... bad interview to the NYtimes focused exclusively on foreign policy. It went about as well as you could imagine. Well, I guess it wasn't Aleppo bad.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/06/us/politics/gary-johnson-campaign.html
In the Times interview on Wednesday, Mr. Johnson conspicuously sought to avoid another misstep. Asked if he knew the name of North Korea’s leader, Mr. Johnson replied, “I do.”
“You want me to name” the person, he said, then paused, before adding dryly, “Really.” But he declined to supply the name.
Mr. Johnson complained that Mrs. Clinton was being judged on her base of knowledge rather than her interventionist instincts. “Because Hillary Clinton can dot the i’s and cross the t’s on geographic leaders, of the names of foreign leaders,” he said, “the underlying fact that hundreds of thousands of people have died in Syria goes by the wayside.” He charged that Mrs. Clinton “bears responsibility for what’s happened, shared responsibility for what’s happened in Syria. I would not have put us in that situation from the get-go."

cmon johnson; don't make me have to claim i'm better than you having even one candidate I claim to be better than is one too many.

Question for the Europeans among us who have been following the US race: how does Trump compare to the populist candidates (e.g. Farage, Le Pen, and equivalent) in your own countries? The European versions seen somewhat more... level-headed, even if it's somewhat obvious why they remain fringe candidates.

I think most of the populist movements here try to paint themselves as conservatives whereas Trump just openly blurts stuff out that would end your career over here. I also think a good bunch of the populist movements here don't actually want to govern and love the opposition bait role. The stakes are also very different, most European populist parties don't actually have the power to govern, Trump with the whole Congress is quite scary.

I presume Kwiz would be cool with her making the joke hence his carefully worded response. That she didn't just say "no, I wouldn't make a joke like that" pretty much confirms she said it but didn't want to admit it if there wasn't some other proof she had.

Churchill joked that he wished Gandhi had starved when he heard about the Bengal famine but among the leaders of 1940s Europe I'll still rate him as one of the good ones.

When you're not the target of someones blatant racism and oppression it's easier to see them in a pleasant light.

As someone who strongly disagrees and opposes Hillary, that was simply a good joke that SJW and other of her supporters can't take, but normal people would simply shrug off as a joke. Can't we make jokes anymore? Jokes about woman, blacks or muslims?

But there was a chance to complain about the mythical SJW, so it needed to happen.

Also it was a pretty bad joke.

So if someone says that climate change is a plot from the chinese to sabotage our state people are just going to move on to the party that fits the next best over here. Hence people usually trying to not look stupid/anti-intellectual even if that loses them some votes on the fringe side.
Whereas Trump gets away with embracing that kind of stuff because he's well aware that there's votes to be had there and it's pretty hard to find another candidate/party to support in a de facto 2 party system.
