Twitter will be the end of us. I can't understand how NBC news would think this text is an appropriate description of the attached story. Most people who use twitter don't bother to click through.

Clickbait headlines have been ruining internet media since before Twitter was a thing.

It's possible, but to definitively know if Trump is a racist, I'd have to say you either have to be a close friend of his or be his therapist/psychiatrist. We don't have access to that, and given he has had numerous people who know him completely reject that notion (even black people), I'm gonna put on my trump goggles and hope he isn't racist. This reminds me of how I tried to label Clinton a sociopath, it's possible, but you'd have to know her or be her shrink to really know.
Question for you, when you follow the money on Clinton's past dealings, does nothing you see there worry you? Do you think Clinton sold favors to people using the state department and CF? Do you think there is an insignificant chance that DOJ will protect a democratic nominee in the most pivotal point of an election?

Some things have stronger evidence than others.

Giuliani Says Trump Is Better for the US 'Than a Woman
WASHINGTON — Did Rudy Giuliani really mean to say Donald Trump would make a better president than Hillary Clinton because he's a man? And that "everybody" cheats on their spouse?
The former New York mayor was responding to leaked tax documents obtained by The New York Times that show Trump in 1995 declared such a massive loss in income that he could have legally avoided paying federal income taxes for up to 18 years.
When asked about the report, Giuliani told ABC's "This Week" that Trump was a "genius" when it came to tax laws, unlike Clinton who was investigated by the FBI for using a private email server while leading the State Department.
"Don't you think a man who has this kind of economic genius is a lot better for the United States than a woman, and the only thing she's ever produced is a lot of work for the FBI checking out her emails?" he asked.
In a separate interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Giuliani was asked whether it was fair for him to criticize Hillary Clinton's handling of her husband's alleged affairs when Giuliani himself had dealt with his "own infidelity charge." Giuliani, who has been married three times, was accused of cheating on his second spouse.
"Well, everybody does. And I'm Roman Catholic, and I confess those things to my priest," he said
A phone call and email to Giuliani's staff asking if he would like to elaborate were not immediately returned

To put some context, the deal failed because it involved pardoning the terrorist group, granting them political power, funding and overriding the Colombian constitution.
I believe FARC members unconditional surrender is the "peace deal" that should happen; they should face trial for their crimes. Colombia's last president cornered them close to full defeat, that's why they started these negotiations in the first place.

It was pretty dang close aparently. Like inside of 1%. You'd think they'd go for a recount at that point just to end the war finally.

I'm interested in hearing xDaunt's view on the matter when he finally has the time to make the post I asked for. With the left on top there's very few marginal changes the Republican party can make to redefine itself without taking a short term loss. So there's no incentive to do anything but start over, which is Trump. Trump is not restarting, it is the final form of the southern strategy they adopted decades ago. Gone are the pretenses of attempting to attract minority voters and it just about appealing to that base they cultivated since Nixon.
Here's to transforming into a conservative party that shares my values. But Clinton is funnily enough the politician that most closely matches my values that the US has probably ever produced. Shame it came in a body utterly devoid of charisma and salesmanship.

For those who have not read it, the Washington Post did a in depth look into one Trump supporter.

It is both sad and terrifying. You can see how government and the US has totally failed these people in the last 15 years and why they have turned to a man that is just going to let them down again. And now they blame everyone else, but mostly the black man that is in the white house.
She was a 52-year-old woman who had worked 20 years for the railroad, had once been a Democrat and was now a Republican, and counted herself among the growing swath of people who occupied the fringes of American politics but were increasingly becoming part of the mainstream. Like millions of others, she believed that President Obama was a Muslim. And like so many she had gotten to know online through social media, she also believed that he was likely gay, that Michelle Obama could be a man, and that the Obama children were possibly kidnapped from a family now searching for them.
“So beautiful,” Melanie said as Ivanka Trump walked onto the convention stage to introduce her father, and soon the soaring score of the movie “Air Force One” was blasting through the TV. Melanie sat up straighter. This is what she had been waiting for.
“Here comes Big Daddy,” she said, clapping. “The Donald. Big Daddy.”
Kevin was snoring.
“Here he is, babe,” she said. “Donald’s here, babe.”
Trump walked onto the stage, chanting “U-S-A! U-S-A!”
“That’s right, Donald — USA, baby,” Melanie said to the Republican nominee for president, who began his speech by marveling at all the Americans who had gotten him here.
"she believed that President Obama was a Muslim. And like so many she had gotten to know online through social media, she also believed that he was likely gay, that Michelle Obama could be a man, and that the Obama children were possibly kidnapped from a family now searching for them."
“Oh, look,” she said, reading a headline. “‘A West Virginia member of the House of Delegates says Hillary Clinton should be tried for treason, murder and crimes against the U.S. Constitution and then hung on the Mall in Washington, D.C.’ ”
She scrolled.
“I want to find out if he’s going to the nut house because of it,” she said.
She lit a cigarette and squinted at the screen.
“Look at this,” she said, pointing to a photo of Michelle Obama with a caption suggesting she is a man. “It’s everywhere.”
And then she began explaining, step by step, how she had come to believe that the first lady might actually be a man named Michael.

Which one, Barack or Michael? Both. And their stolen children. Seriously the lofty goal of 100% voter turn out is over rated.

Why were they interested in the PoV of a crazy person? I mean, there's plenty of people who support trump with fewer signs of clinical insanity; so it can't be about representative trump supporter-ness.

So people like Plansix can say that is the average Trump supporter, and wallow further in their narrative.

Because she is the type of person that Trump's style of populism and celebrity draws out. Trump believes some of the bullshit she believes. He bought into the birther non-sense and I doubt it really ends with that.

There are enough of them for me to be concerned. Trump's power is that he is a con-artist and tells people what they want to hear. To this woman, he is going to save her. To David Duke, he is taking back America for white people by deporting all the illegal immigrants. To the person who can't think of voting for Hilary, he is a guy who will hire good people to advise him and he won't be that bad.
