#FreeTheDelegates I wish I could say the same about you but from my perspective it's unfortunately just sad rather than funny. So you want Donald Trump, the Apprentice Mentor himself to be commander in chief? Ah, so you're an immigration voter? LOL I'd bet $50 right now that you care most about immigration w/r/t Trump. That's all Trumpkins have to go on. Just lol at the notion you want him to be commander in chief. He's not even an impressive businessman. I am going to have a LOT of fun rubbing in Trump's loss in November (and for 6 months after that).
Are you okay?

Wow. I'm kind of speechless at how blatant that is.

Delayed by the Orlando attack, Donald Trump's much-touted speech hitting Hillary Clinton's history in politics with former President Bill Clinton is back on for Wednesday, the presumptive Republican nominee announced Tuesday.
"I will be making a big speech tomorrow to discuss the failed policies and bad judgment of Crooked Hillary Clinton," Trump tweeted, less than an hour after his campaign announced that he would be delivering a speech at Trump SoHo in New York.
Trump had previously promoted his June 13 address at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire as an all-out blitz to question the presumptive Democratic nominee's judgment and trustworthiness to handle the presidency. But after the June 12 shooting at an LGBT nightclub that killed 49 people, Trump refocused that speech on national security, reiterating his proposals to temporarily ban Muslim immigrants to the U.S. and from countries that have Muslim majorities.
“The Clintons have turned the politics of personal enrichment into an art form for themselves,” Trump said at a post-primary election speech on June 7. “They've made hundreds of millions of dollars selling access, selling favors, selling government contracts and I mean hundreds of millions of dollars.
“Hillary Clinton turned the State Department into her private hedge fund,” he said, suggesting that the Clinton Foundation attacks will play a large role in the speech.

But the efforts to keep minority voters out of the system isn’t just a republican problem. It dominates local elections, who just want to limit minority voter’s voice.

The guy giving that speech admits to buying influence his whole life. I guess it's clear-cut that buying influence is much better than selling it. Either that, or he's just simply a clown .

Jesus fucking Christ.
The Supreme Court gutted the exclusionary rule and the Fourth Amendment yesterday.
what. the. fuck. 5-3. I mean, Breyer generally has a blindspot to these types of 4th Amendment cases, but what the flipping f' did they overturn the Utah SC decision.
Sotomayor's dissent is the only good things to come from this case. Why the crap...

It seems like every other post from you or Plansix includes personal attacks against opposition.
Are you really that passionate about hating on Trump and his supporters? I've always wondered what could motivate someone to be passionate about hating on someone else and actually derive enjoyment from it.

The decision still gives trial courts a fair amount of discretion relative to the application of the exclusionary rule so I wouldn't be too worried. Nevertheless, I'm quite disappointed in Breyer

This ruling is legit nonsense. It's nonsense.

I'm not sure its gutted. It requires an outstanding warrant for arrest for the search to be valid and the discovered evidence to be admissible. Does it clarify if the admissibility of the evidence is based on the reasonable belief of the officer conducting the arrest/search or the warrant being legit and not an error? If the warrant was later proven to be was not valid, I assume the evidence would be tainted by that fact?

Good faith police error has always been a crock of shit exception, IMO.
|
Agreed. Good faith in the police just gives more power to the state to make shit up. We need to go back to distrusting the police by default and having them earn our trust again.

I think Sotomayor's dissent touched upon this notion that when laws are such that everyone is almost always doing something a little illegal, we don't want that to warrant law enforcement arbitrarily (usually not so arbitrarily, usually targeting minority groups) proceeding on to a potentially humiliating fishing expedition because of it.

And now the back lash begins.
As top Republicans expressed astonishment and alarm over Donald Trump’s paltry campaign fundraising totals, the presumptive nominee blamed party leaders Tuesday and threatened to rely on his personal fortune instead of helping the GOP seek the cash it needs.
New campaign finance reports showing that Trump had less than $1.3 million in the bank heading into June ignited fears that the party will not be able to afford the kind of national field effort that the entire Republican ticket depends on.
The real estate mogul responded by going on the offensive, saying GOP fundraisers have failed to rally around his campaign.
“I’m having more difficulty, frankly, with some of the people in the party,” Trump said on NBC’s “Today” show, adding: “They don’t want to come on.”
“If it gets to a point,” he said, “what I’ll do is just do what I did in the primaries,” when he lent his presidential campaign more than $43 million.
The billionaire developer increased his line of credit to the campaign by just $2.2 million last month — the smallest amount he has shelled out yet this year — but Trump said in a statement Tuesday that “if need be, there could be unlimited cash on hand as I would put up my own money.”
Such a move would effectively amount to abandonment of the Republican National Committee and the rest of the GOP ticket, which relies on the presidential nominee to help raise hundreds of millions to fund a national field organization for the fall elections.
GOP strategist and fundraiser Austin Barbour said Trump’s dismal fundraising efforts “could have a devastating impact” on the Republican Party generally.
“If they don’t fix this in a massive way, it’s going to have widespread implications down the ballot. It just is,” Barbour said. “If he’s not raising hundreds of millions of dollars, there are gubernatorial races, Senate races, congressional races, attorney general races, you name it, that will be impacted. Those races are dependent upon get-out-the-vote efforts from the RNC and the presidential campaign.”

If the warrant was later proven to be was not valid, I assume the evidence would be tainted by that fact? Outstanding warrants are plenty, and can be for anything as minor as a traffic violation and a missed/late payment on a ticket. There are millions (or perhaps tens of millions) of outstanding warrants, most of them for minor infractions at best that don't justify invasive searches or possible arrests. Even so, it doesn't excuse that the search for a warrant was started without grounds for suspicion.
The majority ruling here excuses the officer for conducting a illegal, suspicionless stop/seizure to do a routine search for a warrant, and then using that warrant to justify a full search for more evidence. Let me repeat, they are acquiring the warrant to search you and keep your evidence admissible after illegally stopping you without any justification. In other words, it means that the police can now stop you without legal grounds for one, and search for a warrant with which to justify invasive searches for evidence. It provides a legal framework around the Fourth Amendment for systemic racial profiling.
This is...argh.
in other news, all four unconstitutional gun control bills failed in Congress, yay. Because the Fourth and Fourteen Amendments really needed those challenges.
Now maybe we'll figure out some actual gun control measures, like requiring and subsidizing background checks for private arms transactions.

Yeah. The no fly list has always been questionable in the constitutional sense. Not its existence, but the fact there there is no notification or legal process to be removed. I wish democrats had tried to push through something more effective. But this was mostly to get people to vote on the record.
