Ban all those from the UK, deport them now!
A British man has been detained and charged with attempting to seize a police officer’s gun at a Las Vegas rally in order to commit an act of violence against Donald Trump, authorities said on Monday.
Michael Steven Sandford was arrested at the Saturday rally after grabbing at the holster and handle of a gun at the hip of a Las Vegas police officer who was providing security at the event for the presumptive Republican nominee.
A federal magistrate on Monday found that Sandford was “a danger to the community and a risk of non-appearance” and ordered that he be held without bail, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Justice, who also confirmed that Sandford is a British citizen.
A spokesperson for Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: “We are providing assistance following the arrest of a British national in Las Vegas.” British authorities are understood to have become involved on Sunday.

Towering columns of smoke rose from the San Gabriel mountains behind Los Angeles as the fires several miles apart devoured hundreds of acres of brush on steep slopes above foothill suburbs.
Police in the city of Azusa and parts of Duarte ordered hundreds of homes evacuated. Others were under voluntary evacuations.
“It’s crazy. It’s super close,” said 17-year-old Tawni Atencio, whose family was evacuating their home in Bradbury.
She said the flames were just a couple miles away and were making the house hot despite air conditioning. She watched as smoke from the fire billowed outside and helicopters dropped retardant on the flames.
“It looked like a bomb exploded,” she said. “It’s scary. We’re just praying it doesn’t get to our house.”
The two fires had grown to a combined five square miles. The first and largest of the two was sparked by a car accident, the California Highway Patrol said.
Helicopters sucked water out of a reservoir to drop on flames while air tankers bombarded the flanks of the fire with retardant.
Officials had warned of extreme fire danger in the region as the heatwave peaked. Temperatures surpassed 100 degrees across much of southern California well before noon, while some desert cities sizzled in the 120s. Source I was a couple miles away working when I saw the smoke. Very majestic. It covered the sky.

I've always wondered why they don't add coloring to intentionally set fires to calm people who see them in the distance.

I don't think the UK advocates for oppression of women, killing of gays, execution of apostates leaving the country, etc etc etc.
Islam has a history of violence and oppression, especially in islamic countries in the middle east where it is the rule of the land. It is unique among religions because it advocates for the overthrow of any government not compatible with Islam.
I don't have faith in our ability to screen refugees and immigrants when Hillary wants to bring in an additional 65,000 of them from Syria.
Also Trump isn't advocating we deport muslims who are already American Citizens, just illegal aliens.

Can you substantiate your assertion that Hillary Clinton is a "con artist"? Also, that that descriptor suits her better than Trump?
(I won't debate "liar", although I think that describes pretty much every prominent politician.)
EDIT: Alternatively, you can pass on this question if you think that conversation will just be a shitshow, which it probably will be. If you make an assertion like this, though, you have to expect to be called on it.

Based on Trump's trajectory this week, you better get used to saying President Hillary Clinton.

I've got my money on Trump but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he lost.
I'm not going to threaten to move to Canada or anything because that's just absurd.

She didn't get paid 30+ million dollars by wahabbi arabs to bring peace to that part of the World.

I don't buy the argument that HRC is more of an interventionist than the Bush2 admin. Sure, more than Obama. But HRC won't have the Republican congress signing off on Trillion Dollar Wars anytime soon. There is a significant middle ground between Bush2-style unlimited occupations that take the whole USA military and the light touch drone+special warfare operations of Obama.
|
Crooked Hillary is the worst candidate the Democrats have ever nominated so it'll either be a close election that could go either way or Donald Trump will be elected in a landslide.
|
The only reason Hillary won't do that is because of how expensive it is and because of how badly the public will look upon it. She literally can't be an interventionist now. The way the public is now.. would they ever support another war again without some massive attack or Israeli false flag like the Lavon Affair?? It's interesting that females can now be drafted for the war but it seems unlikely to ever be used the way the left is pushing things. I suppose she could send X amount of troops, but nothing to the levels that Bush sent. Though, that many aren't needed today for what the USA's current perceived goals are I think.
If she were in Bushes shoes after 911, she would have jumped all over Iraq. They were supposed to take out multiple countries in the region and have the conflicts spill over to make the mess we see today. Iran was supposed to be the last one to fall because it's the hardest to strike due to it's high population and mountainous terrain.
Hillary wants to flatten pretty much everything that is not Israel and to make it clear that Iran, SA, and Egypt should not be going for nuclear capabilities. Well, not flatten. But control. A decade or so ago they were beating the war drum for Iran and tested out how the public would feel about it with Ahmadinejad but the public didn't bite hard enough. I know Iran was supposed to be the last of the countries to fall on the list though.
- Protection of the petrodollar - Israel must retain it's nuclear monopoly - The Qatar - Iraq - Turkey Pipeline wants to be built/secured. This will undercut Russias oil market within the EU. Hence why Russia was all, "lulz gonna bring in a badass ship and S-400's to ruin everyone's plans" - US is happy to fund Islamic extremists to cause problems for Assad
SA wants to prop up a Wahabbi regime in Syria and Turkey wants the Syrian chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood to take Assads place.
+ Show Spoiler +And to the above as much as I like peppering the countries with a bit of nationalism and anti-PC, I find it hard to believe Donald will be elected. There are just so many uninformed people that are just blurting, 'omg racism hitler sexist'. The media has him branded and people who align themselves with him are now evil, thus they can be attacked.

Post Obama Democrats are different if you haven't noticed. Check out the Bernie movement. Check out the Obama national security guys who have grave suspicions about intervention. HRC will be operating within that environment (Obamaites, Berners, Republican Congress). Simply put, it isn't the 90s anymore. Liberals aren't in hiding from the shadow of Reagan and clinging to Bill's third way business. I get that HRC would be more likely to launch limited interventions than Obama (see, internal Libya/Syrian debate within the Obama admin). But that is still a long way from Bush2 era radicalism.
EDIT: the real question is Syria and Assad. Obama has held his fire, wisely, and against the protestations of the Republican peanut gallery. Would HRC reverse this? Someone should ask her. I think this is a question mark, not a definitive either way.

Why in your view is that wise? (I don't mean to come off and say that it's unwise or assert that it's not, just curious). What are the advantages to Obama holding his fire there and allowing Russia to intervene on US interests in the ME?

Peter Thiel reelected to Facebook's board of directors
Peter Thiel made his fortune as a co-founder of PayPal and early investor in Facebook. In recent weeks he has found himself at the center of a debate over the influence money can have on journalism, and by extension, free speech. Thiel paid the lawyer who worked for Hulk Hogan in his suit against Gawker Media, eventually winning a massive judgement that led Gawker to declare bankruptcy. Thiel acknowledged the vendetta, which stems from a Gawker story published a decade earlier that outed him as gay, something Thiel wanted to keep private, or at least, out of the press.
Thiel had been funding the lawsuit anonymously against Gawker Media. In fact, he paid the lawyer to litigate several cases, of which the Hogan case was simply the most successful. He has also made a name for himself as an advocate for an offshore libertarian state, a singularity university funder, and Donald Trump delegate.
Like many other companies in Silicon Valley, Facebook has multiple classes of shares, only some of which are available to the public for purchase. That means that founder Mark Zuckerberg and other members of the board essentially have unilateral control on all votes, as their shares weigh far more heavily in the final tally. All that means is that, unless public outrage over Thiel's actions against Gawker grows far stronger, his seat on the board of the social network site is likely safe. Source
