What "happened," can you clarify? How are we supposed to have any idea what he's trying to say or even talking about from a video like this? I can't watch every 1 hour rally he gives trying to find the context of every 8 second clip of nonsense someone isolated.

I greatly recommend his speech on the vocation of scientist and politician as a start (and they're free on the internet !). It's a gold mine for anyone who want to think about anything really.

I am not a Trump fan myself, but to me at first it didn't really seem bad. I understood the statement as: "If you want to know about gay people, talk to them, ask them" which seems like a reasonable statement to make. Of course it highly depends on what the context is, but without context, those 8 seconds are not really damning to me. Generally speaking, i think 8 seconds of video without context should only very rarely be used to make any point.

Yeah, being black actually sucks in most cases. You are most likely going to be born to a single mom, in a impoverished area and have the odds stacked against you, but it is still that person's responsibility to do his/her best in a given situation. Currently, there are enough well-fare and government programs, which ironically are a form of benevolent racism which should allow anyone to ATLEAST be in the upper middle class. Most of us might never reach the 1% even if we juice out every ounce of our potential, but I think the vast majority of people irrespective of skin color can make it to the middle-upper middle class level even coming from the worst environments. The far left and BLM movements want blizzard to fix everything for them, even though if they were "skilled" enough they should be able to win in the end. These kinds of movements poison the already disadvantaged black community by holding them back psychologically even more. They are already pressed for resources and time, yet they waste it by congregating outside and screaming empty words without any organization. Also in my opinion there is no white privilege, if anything there is a wealth privilege and even more important a family privilege. Starting out with a single parent without any good family support system puts you in a huge disadvantage. Fuck it, just close this thread forever, this shit is so dumb. As wonderful Stefanie Sprengnagel said a few days ago, "I think guys that feel themselves to be oppressed by the political correctness dictatorship would shoot themselves in the head after spending a day in the body of an actual minority." Everybody can make it to upper middle class! LOL. Lets revive the bookthread instead maybe. WhiteDog: i think you need to know a lot more about religion than just Maxxy Weber :o

(and from my experience in the field of health it is generally more productive to refer to a group as "gay people" or "people with diabetes" or "Republican-leaning voters" if you wish to engage with that group-even ignoring whether it's somehow more or less "politically correct", nobody wants to be reduced to "a hypertensive" while you are soliciting their feedback) But that's not anything particularly new from how Trump refers to people, it's pretty much just how he talks.

Really? At this point we'll arrive at 2.0 meters people getting mad if referred to as 'tall'... how is pointing out one's party dehumanizing?

But.. clearly a lot of work was put into it. I won't jump to conclusions but that's the official story so far. Having it get "hacked" could even be a political move seeing as it's not like it's painting Donald in a pretty light. Though people are ripping through it right now so we'll see what the juiciest parts are.

I started reading through it and it's clearly a highly developed research piece that probably cost tens of thousands of dollars, maybe more, to write up. It doesn't help the DNC in the slightest to have this leaked. It gives Trump a whole lot of leverage to prepare and refute the current strategy of the Hillary campaign. They could develop a new strategy but that's going to be a lot of work. News story on the leak: http://bgr.com/2016/06/15/trump-research-file-dnc-clinton-hacker/
