Note that many Rubio backers mentioned a huge Ted Cruz scandal that they were sitting on. These are also anti-Trump forces who have chosen to back Cruz. Many Rubio supporters and anti-Trump consultants hinted at The Thing- which was a campaign-ending Ted Cruz scandal. They dropped it once Rubio left the race, as they did not want Trump to win." http://www.dangerandplay.com/2016/03/24/ted-cruz-sex-scandal-thoughts/

Ted Cruz however has always ridden the religious moral high ground.

That should have disqualified him from being a real candidate but since it didn't, I don't see why an affair would matter. He's even said stuff like "I know all about corruption in campaign finance because I was part of it." If that and his anti-immigrant rhetoric didn't hurt him, that wouldn't either.

A top Tea Party group threatened Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) on Friday with a primary challenger after Moran said he wants to hold a hearing for President Barack Obama's nominee to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia. "Grassroots activists in Kansas and across the country are furious that Senator Jerry Moran has decided to join President Obama in denying them a voice in the next Supreme Court Justice with their votes in November," Tea Party Patriots Citizen Fund chairman Jenny Beth Martin said in a statement, according to Politico. Moran told constituents on Monday he wants to hold a hearing for Obama's nominee, Judge Merrick Garland, who is largely considered a judicial centrist. “I would rather have you complaining to me that I voted wrong on nominating somebody than saying I’m not doing my job,” Moran said. In her statement Martin said the group wants Moran to "reconsider and stand with Kansans and the American people, rather than President Obama and his liberal allies." Martin said Moran's remarks constituted "outrageous behavior" that will lead to a serious consideration of encouraging Dr. Milton Wolf, a radiologist, to pursue Moran's seat. Wolf mounted a primary challenge from the right against Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) in 2014. He lost to Roberts by 7 points. Source

God I hope this blows up in their faces so hard. Anyone who tries to pull this shit should get voted out of office. Mcconnell and his ilk are a cancer. Such assholes with their back channel "we will confirm him if we lose the white house" then framing it like the people need a say in the justice nomination. Reality check, they had their say when they elected Obama.

Trump is running on beta male empowerment fantasies. Trump advertises his dominance over women and all the pussy he gets. Trump plasters pictures of his wives all over the internet. Banging a bunch of high powered DC conservative women would be something Trump would advertise to his beta followers. But for Cruz this is devastating. Cruz's bus says "TrusTed", how does he keep that going after all the lies about his exploits? Cruz trots his small daughters on stage along with his wife. Cruz practically running as a preacher (though something about preachers and adultery ...). Further, what more of an insidery thing to do than to bang all these DC insider women.
