Donald Trump denied having any role in a National Enquirer story alleging that his campaign rival Sen. Ted Cruz has had extramarital affairs, insisting he had no knowledge of the story prior to it being printed.
“I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it,” the Republican presidential front-runner said in a statement.
Speaking to reporters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Friday, Cruz accused “Trump and his henchmen” of planting the seeds to what he called a “garbage” story and “tabloid smear.”
“I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman (sic) and then pretend total innocence,” Trump shot back in the statement.
The real estate mogul said Cruz’s issue with the Enquirer is his alone, but said that the publication was “right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others.”
“I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz,” he added, before claiming he will win the nomination and the White House. “I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again.”
A former Trump adviser, Roger Stone, is quoted in the tabloid's report, in which he suggests the accusations of adultery could have merit and hurt Cruz's campaign.
Wait, you mean when PUA/MRAs call other men weak pushovers who pander to women, they are really the most insecure of all? That their entire group is just a living embodiment of male insecurity?
Former Attorney General Eric Holder and a Washington-based civil rights group are urging changes to the way the criminal justice system treats female prisoners, particularly those put behind bars by D.C.'s local courts.
A new report issued Friday notes that D.C. women who have more than nine months to serve on a sentence are sent far from the Washington area. Most go to a federal prison in West Virginia, while others are sent to Pennsylvania, Texas or Minnesota.
"Challenges that incarcerated women face are magnified by that issue," said Holder, who served decades ago as a D.C. Superior Court judge and is now a partner at Covington & Burling. "It's hard to keep in touch with children and family and depending on the distance it might be impossible for families to make trips to the prison."
"They cannot see their children or other family members for many years in a row, because of the distance," said Carolyn Corwin, another Covington partner.
The report, prepared for the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, urges that women with up to two years left on their sentences be allowed to serve at D.C.'s Correctional Treatment Facility, a privately run jail in Southeast D.C.

Madness. Madness I say.
Insecurity and Passivity are hilariously different though. My Freshman roommate went through a POA phase to hilarious effects after he read "The Game". Started wearing goofy hats and leather boots and the rings and all of it.
I like to think of it the other side of the "White Knight" style of trying to get laid. Its two, conflicting, idiot worldviews about women. But they both are hyper aggressive and slavishly dedicated to the "plan".

I'm almost certain that Trump has had affairs before, but they're never scandals because that type of thing complements his image.
That's the kinda sociopathic genius of him; rather than attack cruz for the affairs (which could backfire as seeming very hypocritical if Trump has had affairs himself) he attacks Heidi which makes Cruz predictably defend her and portray himself as a family man - Trump then doesn't even have to launch any attacks himself because Cruz already dug his own hole.

A couple of the women denied the affair happened, and there are some differences in the way this article and the Edwards one were written... I'd hold off on convicting Cruz for at least a little longer

Its amazing how alluring it is for a lot of nerds/gamers who love the idea of being able to boil human interaction into a game. Where there are measureable metrics and a plan that will allow them to deal with their social bullshit that doesn’t require them to deal with their social bullshit. And then they talk about women being the gate keepers to sex, like a woman has never tried get laid and fail in the history of the world. Through I feel terrible for the women who have to interact with them, because holy fuck, they never give up.
And of course, these clowns break hard for Trump because he is selling what they want, relationships based on merit and accomplishment.

It's interesting to realize that so much damage has already been done. Today's news is entirely dedicated to wondering if Cruz cheated on his wife 5 times.
