I wouldn't go that far, those tiny sausages can't hold a controller. but precision targeted carpet bombing! Damn, i forgot that he meant those surgical saturation bombings, you're right. My bad. Btw, is that that xkcd guy? im that infamous? Depends, are you the funny guy that sweetened many workdays with stick figures etc? Btw, on the rating thing: What we do know, from several published reports and archived Web pages, is that the university had a D in 2010 and under its new name, had ratings ranging from C to B, with no ratings after March 2014. nah im the guy that rants about the good old days of brood war and shy away from talking about politics on TL for good reason We will get political during the terror Starleague casts. Those need to come faster!
all with whiskey of course!

That must be terrifying thoughts/views then, considering what else gets discussed here.

By the way, does anyone seriously believe, after watching this debate, that Trump could handle Hillary in a debate? He'll excite his base as usual, for sure, but most independents and moderates will clearly see who's competent between the two and who's the person they should elect as president.

Same with Trump vs. Bernie imo.

he's banking on dirt of Hillary -- Benghazi, emails, etc. As for Bernie, not sure but I don't see Bernie winning the democratic nomination regardless

Presidential debates are an entirely different animal... He might or might not be good at them, but they're completely different. I don't see that primary debates are a way to evaluate how he'd do. I would also suggest that 1 year ago he didn't have a base (or candidacy) and his ability to win supporters is not to be underestimated.

trump's old tactic is going to deteriorate in the long run as his random bombastic errors get recalled back at him with the aid of digital high def. lets hope that he hangs on and invents a new controversy to take back control of the narrative.
i suppose the space of potential shock issues is diminishing. he needs to handle cruz, maybe call him a canadian

If Cruz becomes President we will know the apocalypse is nigh.

Are the rules of engagement something that gets repealed anyway? Aren't they more like a series of guidelines issued by the Pentagon so as not to break the Geneva convention and get in trouble for all that shit? I'm confused by the word repeal. It's like if he'd said he wanted to repeal "no shirt, no shoes, no service". Sure, he could make a case for it but still, repeal?

On a non-election related note, this is the most Portland (Oregon) thing I've ever seen:
A pot shop in Portland announced it plans to donate a portion of its sales to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign, KGW-TV reported Wednesday. As part of the “Burn One for Bernie” campaign, the owner of Foster Buds, which has two dispensaries, said the business will donate 10 percent of sales from every $10 “Farmer 12” joint sold to Sanders’ campaign.

Apparently he thinks the president personally sets the rules by himself?

I wonder if Harvard wants to rescind his JD

As a Princeton graduate and Harvard-trained lawyer can we dispense with the fiction that Ted Cruz doesn't know how the rules work?
|
Good ol' Ted is just a humble, God-fearin' man. Let us prayerfully consider deporting him back to Canada where he belongs.

Former SecDEF Rober Gates:
“The level of dialogue on national security issues would embarrass a middle schooler,” Gates said of the Republican contenders at a Politico Playbook event in Washington on Monday. “People are out there making threats and promises that are totally unrealistic, totally unattainable. Either they really believe what they’re saying or they’re cynical and opportunistic and, in a way, you hope it’s the latter, because God forbid they actually believe some of the things that they’re saying.”

More problematically, ending the rules of engagement would cause us to lose our wars. We are fighting for the people under the sway of various insurgent groups. We don't want to liquidate the Sunnis of Iraq. We want to kill the ISIS guys (of which a significant portion are Sunni Iraqis) enough to drive them out of power. Blasting civvies is the surest way to destroy the legitimacy of our campaign and drive Sunni Iraqis in the arms of ISIS.
