Edit: Pretty sure the PC has gone to far poll could be taken at any point and it would be about the same. It a pretty loaded question, like "how do you feel about deadbeats on welfare? Are they a problem?" | ||

After that it's about making Trump paint himself in a corner by getting under his skin and making him say more dumb things. Obama can bring up how how he humiliated Trump at the White House Press Correspondent's Dinner. Bill can pull the "aww shucks gee whiz" thing and just bring up all the oppo about the shit Trump has pulled over the years. Also David Brock and the rest of the dogs of war are gonna be let loose to tear Trump a new one. Trump is a bully, he's never faced anyone who really stood up to him. It'll be very interesting to see if he reacts as predicted, or if he's actually some sort of genius. | ||

What is really turning them isn't the policy, it is Trump's deeply unstable personality and patent authoritarianism. Might it be the case that voters become motivated to vote for Hillary just because they know that the alternative is Trump (or vice-versa)? Fear and hate and other negative emotions can be pretty strong motivators. I feel like apathy and complacency would be more likely to lead to low voter turnout, and there are surely plenty of emotions and hype to go around. | ||
