It would be more interesting to know volume of the search, but I don't think that scale actually mean anything.
It doesn't say anything negative about Clinton, but it can only be positive for Sanders.
This is exactly what Sanders needs. The biggest problem for him is that he isn't very well-known; his policies appeal to a huge swath of the Democratic party, but people just need to learn about him and actually like him as a candidate.
Can we just hand Hillary the nomination already? None of the other candidates seem to have much interest in actually challenging her and her closest competition DEFENDS her on stage, really?
Jim Webb is my man though. Loved almost everything he was saying tonight.
I wonder how many Republicans watched the debate, and what their views on that are. I'd like to see a poll on that once one is done. It's definitely something to look for: people the other party find acceptable.

Yes how dare he try to draw attention to issues and simultaneously inextricably link himself to a few news cycles of coverage relating to the emails instead of manufacturing scandals, what is that man thinking.
So who do you think "won" the debate? Did Bernie make himself known enough? Did Hillary manage to not combust? Did anyone else make even the slightest ripple in terms of viability?

The media bias is incredibly obvious with this debate.
They keep peddling lines like "he missed a good opportunity there". The NY Times also wrote an incredibly biased piece that painted the whole debate like Clinton was nailing Sanders (it was roundly called out in the comments section).
The problem is that the media establishment supports Clinton precisely because she's an establishment candidate that will end up helping big business with her flip-flopping and shady shit. If they actually covered his clip with CNN right after the debate where he was asked why he did that and responded "It was the right thing to do", it would be massively positive for him.
Of course, that won't happen, because the media just shapes the narrative to whatever is in their best interests.

Draw between Clinton and Sanders. Both had some really good lines, both played to their strengths, and both had some weak moments.

Every one of them thinks Kasich is a contender huh? Every single democrat thinks Kasich is a contender for president...interesting. I was unaware that's what I, and everyone else thought, do go on with your mind reading though!
Webb came off as a giant pussy whining about time when he's got no chance of winning anything. The other B list candidates didn't cry, they used their time to talk. He randomly brought up killing a man, I mean what the fuck? He didn't say anything of value to turn any heads, other than make people think "Who is this giant headed psycho?". Not a great look when no one in world knows who you are to begin with.
Hillary was slightly better than Bernie IMO, but both made their cases articulately. O'Malley might move the needle a bit in his direction, but he's going to go from being a very very distant third to a very distant third. He looks to be angling for VP, but then that begs the question why pick a VP who brings nothing but look presidential?
I like Kasich because he's far more authentic and articulate than the other Republicans. He's full on compassionate Christian conservative. He doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning though-- he's very much in the establishment vein despite some more liberal positions, but that niche is already fully filled by the twitching corpse of Jeb!.
Also, the quality of the Democratic candidates is magnitudes greater. Like, if Republicans take away nothing else, they should be shitting their pants at how poor their candidates appear in comparison. Also, I think the chance of the Democrats winning really big in the next election shot up.
@below: man, Reagan sucked. Like, he was bipartisan sometimes (everyone was back then though), but his administration actually sucked.

So your are interested in people pedantically qualifying that obviously not 100% believe such a thing? Hes at about the same % in the polls, and yet significant portions of the Democratic media (and quite a few persons here during the republican debates) act(ed) as if he is the next Reagan.

admirable, but not exactly how you win in politics.
He needs to get people who would otherwise vote for Hillary, voting for him. Issues are important but you're in a race against other people too, something he seems to ignore.

I think what he meant was that Kasich would actually be a contender for president IF he got the party nomination. Dems seem poised to slaughter most of the current Republican candidates.
These Republicans like Ronald Reagan so much you think one of them would be able to crack a joke. Reagan's greatest attribute was that he was FUNNY, people! Reagan was hilarious! Watch any of his speeches. Seriously. But, no, all these conservatives are almost cartoonishly humorless. 3/10. Would not elect.

The debate itself seemed mostly like a draw between Clinton and Sanders, I'd give Sanders the edge but I'm biased.
The other three just reminded us why they were polling in the single digits (barely). O'Malley was the only one who could see some real improvement in his numbers but unlikely.
The clear winner of the debate experience as a whole is clearly Bernie Sanders. Hillary got nothing out of the debate, except a clip of Bernie getting a better response to his answer about her Emails than she did.
Bernie clearly won the exposure contest, he won the organizing contest (far more watch parties than any other candidate), and he won the internet (twitter, reddit, facebook, youtube, flash polls, etc...)
So imho it was a push as far as the debating itself went but Sanders overwhelmingly won when it comes to who will get the most out of the debate coverage.
If Frank Luntz's focus group is in any way representative of the Democratic Party electorate, Bernie Sanders was the big winner Tuesday night.
During a post-debate focus group on Fox News Tuesday night, Luntz's focus group was nearly unanimous in their assessment that Sanders won the first Democratic debate in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Of the 28 Democratic voters in the group, about half indicated their support for Hillary Clinton before the debate, and only a select few of them continued to think so after the debate.
"So who won the debate?" Luntz asked the group.
"Bernie Sanders!" they said in near unison. Luntz went on to ask the group's front row for a word or phrase characterizing Sanders' performance, and the group threw out plaudits such as "for the people," "strong" and "straightforward."
guys, don't you realize that Jim Webb is a completely serious person and actually would make a great president? that's the tragedy of this whole thing. I'm serious! Far better president than Clinton, far better than anything the republicans could muster up.
