I think if Biden ran, this would be a very interesting race. I'd prefer Bernie over any of them, but if it came down to it, I'd much prefer to vote Biden over Hillary.

I didn't mind him saying he signed a bill that was passing overwhelmingly without reading it.

Bernie got off to a rough start but came through better in the end. I hope he'll do better in the next debate. O'Malley was pretty good too. Webb seemed like he thought the stage was for republican candidates. And Chafee committed political suicide halfway through the debate by saying he signed a bill without reading it. I think Hillary wouldve been the clear winner if she hadn't mentioned being the first woman president, that was a little cringe-y. Chafee and Webb are totally fucked.

Yes, but then a lot of the people in the state of Massachusetts have half a million dollars just by owning a house. But a lot of those are not single member house holds and none of them would even be considered upper middle class. So let's save the term millionaires for those who can throw around millions of dollars and not be homeless and without any material assets.

Two times once before a commercial break and once right after, too. I'm slightly surprised she didn't mention it more though.

Webb and Chafee are done. O'Malley did well, but there's no reason to pick him over the other two. Sanders and Clinton did equally well. They played to their strengths and both had good lines in particular situations. I don't think the numbers will change that much, but I think that is an advantage for Sanders. The longer he can hold on to his momentum and make his name more recognizable, the more opportunities he will have to widen his message, pull in the minority vote, and set himself squarely against Clinton, exposing her as being everything he is fighting against.

2. Bernie had a good opening, though he started out a bit rough with the gun control questions. I knew that was going to be his rough point, and it's funny that CNN started with it. Seems a bit fishy, although you can understand why it may be frontloaded. After that, he became more comfortable and got back to what he knew. I think he ended strongly, and basically tied for second. I do believe he could emphasize a bit more optimism in his spiel. 3. Martin O'Malley also did well, though I feel him a bit too choreographed as well. He speaks well, and he looks presidential. Surprised on his stance on Edward Snowden, among other things. I'm interested to see what type of press and polls he gets from this. He was so much better than the other two wannabes. 4. Jim Webb was relatively strong on foreign policy, and that's about it... I can respect him, even though he is pretty shallow. 5. Lincoln Chafee is a straight joke. I would write more about him, but he probably wouldn't even read it.

It would be more interesting to know volume of the search, but I don't think that scale actually mean anything.

1. I think Hillary stopped the bleeding at this debate 2. Webb was in the military and has a vagina neck 3. Chafee seem sto be running for the Democratic nomination based on the assumption that less candidates makes it an easier path to the nomination than the Republican debate 4. O'Malley seems like a nice guy 5. Bernie was a little less charismatic in a debate setting, but not bad. Missed a shame to really shine though Grades: Hillary: A- pretty good overall, she came in with little to gain and everything to lose and made a decent job of it Webb: C for showing up Chafee: F because he probably did the undoable and lowered his poll numbers O'Malley C+, but since he's nice we'll give him a B- Bernie: B/B+ didn't feel the bern, but he didn't come up cold either I have a little faith restored in politics though, this was much better than the circus show/food fight of the Reublican debates.
