I'm very sceptical of casters claiming to be of a certain playing level without being willing to show it; especially when their casting makes you doubt that because of the knowledge they show with their casts. Above anything else Day9's claim to have 3 seperate accounts in Grand Master seems to be fishy: where the hell would he get the time from? I remember Apollo stating in his Teamliquid MLG Arena interview that he was trying to make GrandMaster but that he just lacks the time. From a raw talent level I'd set the same at the same level (if nto Apollo higher, him being a WCG Champion in another RTS Title) but if he lacks the time to get even one account in GM, how can another caster find the time to get three accounts there?

It was during a SotG with users question.

I'd doubt that the level of competition in the CNC3 scene ever matched the NA SC:BW scene. The game was less mechanically challenging and hadn't been out for long so it didn't develop as complex a metagame. Also, Day[9] has repeatedly said that he in part makes the dailies to review and think about theory.

Just thought it would be interesting to watch a few replays, even from BW. I think he just says that so people think he plays. It's very obvious if you actually pay attention to what he says that he does not play the game though. Edit: I know he played during the beta, I'm just saying you can tell he hasn't played the game in a long long time.

There is no footage of actual games from both those casters in 2 years for a reason.

Only games I can recall are his HDH invitational games and Stars Wars games vs China/Korea. Edit: And as for brood war, he participated in one of the two BW TSL's and replay packs are usually released for those. He didn't play BW too actively back then though but still made around B-/B during the TSL season.

He definitely plays, though. He LOVES this game, it's a life passion. Do you honestly think he wouldn't play?

On topic, I would think tasteless plays, probably not a ton, and he's probably only masters but he probably still plays.

I really don't know why this hasn't happened yet. Schedules smedules, this would actually be really entertaining and totally worth making time for.
