I think it has to come down to their mass and not being as fluid in their shot motion as a lot of other players. You see someone like kobe or lebron take a shot and it's a fluid, graceful motion oftentimes. I think it's much more rare for people like shaq to make the same motion.

Funny that you mention Lebron when it comes to good shooting motion. There are literally 100 better names when it comes to shooting motion. I think most players do work on their shot. Some players just dont have it.

And boy was he good it, but anything outside he was just naturally incapable. Dont think anyone can question he didnt work on it.

Sooooo why doesn't he spend much more time on his FT shooting when he KNOWS he's going to get to the line probably ten times a game?! :< Shaq was an 85% FT shooter in practice. It's mostly nerves.

Their complete inability to get the ball to Durant on anything resembling a good spot on the floor is just mind boggling. It seems like the only way he actually gets the ball is if he stands behind the 3 point line and he has to do everything himself to score. Westbrook. I am not saying he is bad. But i think that you got to have a guard that is pass first(you have a Durantula ffs) then a combo guard like Westbrook. I understand 1-2 punch. But i would tell him that he should drive more then shoot the ball. It's KD's job to shoot. I just think that no matter how good Westbrook is shooting, he is hurting his team. I still think OKC will take the series tho. But will they finnaly go over the hump and get to the WCF. We shell see. I just hope my Heat will be waiting for them there ![]()

It's hard for Durant to get free of his defender, screening for him is worse because teams will leave Perkins and Ibaka just to make sure Durant doesn't get the ball. I would say they need to run more offensive pick and rolls with Durant and Harden, since both of those guys are actually scoring threats. This Knicks-Heat matchup is hilarious, it's like the battle of opposites. You have the team that has 0 synergy since Carmelo refuses to pass the ball. I don't care how great a scorer he is, 26 shots 1 assist is just too much, especially when you're putting up 26 shots over LeBron and Battier. Then you have the Heat, where the coach wants Miller and Battier to shoot as many times as possible because they understand that makes it easier for the big 3.

I agree with you, but i think also Ibaka has shown that his paremiter game, and that jump shot is something they should take in consideration. I saw him splashing that J against the heat in regular season and other games this season. Should really try a bit to exploit that. But yeah i rather see Harden pick and roll or pick and pop then with Westbrook. Its just the mindset of Westbrook that i don't understand some times. Even tho according to ESPN Stats & Information that OKC is 23-5 if Westbrook takes more shots then Durant, it depends against which opponents they played etc. With Durant taking more shots its 23-13. Still would prefer KD to take more then Westbrook.

But frankly Durant was being defended pretty well (and missing open shots when he had them). And Dallas was giving Westbrook the jumper all game. The double team got cut to ribbons at times and so they resorted to going under the screen to cut the lane and protect the paint. So he burned them because he got hot on the jumper (which he often does). I dont like it when he defers to make a play when he takes those shots but yesterday I cant fault what he was doing. And Dallas got burned bad enough to have to revisit that strat tbh.

Dallas won a championship like that [no need for assists!] but it's not really reliable...the Bulls defense would give OKC fits.
