Westbrook loves taking pull up jumpers off the dribble. That's one of the, if not the, lowest percentage shots in basketball.

However, Westbrook has Durant on his team. Durant is probably the most unguardable guy in the league right now. It's inexcusable to take more shots than him.

I kind of want Westbrook and Harden's roles to be swtiched. Harden and KD play better together I feel, and Westbrook can still provide scoring off the bench.

I thought OKC played phenomenal defense on Tony Parker, he was completed stifled for the vast majority of the game. TP was not able to stop Westbrook quite as well, but Westbrook did start chucking towards the end of the game which hurt his team considerably. Gary Neal also had a number of big baskets in the 4th quarter. All in all, this was a very important Spurs win. I felt before the series started that the Spurs needed to win game 1 but could afford to lose game 2. So far they have taken care of business. If they do end up winning game 2 I think it could get nasty for OKC. I really love this Spurs team and I hope they win the title this year. One more for Duncan would be no shame for the NBA.

Eh, I don't know if I can agree with you completely. Durant is overall a player better than Westbrook, yes, but it makes more sense for Westbrook to take more shots being guarded by a smaller Parker than Durant against a good defensive player in Jackson. Thus it's not comprehensive to decide that Durant should take more shots. Westbrook certainly needs to take better shots, but I just don't believe Durant taking more shots is the answer. Also, the most unguardable player title has to go to LeBron, and I say that as a big Heat/LeBron hater. He's just extraterrestrial. Harden starting in place of Westbrook is not a good idea in my opinion. Harden plays well with just anybody because he can create shots on his own, but the Thunder need Westbrook to score/pass/faciliate and run the offense right off the bat. Spurs played the worst three quarters I have seen them play in the playoffs, yet still pulled out the win. Well-managed, well-coached, fundamental, experienced, calm, collected and deep. Best team in the league, I would be surprised if this series goes to six. (Though the youthness of OKC is a factor, I don't think it will hinder the Spurs).

Durant is the big matchup favour for OKC in this series. Capn Jack is good, but he couldn't keep up with Durant when he was attacking the rim and kept fouling him. Only problem was the Spurs started swarming Durant as he went to the paint when Harden and Westbrook were failing to impact the game. If I have one criticism of OKC, it's that their offence can stagnate pretty quickly. They lack a bit of off-the-ball movement and can have a tendency to just watch Durant/Westbrook go iso.

But against Westbrook, Harden and to some extent Durant, who are guys who like to play pick and rolls and come off screens, rotation and bigs are more important than one on one matchups. Anyway I hope this series is over soon or I will have a heart attack. Especially if the Spurs keep turning it over so damn much!
