Our pumpkin carving contest has come to a close, and entries will no longer be accepted. A huge thanks to everyone who participated - there were several very nice carvings! The TL staff will now judge all the submissions and the winners will be announced within a week's time.
*** Update ***
Due to a very generous increase in funding by travis and Naz too, we're able to increase our prize pool by five fold! Prize money will now be as follows:
- $100
- $60
- $40
- $30
- $20
That's right, we're having a pumpkin carving contest! You've got just under a week to create your Masterpiece
So if you haven't dragged yourself off to go buy a pumpkin yet, now you've got a great excuse: bags of money and TL.net fame

Whether you just need to brush up on the basics, or take Carving 101, the intarweb's full of helpful websites. Apparently jack-o-lanterns are even an art form for some people. And if you're feeling particularly courageous, you could try roasting the seeds or even make a pie. If you decide to do something WoW related and have it done by noon on the 27th, you could also enter it in Blizzard's contest too - although the competition there looks pretty fierce.
Instructions
- Carve your Pumpkin!
- Take a picture of it. Just to ensure authenticity, write your TL.net username on a piece of paper and include it in the shot. (And if you think it's somehow distracting from the magnificence of your work of art, take a couple pics - one with, and one without the paper.)
- Upload your image somewhere. I'd suggest using something quick & easy like ImageShack or TinyPic.
- Post your pic in this thread by 11:59pm on November the 10th, TL.net time.
Few other notes:
- TL staff will decide who wins during the following week.
- More than one submission per person is allowed.
- Subject matter? Anything goes, but be warned that we'll be heavily biased towards Starcraft, Progaming, or Teamliquid themed entries.
Also, this is all being made possible by generous sponsorship from travis, so be sure to send or shout out a Thanks!
Happy Carving & GL HF
