This is the worst April Fool's joke ever, if it's an April Fool's joke. That is sort of the equivalent of what this is, because even if it was a joke, it's a joke that hurts Eclypsia more than it gains them anything. It doesn't display good humor and doesn't put their organization in a positive light what so ever. If this is a joke I would expect sponsors to pull out immediately. I wouldn't want my brand associated with an organization whose management thinks it's funny to announce to the world that they're a shit organization who won't reimburse players for flights and hotel, dodges attempted communication and potentially runs off with sponsor money.

Well, since Welmu never responded, I am going to assume this is an elaborate April Fools joke to get more exposure for the team. You can say it wasn't the smartest idea to throw their team under the bus just for laughs, but I am sure they will announce something big to counteract it. Who knows though, I could be completely wrong... I have April Fools lol.

I doubt it is an April fools joke and it is terrible. It's more likely that after this gets out, if they do in fact have the sponsor money to give, they will give it back and CLAIM it was an April fools joke. If it was an April fools joke, they'd at least be able to contact the team representatives. But the OP and apparently his other teammates are actually being completely ignored.

Such as a shame stuff like this happens, sorry man.

The sponsership money that they had, maybe they planned to get a bunch of good players then ask sponsers for money, then Welmu asking to go to this tournament was going to fuck up them so they would have to give him the money so they just said instead that he can pay his own way there.

Ah the wonders of theoreycrating XD
