Not like this hasn't happened before with unpaid players. I remember it happening to a lot of amateur foreigners in BW up until now, however. It's almost April 1st. I think you guys might want to wait to react to something like this and let it play out.

Yes, and my point is that if it is an April Fool's (mind you, it's not April 1st in Finland, and Welmu is from Finland) it's an April Fool's that only hurts the organization. There is nothing positive that can come out of the players announcing publicly that the organization they are representing is not reimbursing players for expenses they promised to reimburse them for, and that they have been unable to make contact with management for two whole weeks. My point that if it's an April Fool's joke, it's an absolutely terrible one, and that a "LOL APRIL FOOLS JK HAHA" is not going to make everyone go "hehe lol I see what you did there."

All forms of publicity are not created equal. There is a point of no return where bad publicity hurts the organization. It's a discussion on when publicity hurts organizations. It's not different at all, because in both cases it will end up hurting the organization. EG doesn't any need any publicity as they are already incredibly famous and it wasn't a conscious decision by EG to say "ok lets unearth these old replays of Orb calling people niggers on ladder" I can see why someone(who is awfully stupid) could say that they just want to spread awareness of their team,

It doesn't matter if everyone is looking at your team if no sponsor wants to be associated with your team. Would you want your brand to be associated with a team whose management thinks this type of joke is funny? It has nothing to do with an active decision on anyone's part. EG didn't look for old replays of orb doing anything, the community unearthed those relics and did what they could to get orb fired. When orb was suddenly the talk of the town on reddit and on TL, he went form being quite an up-and-coming caster, known to some with decent exposure, to a "superstar" over night and everyone was looking at him. Everyone knew who orb was all of a sudden, but the publicity was bad. EG didn't want their brand associated with the bad publicity that orb would bring to their organization if they kept him on, so they had to fire him.

If it isn't, then my condolences are for you, but in the business world you should never think something just on someone's word alone, unless you can prove they said it.

Making the site. announce players. and make it look like this was just a new low budget team, just for the lolz. Then I'd laugh! Anyway I'm sure it isn't, and I'm sad that things turned out this way. Hope you guys get your money and all of this is solved soon.
