Yeah, with unknown/new teams you really should not pay for travel in advance and demand the salary at the 15th of a month.

If a team cannot fulfil that they are definitely overextending themselves and you should be warned.

I talked to Eclypsia player Poullieux today and he said that the team was doing fine, and that it was nice and upcomming.
He said nothing about this, but this sounds really weird. A lot of people has been talking about this, and it's been really serious.
Why would any1 ever troll 5 very good players and a whole community to get nothing out of it ? There gotta be something wrong, I'm quite sure they're not scamming you.

If it was this serious and they had a lot of money, you've got to been talking to the staff via phone etc right?

Well, anyhow this sounds weird. Hopefully everything will get solved.

More than likely it's not a scam. At some point someone probably realized they didn't have the budget to run a team and then decided to call it quits or something.

Hope you guys figure something out or find another team!

Do you have a contract? If yes, you should considering taking legal action. A joint claim from all the players would probably be your best choice. Let's hope it's all just a misunderstanding though...

It's unfortunate and I really feel for all involved, you'll incur additional expenses until the litigation is ended but I suggesting suing them for all you can get. I'm not terribly familiar with EU law so I can't really advise you further but you should consider getting a legal consult.

You were not screwed. This is not called a "scam". This is called "a group of children playing at business and someone fell down and skinned his knee". Change your ID back and enjoy the trip you paid for.

Hilarious @ everyone telling you to sue. As if a typical pro Starcraft player contract is for enough of a salary to cover the cost of office supplies and gas to file the lawsuit.

I don't think it is a scam either. Rhater some people who maybe did not plan as they should. From what I know they don't have any real sponsors so they problebly did not generate any income. And when they realised that they went above the budget they decieded that maybe they needed to close down the project. I don't know who runs Eclypsia or their origin.. And I was suspicius at the start, but we will see. I hav eto say though, if they already went above the budget they had before they even got started... I hope you can tell us who runs Eclypsia so that other players can stay away from such horrible management.

That said, I hope you can keep us uppdated Welmu, because while 2 weeks is a long time without salary or conntact, it is by no means uncomon in the world of e-sports, perhaps they have a good reason, perhaps they don't. In any case I hope i gets solved soon.

Edit: Holy_AT I don't think that an april's fool joke about your team not paying you is very good... for any of the parties. it is only bad atention and is very very serious accusation.

Wow this is terrible. Welmu is a great guy, sad to see him screwed over like this, hope either Eclypsia get their act together or he gets his money back.
