It's how aranae said it, I don't quite get it either from the way aranae worded it the team of kev1n/aranae/kerp/creaton/jree is somehow a team of its own while atn was just a sponsor that they took the name of and therefore don't own it. Idk I'm as confused as you are. | ||

You probably dont know that because they lost at an even earlier stage. In contrast to that the now NiP players actually qualifed for LCS at the end of the last season. They just had to leave their org (and with that give up the spot) because LD is terrible and did nothing for them. All of this shit is happening because Riot insists on giving the LCS spot to the esport orgs and not to the players. If an org is useless (like LD apparently was) players cant leave them if they dont want to give up their LCS spot. Because of this players have very little bargaining power and have to accept what their orgs give them, even if they get no gaming house or dont get any salary beyond what they have to get from Riot. If players held the spot the LD players would have probably just changed their org after last season to NiP and there would have been much less drama and roster changes. If NiP now buys the LD spot all ends relatively well though and LD would be finally gone. Atn players did it right. They founded their own gaming company and let it hold the spot. So they just played under the Atn brand, without Atn having any excessive power over them. So they were able to look for a better offer for this season and all is fine. Btw It makes me shudder to think that Quantic almost qualifed for LCS and their scumbag Canadian owner would have gotten hold of the spot. He would have given his players as little as possible and used the Riot money to pay off his debts. Or tried to sell the spot to keep the money for himself. | ||
