Because you need to keep at least 3 members if you want to keep your spot I guess.

Yeah, that's my point! Certainly it must mean most (if not all) of the NA expansion pre-qualified spots are vacant, which could be huge. Ladder ranking will actually be quite significant now if the top teams potentially will get first-round byes.

And it gos to show how utterly unstable the scene is outside of the LCS, even a relatively easy spot into the expansion tournament cant keep em together.

Who did CA change? If they lose Keane their chances of making it almost vanish.

I bet this thread has a smile on its face whenever off season is.

Keane who is having huge visa issues (I'd imagine his situation is a bit weird having lived in OCE for a while but being a Korean citizen?) As has been stated, they've been playing with bigfatlp (and winning!) in 5s.
Cris is out for Hauntzer who came up from the LoLPro team. Cris left quite a while ago so I'd actually say that CA has had 1 actual recent roster change and if Keane does get his visa sorted he's back in npnp

Sorry Voy...

Now, Keane was having visa issues but I just checked Saint's Ask.fm and he says Keane will come back this weekend, so seems like crisis averted. But still, looking like the #1 and #2 challenger ladder teams may wind up with first round byes.

The scene inside the LCS is pretty volatile too, look at all the memberswaps and drops that are happening. the only difference is there are restrictions to what they can do (taking only like 1 member from another lcs team, and foreigner limits)

It's not like Cop will singlehandedly carry CA to LCS, rofl, like it happened with Curse twice before. Either it's going to be Keane, bigfatlp or other one trick pony it doesn't matter at all.
Only toss up is Fusion vs coL #2, this might be interesting just because coL #1 has Kez who tends to shit bed in Promotions. Coast are just too random to call them as favourites and LolPro is same story.

I dunno, I actually think Enemy, LoLPro, CoL, Crushed Dreamz (CoL #2), Coast and Fusion all have pretty equal chances of making the #2 spot. I mean, you say it's a toss up between Fusion and CoL #2, but Enemy beat Fusion (http://www.lolking.net/replay/na/1610215310) and CoL 2 (http://www.lolking.net/replay/na/1603192553) in 25 minute stomps with final kill scores of like 25-5. Then, they turn around and lose to CoL #1 (http://www.lolking.net/replay/na/1609763744). They all seem pretty capable of beating each other at this point.

Is enemy still the same roster as they announced? Because I thought that roster was pretty good, at least until otter randomly leaves it next week http://www.dailydot.com/esports/krislund-gambit-gaming/ Lord lewis has spoken, krislund will survive. Krislund getting into LCS before beansu or trashy did from that RG squad makes me feel so wrong

It's ranked fives, lol. And i'm not going to put a single ruble on inori performing on stage + if otter is behind, they have sick troubles transitioning into midgame from what i've seen.
Lol, Krislund. Gambit is safe pick for bot-4 now.

It is this roster: http://www.trackingthepros.com/team?id=41
They are indeed doing pretty well on ladder. Yesterday they got stomped twice by Coast though. Interestingly Coast has now started to grind the team ladder. No idea if just for practise or if they lost their expansion spot after all.
Regarding Gambit that we talked about yesterday, I checked lolnexus and they are atm apparently scrimming with Cabochard, Diamond, Krislund, Edward. Dont know who plays mid.
edit: ok dailydot also says Krislund.

LoL scene is such a clusterfuck right now.
Still boggles the mind that Ich is teamless what with all the NA teams that apparently need a mid.

It's not like Challenger teams have shittons of practice partners now, when everyone has holidays from LCS squads and just starts scrimming in 1-2 weeks. So, gotta grind, i'd say, to build up shinergy.
Will be fun though if suddenly Coast saves their expansion spot with Riot's making a "TSM poached and got fined" call.

For NA mids? Please, he might not be Pobelter/XWX/Bjergsen, other are up to him.

Alex has been real terror last few months so don't know if anyone would want to pick him up even without the family issues.

If teams wanted to gamble on a player suddenly becoming top tier I'd definitely go with alex in the right environment. But all the visa and family issues linked with him makes it tricky iirc he can only really take offers from German teams to play in LCS because of the visa clusterfuck linked to him.

Too much extra baggage for AlexIch, i wouldn't gamble on him at all.
