While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people.
Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned! - Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM - Comparing people to Hitler - Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum. |

Except it won't. I'm not going to see GSL and pay for their tickets anymore.

I payed to see NaniWa pay Mr. Chae. I will now ask for a refund. If you are talking about the next GSL you did in fact not pay to see naniwa. That's like saying "I paid for tastosis but Khaldor casted I want refund"

News flash for you kiddies, THEY DON'T! They will kneel the ball almost every single time if they are way ahead or way behind. Furthermore, if they've already qualified for playoffs, they sit every single starter and basically throw the rest of their games away.
You are all uninformed and spiteful. That is all. What are you on dude? The team that is losing/in a losing situation wont kneel the ball. The 2nd string players that come in for the 1st string players still give it 100%. Teams that are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs still show up and play. Well sending in B-teamers still weakns the team alot unless you are Barcelona or REal Madrid. And Ive seen so many games were a team have nothing to play for and just arent that motivated. Sure some young b-teamer might go for it but the lack of skill just is to big. When they go down 1-0 they just stop trying at all and its usually a pretty lame game after that. Its not pritty but thats what you get with the format etc and you cant say its wrong when a team who is ready for playoffs want to rest players or just dont have that motivation when there is not something to strive for! so you saw a game where the players weren't motivated those players were playing the game though right? see how that's different?
So you are saying naniwa did not play the game? He showed up just like the players in fotball does. In fotball however you can not 7 probe rush, but if you could you can be damn sure alot of players and team would.
stop acting like this never happens in real sport, it happens freaking all the time and even wors then what naniwa did.

You guys realise naniwa was invited to play in a tournament with the best of the best. This isn't some playhem daily and GOMTV is a business who has to entertain their viewers. I don't see how anyone can approach what Naniwa did as acceptable.

Banning Naniwa IS UNFAIR. Get over it omg. Sounds like you're the one that needs to get over it. Throwing a game IS UNPROFESSIONAL especially when you're a progamer. All these people whining about not wanting to buy tickets cause Naniwa isn't going to be in Code S next season: did you feel like you got your money's worth after what he did last night? Yes because there were amazing games that night including games that included naniwa. I didn't even want to see the naniwa nestea game anyway because they would have both played like shit.

This is disgusting.... I can't believe GSL took this action.... Ridiculous.
Wow............................. WHAT THE HELL?????
|
Btw GSL can fuck off due to inviting Idra just to try to please the masses after their dumb decision to ban Naniwa.
Just shows what cynical and condescending attitude they have to their "foreign" audience.

Don't disrespect Nestea and maybe this won't happen... because they dont want to support an organization that screws their favourite players How about not supporting an organisation for being unprofessional?

Setting high standards for professionalism so their league can survive many years and grow into a multi-million dollar organization? Those idiots. There is a difference between setting professional standards and over-punishing someone on something so meaningless. I mean it's exactly like the KeSPA ruling about someone typing ppp instead of pp. That person was disqualified because it was "unprofessional".
What is a acceptable punishment?
I don't see banning Naniwa for a single season to be too much? That's almost the lightest punishment they could have given.

That is such a huge leap of logic, you can tell they were up all night looking for ANYTHING they could use against Naniwa. I have to say, GOM must have some really fantastic lawyers. I actually found that match quite entertaining myself, not every match has to be some epic macro game. I've always wanted to see a player worker rush, especially a protoss, and see if they could win. Anyone remember Boxer's epic worker rush? If that had failed, would you say that he deserved to be punished for "offending" the opponent? This is why FBH is my favorite player.

Not only that but also reward other players a spot they didnt earn it but being popular and have a milliion fans is enough..
Skills?. Earned there spot? lol who cares

I hope someone (Idra?) refuses his new Code S seed in protest, since this is just so arbitrary. Yeah, Naniwa shouldn't have done that, but it's also the fault of the tournament format which had two players play a meaningless game just after both had been eliminated. :/
|
So Naniwa works his ass for months, moves in in Korea, and because he worker rush instead of proxy gating (for instance) he loses his seed ? Nice lobbying...
|
Yeah... I'm going to keep my $100. It is GOM's fault for having a format which creates meaningless games.

Don't disrespect Nestea and maybe this won't happen... Pure speculation. Who are you to say he won't do well?
His 1-12 GSL record tells me.

Just because he didn't do a good job pretending not to throw the game, bleh.. should've just 4gated T_T
|
What a bizarre application of that rule. Feels iffy to me; that's so subjective - doesn't seem like it was meant to be offensive to anyone, which is the kind of action that rule should stop. I think GOM blundered here (as did Nani).
