While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people. Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned! - Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM - Comparing people to Hitler - Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

He was disqualified from code S (or whole GSL) for 2 seasons just because of not showing up in the group drawings Yes but those are important and worth something. Rain put GOM in an awkward position when he said he'd be there and then wasn't there. Based on some of the things that have been said, NaNiwa told GOM he was going to forfeit the match because it was meaningless and they still put him out there to play that meaningless match, so GOM put themselves in that situation and then punished NaNiwa Naniwa put GOM in that situation. He agreed to play all the games. He agreed to their rules. Then at the last minute he said "Fuck it I'm gonna throw this game" and GOM said you're going to play the game as you agreed to. They probably knew then they'd ban him if he did. Naniwa did this to himself. He agreed to the terms. He didn't abide by the rules of the tournament (unfit for progamer rule). He got banned for it. The fucking casters didn't even know the game was going to be played and they WORK for GOMtv. Khaldor and Moletrap explicitly said "looks like Nestea and Naniwa will not be happening because doesn't change anything in the groups", they later said "Oh no, it's going on". If GOM really wants to enforce so many meaningless matches, why don't the bo5 in the Blizz cup go for all 5 games? I mean they don't change anything about who won but it's still a match!

Idra's gg'd won games and has spewed an unprovoked "Fuck you" to MouzMana in the IPL, broken his keyboard after losing to Trimaster along with a slew of other immature reactions. Idra's getting a Code S spot. He doesn't sound like a paragon of mature behavior after losing to me. Face it, Naniwa got crucified. Yeah none of that had anything to do with the GSL. While Idra was still competing in Korea he was always respectful. Heck, GOM even made a farewell video for him. Being a BW player who trained there, he very well knows the standards for pro players in Korea. Amusing. So it's ok for Idra to not give a shit and act like a prick in a tournie hosted by his own team when the team's relying on him to win a set? I'm glad shows such deference to Koreans and shits on the guys sporting the same colors.

What he did was plain disrespect to GOM, viewers, and his opponent, who practiced hard for that match. It's not like he was banned from GSL, he can still go through Code A qualifiers, so it seems perfectly reasonable. I do think they should have fined him the prize money for not taking the games seriously. But the Code S seed was won a month ago at MLG, it's a completely different issue. It's not even really an invite, he qualified for Code S by one of the explicit means possible. A fine is payed by his team though. That was takled about on state of the game. What would that teach him?

Just shows what cynical and condescending attitude they have to their "foreign" audience. Well said, exactly how I feel. I thought they were cool

But he's from sweden, so everyone from sweden will support him no matter what he does. fanboys will be fanboys.

naniwa should stick up for himself admit he was wrong, but say that taking him out is completely unfair since what he did was completely legal. how pathetic.

Nal_ra won that game since he was actually trying to win, unlike Naniwa. Probes have shield regen and a longer range than SCVs.

His 1-12 GSL record tells me. As well ash is 0-3 Blizzard Cup performance, ignoring the 4th intentional game drop. Korea seems like one intense environment for one to perform in. So many great player choke when they get there.
