To put it bluntly, Terran is only easy if you are cheesing or turtling, otherwise it is incredibly hard to play. Turtling doesn't work in TvP either, as mech is pretty bad. | ||

i have played maybe 300 1on1s as terran and maybe 20 as zerg and toss, and im still so much better with either zerg or protoss. but thats probably my individual aspect. I´m gonna switch race in season 5 | ||

- I think TvT is the best mirror , this was actually the reason I switched from Zerg back in S1/S2 after seeing the sick GSL games. There is the least propensity for BO losses and it really comes down to control and multitask. I generally don't have long, drawn out games; maybe 1/10 games. Love mech and marine-tank, but also the fact that every unit is used in this MU. The games feel stable and there are multiple compositions that are totally viable. - TvZ feels slightly T favored, especially in macro games where the Zerg does not find some hole in the Terran's play - although the high master/GM Zergs I face will sometimes seem to have trouble keeping their money low while defending multiple attacks, bums me out whenever I see that in replays, almost like it wasn't my win. More Zergs need to burrow banelings or go Infestor, that gives me more trouble than mass muta - I have a problem with building ridiculous amounts of clumped turrets =] - I'm generally okay in TvP, whenever I lose I can at least attribute it to myself in lack of control or bad decision/engagements. I don't have too much trouble in macro games, the times I die are usually to timings (which it seems like every Protoss does on NA) when I don't scout Collossi in time and get rolled, or I just roll the P when I do scout it - they're such a "do you have enough? no? you lose. Yes? you win." unit as far as timings go. This match-up feels the most volatile, I think it requires the most scouting out of all the MUs, a protoss can throw down 4gates, scare you and then build a Nexus, or build one Collossi and let you make 10 vikings; you always have to be aware of their actual army composition. 1base all-ins are too strong from both races, it's the only match-up where I die to 1-base all-ins that I don't mess-up horrendously in preparation or defense and the only match-up where I can confidently 1base. I can't ever go into this MU with the mentality that we'll both play a standard game with multiple skirmishes and engagements sans-all-ins or timings. It would also be cool if tanks were viable late-game, but they get progressively shittier as the charge and upgrades kick-in; I feel like they just aren't cost-effective outside of openers and all-ins. Overall, I'd say Terran is the "active race", which might make it seem harder because you have to be constantly moving around the map and harassing, as opposed to defending and making workers; but at the same time Terran kind of feels like they have a bit more control over the games. When I lose, it's never a "that guy played perfectly, what the fuck could I have done?". There's always a "well, that was a bad engagement there", "my macro slipped here", "I got too passive here", "I should've done X". | ||

I like off racing a bit now and then, but overall Terran is so much more interesting/fun. I mostly offrace to play zvp/pvz, I think it's an awesome matchup. | ||
