Surprisingly I enjoyed Husky/Day9 duo much more. Maybe it's just cuz I've been listening to The Casting Archon too much for the past year... :3

Edit: And yeah, Husky did a pretty good job at improving!

not my most popular opinion but i can't stand tasteless's influence on artosis - i can't stand the nerd-chic exclusivist jokes that just waste time - i can't stand the constant off topic banter - i can't stand that their general disregard for women that leads my girlfriend to become actually angry while i'm trying to watch mlg and make dinner- and not even lastly but definitely in this mlg mostly - you get paid by gomtv and gsl to hype the gsl on the gsl on gomtv when you are at work at gomtv for the gsl- you spend all day bming players and the gsl then come to mlg where you are getting paid at a professional position and rate to promote their product, and complain about how tired you are to thousands of people and then tell them they should stop watching mlg right now and go watch gsl replays instead. If you did that sportscasting for the NFL you'd never work again. It's unprofessional and frankly embarrassing when I try to bring this starcraft thing to the people in my life that don't understand I can't trust them to respect it or me. I can't put my mom in room with those 2. that said they're some of the hardest working goofballs in the world and their commitment to the game is never never in question- there's no hate I just want to see sc2 as glossy and pro as it can get-more gloss - more sponsers - more prizes - more players - more games

THIS POST ONLY HAS LIKE 7 PERIODS IN IT, HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?

I agree that K9 is pretty good as a casting duo and should definitely be on top of the foreign events. I think that Tastetosis just doesn't keep up with the foreign events/players to give the same dynamic commentary in the GSL. On the glossy/professionalism thing, well that's your opinion. I think if SC2 ever became NFL big/professional, I'd either lose interest or completely find another game. I kind of like that it's nerds commentating a game for other nerds, no reason to bring my mom into it.

Its like Husky and Day[9] were Dark Templar's, new kids on the block who fused to make a Dark Archon which could with time rival that of the all powerful casting Archon that is Tastosis. Jokes aside I thought Day[9] an Husky did quite an amazing job this weekend keeping the crowd into it an making it fun to watch on stream. Tastosis though did a good job themselves even with Tasteless's voice being what it was. Though in the end I feel like K[9] just slightly edged them out even though I voted for both

I was a bit surprised that I liked K9 much more than Tastosis. But K9 did the most important thing pretty well. They got you excited for the game. Honestly the final wasn't that great but I really got invested in it and K9 played a big part in it.
Tastosis on the other hand didn't have the energie that they used to have and anaylsis part was also worse.

tasteless is the weak link in the tastosis combo.

Casting archon in this case but I'd rate Day[9] and Djwheat over them

Husky asks day questions all day because he knows nothing about the game. And day has recently expanded upon his bad habit of just saying uh-oh and oh no way too much. I like day9 with wheat but with the attrocity that is husky he not my favorite.
I'm a gooner.

I don't get these threads. Since SC2 hit there's been like 50+ threads with polls just like this one just minor variations. It's like people are obsessed with casters, or the need to express their opinion of them.

Both duos did a good job, just as expected..

These polls are important to the community to reward and encourage successful casters as well as let event organizers know who we want to see at these tournaments.

I have immense respect for the Casting Archon, but personally felt (as well as virtually everyone at our Champ. Sunday party) that they were completely overshadowed by K[9].

This. I feel that day9 is the best caster out there.

As for Raleigh, I prefered K9

Tastosis gets my vote, but mostly for Artosis' insights. It must be said that Day[9]&Husky/DJWheat tend to have a much more polished and professional attitude during their casts, though.
If only the Archon tried not to digress and joke so much while the action is going on, they could really be excellent—not that they should not joke at all, they should simply time their digressions better. Their casting tend to be somewhat inconsistent at the moment. I also wonder whether Artosis' committment to his SC2 team and Tasteless' somewhat slacky approch to the game could prove harmful to their casting skills in the long term.

Quite frankly, Artosis + JP was my money combo.

Tasteless was plugging the GSL too much for my liking this weekend, and the comedic chemistry between JP/Artosis, though unexpected, was absolutely hysterical.

Tastosis performed as expected, Day9 unfortunately was unable to cast to the best of his abilities due to Husky talking bullshit nonstop as well as interrupting him all the time. Mostly, Day only got to shout "Oh no!" and "Oooooh" because that freak didn't let him talk at all. I have no idea why they let this zombie cast games.Because of his YT video views? Seriously? What a shame.

I think if we're talking about which 'pair' of casters is superior, I'd say tastosis. I personally think they have the best 'synergy'. They can follow on from each other's comments, insights, jokes etc.. Day[9] and husky are great, individually they may even be better than tasteless and artosis, but the 'synergy' isn't as good by only a little bit I'd say.

However, for this MLG, I think both pairs did an awesome job!

Day9+Husky for me. As I've said, these two guys are noticeably more witty. Day9 laughs is infectious, and Husky sometimes makes jokes that don't get attention because they're subtle and he or day9 quickly talks out of.

I don't understand why the fuck people do this kind of polls. You know day and husky read tl and this is not going to make them feel good. You (OP) are very annoying.

there is no way in hell tasteless and artosis are better than husky and day9. artosis just tries wayyyyyy too hard to be funny and it just makes me cringe sometimes. they have too many awkward moments but i guess its just my personal opinion. Husky and day9 all the way. i dont mind tasteless that much....but hes still inferior to husky and day9. my 2 cents. great event regardless and im thankful to everyone regardless.
Im cooler than the other side of the pillow.

What annoyed me most was the lack of excitement coming from Day9/Husky at some times. Yeah they can go berserk about some stuff sometimes but especially after the last game in the finals where the winner was determined it was like 'Oh and *** wins this MLG, a hand for ***.' And then they just kept talking about the series etc. I feel like that moment would've been so much better with tastosis.

tastosis are just too good - no other casters can even compare to them.

I like day9 and husky too though. ^^

I think individually Day and Husky are better at their given roles, Husky is a better play by play caster than tasteless and Day is better at analysis that artosis. However as a duo Tastosis has better chemistry as well as great humor, which wasn't showcased at this particular MLG because of tasteless' voice. This doesn't mean K9 is bad, there my 2nd fav and I got to give husky a lot of credit for improving so much.

Tastosis for me as I have always enjoyed them as casters and am the most familiar with their voices and style which provides a familiar comfort when watching matches (lol? is that weird?).

However, I REALLY enjoyed listening to Day9 and Husky cast MLG Raleigh. Not once was I disappointed to see them appear just before a game (like I am with other casters), and loved how their addicting energy and excitement sucked me into the games.

So while I pick Tastosis, K9 is a really close second, only separated by my personal bias as stated above.
