It's not a fact and you're acting like a child if that's how you'd really behave.
How am I acting like a child? Have you never booed your rivals team before? Why is it that in SC, everything has to be so well mannered? It's and e-SPORT. SPORT
Don't have to be mannered. Just don't be a fuckin dick. Never have I gone to a live sporting event (3 in my lifetime) and heard booing ever even from the hardcore fat drunks who paint the logos on their hairy stomaches. And in this case, you aren't booing a TEAM you are booing an individual, a real person, one.
Really? I went to a hockey game here right after Khabibulin got a DUI and everyone was yelling DUI at him. You must live in the nicest place on the planet.

Never boo any player.
+1 internetz. Cmon people, respect the players decisions. If this is true and Huk signs with EG it's for a reason. More money maybe? All you hipster dudes and your "Awww they went mainstream so I don't like them anymore" attitudes need to grow the F up and be happy that your fav player/team is doing better and succeeding. Every one of you would take more money to continue doing what you love.
If people want eSports to be treated legitimately you can't expect this utopian sort of behaviour. I would've boo'd Brett Favre when he played for the Vikings.
Utopian? If acting like a rational person is utopian, man I dont know.
Not booing anyone and respecting everyone's decisions is utopian in my opinion. Everyone wants it cos "it'll further the growth of esports and sportsmanship and support is the most important thing yaaaay". But reality is, there will always be fanboys.

I'd like to think that StarCraft crowds are more civilised than Football crowds. Seeing Cruncher getting booed was so painful, it hurt even more when Idra denied the handshake twice...
It sucks, but yeah, even home teams boo a terrible performance from a starting pitcher sometimes. It is the nature of sports and it happens, at long as there is a reason. What I hate it someone booing someone else just because "they don't like him".

Lol what sporting events have you gone to? As someone who has gone to quite a few MLB, NFL, NBA, NCAAF, NCAAB games, I can honestly say there has been booing at all of them. Booing is a part of sports haha

Yah but the backlash is going to be qually bad. I feel this isn't some "tourney" they are introducing. This is drama-worthy and will be bigger than the EG-Puma ordeal.
Really? People will get upset and throw fits because EG made them waste time refreshing a thread or something? I dont see it. It's too immature to react that way because they allowed themselves to get caught up in the hype.
No.... because most ppl might not like the news. People won't be mad at the hints and clues, it's the final result that will get ppl riled up.
It still sounds completely immature to act that way. If you dont invest yourself into the result it's irrelevant.
Going back to Lebron signing with Miami. Everyone was primed for "The Decision", check out the backlash. Not saying this is exactly the same as that, but just saying that when you have this BIG announcement, there tends to be radical responses.
People hated like lebron because he acted like an asshole to his hometown team on a grand stage, not because he got people's hopes up.
Cavs fans hated him for "abandoning" their team. He didn't go to Miami for the money, but there is still this sense of "he's on our team". That's why when someone very prominent signs with another team, it tends to create a backlash of some sort.
Yes and that team was his hometown team that needed him to have any chance of winning anything for a long time.
Exactly, there was this sense of belonging. Now just say that Huk signs with EG (not going to jump to any conclusions), there's some parallels:
1) There's a lot of hype. 2) Huk is definintely a cornerstone of the TLAF'Liquid team. Lebron was THE MAN in Cleveland.
That's why I say there will be backlash. I mean consider this, if it was only a tournament/tourney, EG wouldn't go through all this trouble. And with Mr.Bitter and Kennigit pretty much saying there definitely will be drama, I'm inclined to believe them.

Because he went to the Vikings for more money obviously. More like, he went to the Vikings because the team he played for originally forced him out to make way for their younger Quarterback, and he couldn't go back to New York because of the minor PR disasters that happened there. If you want to use your analogy, it would be Liquid telling HuK to make way for Hero and that HuK should retire. HuK doesn't want to retire so he goes to EG, maybe through a smaller team along the way.
Back on the original topic, I don't have a ton of respect for the EG organization as it is right now, but I respect the players they have on their StarCraft 2 team. If HuK ended up going to EG, I would probably dislike the EG organization even more, but I would continue to support their players

one thing to note is he was signed pretty much a year ago, and a year would be a nice round time for a contract to last.

We know EG plans to make an announcement about something that may or may not be related to sc2 at all.
Theories: - Nothing screams cool kid coding like latin and distorted audio. - Backwards text is an efficient form of hiding data. - EG members find this highly amusing and are trolling people. - md5 hashes are very important.
About the actual announcement: Personally I feel the EGtGun theory has the most weight behind it. Just translate the 5th paragraph from Idra's first interview to latin, let google translate translate latin-> greek-> spanish -> latin. Write the first half of this text backwards and replace q with g, rot13 the whole thing and take md5. It should now be obvious.
One of the most intelligent posts in this thread. Why people are behaving like little school children about this I don't know. It's not even as good as Dan Brown. Go read the Da Vinci Code instead?
What first idra interview is this guy talking about? THIS MIGHT BE THE ANSWER!

No I don't. I can use my analogy because I'm not anal. The point is, people are boo'd in sporting events all the time. If anyone wants eSports to be even remotely compared to sports, you have to stop trying to embrace all the positives and shun the things you don't like. For example, bashing casters is so frowned upon (I agree, it's terrible, given the proximity of the casters to all the hate whereas people like Joe Buck probably don't even know) but the way it's censored and squashed makes me feel like eSports is being held back in some respect.
I agree we should let people do what they're doing but we should be free to discuss it (regarding this current incident, not caster bashing).

Its just part of sports man. Look at all the people who hate the Yankees. Look at the people who hate the Miami Heat. Look at the people who are hating on the Eagles for signing a ton of free agents. When people are passionate about something and something happens to disrupt it, hate is what comes out of it.
