I see a lot of people giving him reviews without knowing what kind of coach is he.
at the end everybody jumps here to said he is a bad coach but nobody actually took a lesson from him.

I showed him respect, was cool with wasting 40 mins for nothing, then wasting 1.5 hours more the next day, well, that would make most of us unhappy with the service we got. Then he doesn´t even want to make things right by giving me a little discount, because it´s simply a principle not to pay fully for something when it´s broken or the store/service provider has fucked you over hard. I´m simply not going to bend over for him after he fucked me over twice and pay up top for the service. A sorry means just about nothing when he ain´t even willing to maybe give me a 30% off on his lessons, even if i´m still buying 2 hours from him (not just 1). I felt I was giving him a pretty good deal by still wanting to buy from him. That´s pretty simple. Now I was very mannered, but when he saw that there was a TL thread he became angry, raging at me instead of just learning his lesson and not doing the same mistake again. A "i´m not interested - sorry" into "offline" as a reply to me, is pretty much bad. And then going and being angry at me for his own mistakes, makes him look even less professional.

He streams his lessons as far as I know. I'm sure the majority of people that watch his stream know what his coaching is like. Can you judge his professionalism from one potential customer? Lets find out.

I mean, he didn't call me "fucking retarded," i just noticed it, and thought it was a little hypersensitive of him, when someone asked him why he didn't build an extra cannon. All i was saying was my opinion of him, which is that he was abrasive and hot headed. That's it.

He's not a nice guy, so far from it, a nice guy would respect other people, he shows no respect to other sc2 vets, he use every chance he have to try to improve his own image at the expense of others. all his replay packs he ever posted doesn't contain any games of him getting his ass raped by the same players he brags about beating. Just because those players have a reputation to protect and doesn't wanna sink to desrow's level, I on the other hand just another nobody, I don't have that restriction, and I will bash desrow not for all other sc2 vets he has wronged, i'm just doing this for my own entertainment.

In terms of myself, I coach at 20$/hr at the moment and I respect nony, just disagree with a lot of his strategies. ^^ What good does it the wronged student to know that desrow supposedly is "usually a nice guy"? Certain kinds of behavior are simply inexcusable.

I agree that the OP should have been compensated for my mistakes but I was not interested in bargaining at that time. I wanted to focus on practice and it impaired my judgement. I realize now I was being foolish for not even considering to offer him a deal and I should of at least thought about it before answering him. n0btozz Feel free to message me anytime on Skype and I will gladly schedule you in for 2 free hours of coaching. Once again, sorry for the troubles.

Sorry for my comment earlier, I legitimately thought it was in reference to his BW videos. Enough talking about it though XD

Glad to see desrow post though. I don't really follow SC2 that much, but I'm glad he made an effort to settle things, even if it started very badly.

Once in a macro game: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=240438 and once a cheese game: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=234311 That means he's mastered a multitude of styles, and uses them effectively to take down pros such as Idra. Definitely pursue his coaching. Additionally I've heard he's quite humble and rarely talks badly about other people. If you need a light hearted coach that has mastered multiple styles to take down one of the best players in the scene, Desrow is for you!
