At least he said sorry, but his reasons were pretty self centered, mainly that he wanted to get good at the game himself so he doesn´t have time to train people he treats badly at any sort of discount...yeah..ok

Why would you want to learn Starcraft II from a proven stream sniper/cheater who clearly abused this on his way to GM league? Yes, there is such a thing as using powerful 'clever uses of ingame mechanics' to your advantage in order to maximise your winrate rather than sit back and call things cheap but it's not like any credible tournament would let you stream cheat or excessively badmouth your opponent. Yes, they'll let you 7 pool or 4-gate your opponent but not get an unfair advamtage by scouting your opponent through watching their livestream. In fact, I think Combat is only really two steps above a drop hacker and one step above a map hacker. Why you ask? His actions are disputed in terms of ladder but are undeniably cheating in the competitive scene. Yes, he's surprisingly good at Starcraft and knows his shit but he's not "the best.", and he surely didn't hit NA's Grandmaster league via legit tactics.

Unfortunately not everyone is good at being professional when it comes to dealing with clients.... that's why companies in the real world have PR managers etc. This isn't the way most coaching is. As you said, you need to find the right coach for you. Some will be more professional than others, and at your level you don't need the highest level coach (don't need a grandmasters player to teach you how to get to masters). Don't be discouraged!

Get Minigun aka CHADDDDDDDDDD to coach you. Hahahahaha awesome post. Unless CombatEx is actually doing tutorial videos again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sClQjACp3E and it begins.. Unfortunately.... yes. His Brood War videos don't seem too bad, and some people have apparently improved through watching his guides, and he didn't seem too bad until this whole badmouthed win begging/stream cheating side of him emerged. However, I'm disappointed that the guides he put out for Starcraft 2 are pretty much nonexistent and are at a time when SC2 was in beta and not even the pros knew the best builds to use. That's when attempting shit like 1 Gate Colossus drops which you see in the following video I've linked would have actually worked. After seeing his persona back in BW (Based on his past YT videos) before his ban from TL, it makes me wonder what the fuck happened to his behaviour to turn him into the stream cheating crap-talker he is now. EDIT: I didn't exactly want to turn this thread from a discussion about Desrow's douchiness into a discussion about CombatEX. I was merely replying to somebody's message about learning from Combat, and this as a reply to somebody linking the video announcing his glorious (if you can put it that way) return to tutorial videos.

this guy is a self marketing whore. he has paid for two sponsored threads and also got perm banned (but then unbanned) for posting multiple 1 liner threads with a link to his blog. i was actually completely confounded as to why this guy is still featured on the stream list. its literally the only thing he has going for him and the only reason he gets any sort of attention because hes definitely not a good player

At least that's based on what the OP and others initially said.

He understands all the match-ups so well because he's also a successful Terran player and nearly as competent with Zerg.
