I can't believe this still is needed but religious and gun control side discussions will be met with harsh penalties from page 52 and onwards. |

This third time he was arrested by the police in Olso, Friday November 2, with two police uniforms in his car. The police searched his apartment, finding two pistols, a gas pistol and ten pieces of dynamite with detonators, in total one kilo of explosives. - My client has acknowledged holding the weapons and the dynamite. He does not consider himself guilty for holding the uniforms, says the defending lawyer of the 23 year old, Øystein Storrvik of Kathrine Evershos. The 23 year old was convicted in 1998 for buying a large amount of firearms, and selling them on to people in the extremist right environment on Ringerike. Among the weapons he was convicted for selling, there were both Uzi machineguns, AK-47's (Kalashnikovs), a pump-action shotgun and a sawed-off shotgun. He was also convicted for illegal possession of in total 16 different firearms. Among these, a 22 caliber rifle with silencer and optics. Some of his customers were later charged with planning an assassination of Norwegian society tops in 1997. In the same case in 1998, he was also convicted for violence against two anti racists. That time, he admitted a connection to the extreme right environment on Ringerike.
thank you very much! Wow, that's one bad citizen. Might be him, if so we will know for sure in a couple of days.

So glad there were minimal deaths.
This is insane. Terrorism has even struck a very peaceful society, according to a news station I was watching.

Yep, it's that sick.. Ugh... that is .... sick. It sounds like a really bad movie. Something that Uwe Boll would produce. I didn't think mankind were capable of doing such things :S

The death toll will rise I'm afraid, reports have said there was 25-30 dead just along the shoreline of the island. I've read another account from a person hiding from the shooter in a wardrobe that there were 5 dead bodies in the corridor outside. And no-one knows what it looks like on the other parts of the island, the reason the police are being so quiet is most likely that the death toll is very high. The shooter had over an hour or so on a very small island with about 600 people before the police arrived.

Yep, it's that sick.. It's sick but also sad. People get complicate thinking that this will never happen to them.
Yet places in africa the middle east and israel that's a common occurrence.

As true as that is, downplaying the Oslo bombing and Utøya shootings by referencing other conflicts really takes away from the significance of this attack, and the suffering of the people affected. It's a bit like saying "Yeah, the tsunami was pretty bad, but hey, a lot of people die each day from starvation so I guess that kinda evens it out." I'm not flaming you, just think it's a poorly timed comment.

This, outside our sheltered society I do not doubt for a second shit like this is common.

Just realised why I suspected norwegian Nazis behind this all day. This is like straight from a Jo Nesbo novel O_o
Heart goes out to all Norwegians, stay strong~

On a brighter note: After asking the public to give blood, especially those with the bloodtype O- the hospital has reported an unprecedented want from the public to give blood. Within hours of requesting regular donors to come give blood they released a new statement thanking the public and saying they had now reached capacity.
At least people are standing tall, together, and helping out where they can. Kudos to all my fellow Norwegians!

I can't help but find some irony in how the police are now going through the shooter's apartment on the westside of Osl<3

CNN talking heads wanting so bad to connect this guy to islamist terrorists. "It doesn't say much that he is ethnically Norwegian". "He could be recruited".
I give this theory an E for effort.

Every year 15 million children die of hunger each year.
Yet when several thousand are killed in a bombing or other tragedy everyone runs to do something about it.

I give this theory an E for effort. So. True. Every bit of speculation I've seen has been towards Islamic Terrorists. All the interviews and speculation I've read is about what could have Norwary done to upset the Muslims. It's knee jerk at this point- and race/religion has nothing to do with it. All humans, unfortunately, given the right circumstances and conditioning are capable of terrible, terrible things.
