Before i start i wanna apologize for my English since it isn't my first language.
I am starting to think that a lot of the small tournaments is starting to get a little boring do to the fact that it isn't like Idra vs MC level and the casters is of course not tastetosis or day9 and dj wheat that is when i came up with the idea that both players gets to have another monitor with the stream on and listening to the casters(who are casting this game as usual) i was thinking this would make for a crazy game cos they are gonna look at the stream and see exactly what the other player is doing and counter it but then the other player will see that he is countering and will make a counter himself and it would just be total chaos this is not something that i have tried but i am imagining that it would be a cool way to play a tournament. any thoughts?
ps. something something no offensive things intended something something no balance talk made :D:D:D
i just wanna make it clear that this is not intended for pros or being like an important tournament it is intended for fun

You 14 - what are you thinking right now????

This could be very interesting, but most likely won't be.
This does remind me of how Day9 used to practice against maphackers though
That would be interesting to watch of course
Great idea! =) There would be crazy macro games because nobody would build unit producing structures until his opponent starts with it. Somebody should try this and if it works make it happen on funday monday!
no decent player would waste their time playing like this. The thing that makes sc interesting is that both players are playing in the dark and fighting for vital information. If both players have that information we will just see direct counter after counter. No trickery or innovation would be allowed.
@NrG.NeverExpo i was thinking the same thats why it would be cool to see mediocre people play like this.
I think this could lead to pure insanity which I would love to see. for instance in zvz close air, when players see each other, they always go hatch first. Now imagine seeing the entirety of their vision. I'm thinking a double command center before rax tvt for both people. This would be EPIIIIIC

That this probably isn't something I want to watch? It's a funny idea I guess, but I highly doubt any good player would be interested, and without good players it would just be boring to watch.
There, I'm no longer a lurker

I have thought of that. I've always wondered what would happen if you could see exactly what your opponent was doing at the high level. The unit compositions would be interesting to say the least
I personally wouldn't enjoy watching this. I like watching a tournament where the players don't know what I know. It's exciting and fun that way. In addition, the quality of the casters would severely plummet in my opinion. There wouldn't be anything serious to cast because the units being produced would change so rapidly.
Also, good luck getting players to take this seriously. Good players won't do this style of game because it negates all the skills they have been working on developing for so long.

I'm still waiting for news about the SC2: Brood War tournament that Chill mentioned to Sheth in TL Attack...^^
It would be much easier though to just play with shared vision. No stream, and no second monitor required. I'm not sure if you can share vision with your opponent, but it shouldn't be a hard thing to implement in map editor.
surely it would be like if two maphackers vs'd each other.. kinda crap imo since their wont be any suprising baneling busts etc, and who doesnt love a nice baneling blowing up 30 scv's.
Your idea is interesting but you are complicating too much and adding some random stuff in it. what if the casters keep looking at one player more than other and so?
Easier is make a map with and remove fog of war
So you basically want a tournament where both players are stream cheating(although in this scenario it wouldn't be cheating)?
Erm... Okay, I guess that sounds interesting.
So in a way. Both players will have maphacks? :D It would be funny if the casters unintentionally follow mostly 1 of the 2 players, giving advantage to only one.
All the rage you can imagine. :D
As long as its not a money tournament. Having full information always is not real starcraft so players should not get real money.
maphackers tourney lol sounds fun. they are watching the minimap on the stream instead of their own ;p
