This PUA stuff is fascinating - I'm curious what the end goal is with the PUA mentality. Is it to get laid with anyone or someone specific? Wouldn't girls see through a well-rehearsed opening line? I guess if the girl is after the same thing she wouldn't care but then that wouldn't be a challenge, would it? I think there is some valuable information - gaining confidence by being the best person you can be and getting the guts to approach someone - but some of the other stuff seems like a bunch of crap if you want to land a girl of substance...

It's to learn the social skills to pick any women you want to be with so that when you do choose you know you got a keeper and that your not just settling for what you can get. Obviously there is trial and error along the way and that means gaining experience with other women so that you are not a complete knob end with the girl you want to be with.
But then again a lot of guys just want to sleep with women, and who can blame them its fucking encoded in our freaking genes. The purpose of life is to pro-create.

"Game" is the art of building and maintaining attraction in women. "Pick up artists" are veteran practictioners.
Once you have built skill at game (also referred to as "to have game"), you can do what you want with it, whether it be ONS, FWB, LTRs or marriage.

Since when did you ever meet a guy who joined the community, asked them why they joined, and they said their goal was to "objectify women"? They usually joined because they were virgins, or their girlfriends cheated on them.
Most guys who get into this are on the opposite end. They put the girl on a pedestal and they have their balls on a platter.

I read The Game by Neil Strauss about 2 years ago, I very much enjoyed it and it taught me a lot about human interection. I have always been a shy and introverted guy but that book helped a lot on my confidence and my self esteem.
I'm still introverted, but thats how I am as a person, and I love myself as a person as the next person with good self esteem and confidence.
Even though I really enjoyed the book I didn't agree with everything, and I don't believe in changing myself for others. I want people to accept me for who I am.
And about the PUA community, I don't think it's bad, though as any group there are those bad seeds, and we all know that it is easier to see those who misbehave or act in an odd way.

Its a lot easier to change yourself for the better and be a more fun, value giving person that people naturally want to hang out with, than to have all 6 billion people just change their perceptions and just magically like you for no good reason.
Same for girls. Lets say there were two girls. One was hot, educated, funny, caring, great personality and took great care of herself. The other one has bad hygiene, has pimply face, is boring and is overall mean. I would rather hang out with the first girl. The second girl can be like "I want people to accept me for who I am" but that ain't gonna happen! Rather than day dreaming, she should instead take a shower, buy a sonicare tooth brush, floss, and learn to grow a personality.
