stephano doesnt have anywhere near the results of idra or sen, and he's not as good as either one of them to be prefectly honest :/

Huh? Stephano has excellent results lately, won big tournaments, beat lots of Code S players (including current Code S champion). I can't really say if he's better than Idra or Sen since I feel they're all quite even. NesTea is ofcoure undisputed #1 however. No point in arguing that.

IPL3 is a big tournament ONLY for foreigners. Not koreans. Please list off the "lots of Code S players" and when did he beat MMA?

He did beat MMA during the online qualifiers but not at a LAN.

Bo? 1? What server did they play on?

They played a BO3 with MMA having server lag and a weird timezone. Stephano has not won againt any gerat Code S playersd as of yet.(Unless I am forgetting someone)

2-0'd Huk, beat MKP twice i believe

Yeah those games against MKP and Koreans in general at IPL were really suspicious. They played horribly bad. I recall watching it live and the chat just went matrix style spam that that it can't be MKP playing, and that he was playing horribly.
You can't base results on online play - especially with latency.
Even 'offline' tournaments overseas from Koreas point of view are biased as the Koreans are in a new environment which in itself is very tiering - plus that they play in an extremely off time zone. Afaik they fly over just a day or so before the tournament so there's no time to adjust really.

This is the run he had through IPL3. He beat MANY great Code S players. Of course though, since this isn't a Code S setting (where you have to prepare a lot for each match) this doesn't show how well he'll do in GSL, but it's still a good indicator that this dude is GOOD.

Stephano 2-0 Anypro
Stephano 2-1 Axslav
Stephano 2-1 MarineKing
Stephano 2-1 Socke

Stephano 2-1 MMA

Stephano 2-0 Boxer
Stephano 2-1 KiWiKaKi
Stephano 2-0 Violet
Stephano 2-1 Inori
Stephano 3-1 TheStC
Stephano 4-0 Lucky

As you can see he beats MKP, MMA, Huk, TheSTC... and slightly less great players but still great, Violet and Puzzle. Heck, these are just Code S players, he beat the Code A players too like Revival and Lucky. What foreigner could do that in the same run?

When did he beat MKP? D: That's awesome. But Huk has had varying results recently. Amazing at MLG, then totally shit at ASUS ROG for example. Still a 2-0 over Huk is impressive

I think his match vs MKP was in the online qualifiers, but still he beat MKP haha. Another thing to note is that since it's commonly agreed that MKP does better online (since he apparently gets nervous on stage), it makes Stephano's win vs him even more meaningful.

But just to emphasize again... HE BEAT FRIGGIN MMA!

And what was the server he won against MKP and MMA...? Let me bring up Destiny vs Bomber... My point is that such online series doesn't really matter, stage fright or not. Or cross server online matches doesn't count, rather

There were Koreans at IPL3, but Stephano kind of lucked out and went against just TheStC(Not Code S) and Lucky(Not Code S)

And the second time they met at MLG he got 2-0ed by The StC...

Stephano has beaten HuK multiple times, he beat MarineKing, former Code S player Violet, 4-0ed Lucky, he also beat TheStC, who knocked Idra out of IPL3 and came 3rd at MLG Orlando, oh and he beat Inori for good measure. Nestea is obviously the Zerg King, but people who dismiss Stephano after the last couple of months are idiotic.

These are all offline results btw.

NesTea is still the best zerg, at least in korea. On the international stage, I would say it's between Stephano and IdrA right now. That's all going off current form though.

Yeah, it is ridicolous to doubt his skill and that he is among the top foreigners, but (I must stress that this is my opinion) he is not the best foreigner, not even best Zerg. It's kind of unclair atm, who really is the best foreign zerg as Sen don't play much. IdrA and Stephano are probably the ones contesting for the title of best foreign Zerg

probably?

there are still small worlds between NesTea and the best zerg foreigners: IdrA, Stephano, Sen.

i would put LosirA and DRG between nestea and the foreigners

stephano, idra and sen are probably around even for top foreigner zerg, i'd say sen is best of the three though.

I wouldn't rank either of them in the top 5 though. nestea, losira, july, drg, curious, coca all outclass them imo.

We need to see more of Sen before we put him ahead of the other 2 imo. But except for that I agree, IdrA, Stephano and Sen.
I haven't seen much of Curious so I'm not entirely sure, but putting him ahead of Idra/Stephano/Sen? I dunno about that one

People need to realize someday that lot of code A players and even code B are actually betters than half the code S players

edit : or even at least

so when someone says he beat a lot of code s players, they actually mean code a & b players who are as good as code s? ok i got it.

He beat MKP at the qualifiers for IPL, and ESWC i think :p also took out MMA in IPL qualifiers, can't wait to see how he does in korea.. Really good player, if he can keep it up an learn from the best, he can get code S, no doubt in my mind.

Huk is not really the most consistent player. He can play really well or really bad and seems to be really affected by traveling.

He beat MKP on an online qualifier, we never know if there was latency problem for either player, and beat him at eswc, where MKP was even more jetlaged and didn't have as much preparation time as he usually has.

Violet never had any impressive results when he was in code s and I believe he isn't even in code a anymore.

Lucky worst MU is zvz.

Thestc beat stephano at mlg just after thewind told him what stephano weaknesses were.

Inori is bad at pvz, and if I remember well the games were close.

I'm not saying that he is bad or he is not the best foreigner, just that he didn't have any victory where I can really think that we can count him as being as good as many people seem to think he is.

The best way to know if a foreigner is really good is living in korea and participate to GSL. So nobody has the excuse being jetlaged and the players have time to practice for their opponents, which shows who is really better IMO.
