My top 5:
1. Nestea 2. DRG 3. Leenock 4. LosirA 5. Coca / July
Idra is cool, but if he tries to enter Code A today, he would be destroyed. Stephano is cool, but he's new and terrans will figure out his style, specially korean terrans, let's see what happen in the next months.
Why my top 5? those Zergs have a known style from a while, yet still can pull games from Code S Terrans.
|
We will need another one of these in 2-3 months for sure!!!

What has happened to Morrow?

Such a good point to notice... Staying power is a huge factor in "being the best". Who cares if you're "the best" only because you take advantage of a unique playstyle -- it's only amazing when you keep at it despite when everyone knows you in and out. I don't mean to allude to Stephano here, but yeah, I'd agree with keeping him off a top 5 list for sure, fo that reason

Clearly there's a demand for a thread like this, but bumping an old one might not be the best idea. Why not make one for each season

Diamaga is the peak best zerg when he's on his game. Problem is thats like 3x a year..and not for very long.
Nestea is the most consistent zerg.
DRG is fast becoming competition for Nestea (who wants to see these two zvz it up? I do).
Idra is the most conservative zerg.
Sen I feel doesn't get enough props in the foreign community.
Check leaves you always wanting more. I've followed his play since Idra was in Korea.
Losira perhaps the most talented zerg, you could say he's nestea the dark lords apprentice, but too inconsistent to be considered.
Nobody else is even on that level

You realized in saying that you bumped the thread and "disobeyed" the OP? Oh the irony...

Reading over this thread, i've noticed lots of things
people saying stephano isn't even top 10 foreigner..
Stephano IS at least top 4 foreigner (huk, idrA, Sen) no other foreigners can say that they have consistently beaten these 3, please stop arguing about this.
Nestea is the best zerg... please stop trying to say otherwise, he's won more GSL's, more prizemoney... has only ever lost a few zvz's IN HIS LIFE.
|
Nestea may be king of Zerg, there are quite a lot of other Zergs that are beginning to approach him.

Where has stephano done it...name a few stacked tournaments where stephano has shown damn he can play against the BEST there is to offer and won...
All of the best have done this at some point in time. Stephano hasn't. Playing against a bunch of 2nd tier pro's isn't going to cut it. His IGN win was solid, but it wasn't like damn the guy is untouchable. Nestea looked untouchable for months in zvz.

Tell me how Stephano even deserves to answer the door for Nestea?

He's not better the ProfTea, but he is easily one of best foriegners right now.

Nobody else is even on that level I don't. DRG almost lost to FD at IEM. Score was 3-2, and FD said before the game that his ZvZ was in shit condition. Rofl.

TLPD, just search the names at the top right. NesTea's is from SC2 Korean, Stephano's is from SC2 International.
