MCs recent results haven't been too good either. MVP has also won 2 GSL's. Well, one was the GSL World Championship. It's not the same as a GSL Code S or a GSL Open and I don't feel it should be treated as equivalent(whether you think it's harder or easier is up to you).
It is treated the same. Whether you think so or not, the players DO think so.

To have Idra with the most votes i think is stunning. Idra is no doubt good, but people need to remember hes the best "foreign zerg" and not quite as good as alot of korean zergs. Sadly i think none of the players quite have all the traits necessary to become king of zerg sadly. Nestea is prob the closest but with his high wisdom comes the price of his age and energy. July is a great player but tends to fall apart if the player knows his attack scheme but is extremely experienced. LosirA is really good at all facets whether it be consistency, cheese, macro, micro, or creativity but he is still really really young and even though was a pro in BW i think he still needs a bit experience in SC2 more before he can truly shine. Dimaga is good all around but is not quite up to par with some of the koreans in my opinion. Sen has been struggling recently so he is lacking consistency and has kinda been for awhile. Idra is good no doubt but he lacks creativity and because of that he is very predictable. Hopefully the way to play zerg becomes fully understood in the next couple months so we can truly find someone who can bring zerg to its highest potential which i dont think has been even scratched yet.

Losira is the cutest, so he gets a vote for that. He is being trained by Nestea, and is learning so much from him, and even more. He is performing well in code s currently. So much greatness coming from him right now, but not quite the king.

I voted "empty throne" a few days ago, but IdrA has steadily been impressing me more and more. We'll have to see what happens with IdrA in the next couple of months. Will he distinguish himself from NesTea? Which one will place the highest in his respective tournaments? Which one will win the most games? Lots of questions, but no answers at the moment.
Getting really excited for Zergs in general right now! I'm looking forward to some awesome games in the near future.

Here is my top 5:D 1: ST_Zulyzerg. He IS the best zerg around the world. 2: IMLosirA. Have shown anyone he's potencial and is my favorite to win GSL May. 3:IMNestea. Have been a major dissappointment lately, but he is still GSL 2 Champ. 4: WemadefoxMoon. Has completely desimated anyone in the NASL. 5: Idra. He is probatly the best macro zerg around and have beaten MVP. Only reason for not being in top 3 is he's major weakness to cheese

Nestea/Losira/July have to be tied at the very top, with IdrA right behind them. July is generally considered to be worse than the rest of the group, but he shows results. Dimaga still has to prove himself as consistent -- he did well during the GSLWC but I haven't heard anything about his beyond that.

i voted for nestea, as he is the best decision maker by quite a long way with zerg. but losira (his protege) is coming along very fast.
and i wouldn't count out min yet. that guy has some real skill

Yeah, GSL is the "top" tourney, but when you play the same people over and over and over... You play the same people over and over because those same people also win enough to stay in the tournament. If they were/are bad, they'll eventually be flushed out.
and at the same time they know the ends and outs of there opponents strategies and play like the back of there hands because of that same reason. so its much easier to win against someone u have played over and over again vs a newcomer of the SAME skill level that u know nothing about in terms of strategy and style of play.
this has nothing to do with idra, but im just saying my 2 cents. this "koreans are better then foreigners by default" mentality bull crap has got to stop.

Yeah I totally agree... When I first saw this poll created I thought it was empty but idra has been shitting on all the "top" players on ladder hard. Also his performance in IGN. I believe if their is a zerg king atm its idra.

I feel as though Idra's play style has the most long-term potential. He is determined to follow a strict macro style, and this is certainly the most effective way to play. His strictness to this has been a weakness in the past, because it makes his play predictable and vulnerable to every cheese in the book. But the point is, as he plugs more and more holes and perfects his general strategy, he will be unstoppable.
An aggressive strategy like July uses does not have much long term potential. Aggression can always be stopped if you know it is coming. But how do you stop someone from out macroing you? By putting pressure and hoping he isn't prepared for it. In the past, he often wasn't prepared, but one day he will be the undisputed Zerg king imo.

I dont know why people bash on idrA so and say that him being above Nestea is "Laughable" - Sure Nestea is a beast, but i feel like idrA has what it takes.
Also, lately idrA has been improving so much its ridiculous. If i had been asked 1-1½ months ago, i would say Nestea for sure, but ever since TSL idrA have ramped up his game to unbelievable heights. And even tho he hasn't won anything in that time, he have posted some awesome results, like MLG, winning over Huk in a very high focus match, placing highest of all zergs at the tournament. He did well at Dreamhack as well even tho MC kicked him out, and i mean, look at HOW he looses. And now with IPL he has pretty much destroyed the competition so far, and to be honest, with following recent tourney games and his stream it suddenly looks like ZvP is his strongest MU ( i know its not, but he destroys atm)- and NASL anyone? I mean even if he doenst win IPL or NASL what he has shown so far is enough that i believe he IS the best zerg right now. At the very least in NA/EU with some strong competition out of Korea.
just my 2c

I'm pretty sure MVP has lost to more than one zerg players on the ladder.

I'd love to see Sheth go pro. If you see his stream, his feeling for the game is simply amazing. Extrelemy well reasoning and stays calm in every situation. I've seen him pull off stuff on close pos meta that would make IdrA instaquit.
Oh and of all the players in the world, he actually IS the nicest guy around

I don't know who the king is but the Zerg Prince is Spanishiwa.

And Destiny as the Zerg Jester? We can fill an entire castle with Zerg players this way...

445 people voted Idra for best zerg in the world? WTF? LOL.

We might as well crown Kiwikaki the king of Protoss and Select the king of Terran if we're basing this on performance in the IPL and on the NA ladder.
