Fuck sAviOr. Yeah I said it. Just like I'll say fuck Pete Rose. People like that are the lowest of the low in my opinion.
He deserves what he got, and the reaction to him playing again is totally warranted. Imagine is Pete Rose wanted to start coaching players or even offering personal training? People would flip the fuck out because he cheated.
This isn't like using Steroids because the entire league does (MLB/NFL/All American sports), this is one of the best and most loved players of all time betraying his fans and supporters by fixing and throwing games for money.
sAviOr is a cheat who deserves no respect from anyone, how can you love SC:BW or SC2 so much and not consider him the lowest of the low? Honestly?
How can I accept someone who plays the game for fun regardless of history? Because that's one of the basic rights to gamers. Who are you to ban someone from playing a game ever (even in single player mode)?

because his legacy is huge... he was the game and nothing can't change it. I will always remember savior that pushed my beloved game few steps forward

Mark McGwire is a coach for the Cardindals. Nobody cares. Sorry Chronald. His games last night were pretty fun to watch, thanks Kiante.

I hope Ma Jae Yoon streams more. It was really fun to watch him try to get some magic back.

I never understood why average Joes get so much pleasure out of judging and condemning celebrities. None of you are so pure and good that you have any right to decide the value of someone's character, the amount of respect someone should be given, or whether or not someone deserves second chances. I swear, listening to some of you, it's as if you truly believe you're gods -- like you actually have no idea what it's like to be human.
Nobody is perfect. People make mistakes and bad decisions. Some are worse than others, but we don't live in some sort of comic book fairy tale land where things are black and white, and everyone is a villain or a saint. I mean really, "the lowest of the low"? LOL get real. Here's what's what:
- Savior fucked up and made some horrible decisions. It's more likely he did so because he was a short-sighted idiot, and less likely that he did so because he was a malicious villain out to ruin lives. - KeSPA, the GSL, and any other body absolutely deserve the right to ban Savior from any of their events, esp. in order to make an example out of him and discourage similar events from happening in the future. - Match-fixing had a 0% chance of ending competitive Brood War, and it's delusional and unrealistic to claim otherwise. Scandals don't end sports, they put them into the limelight (albeit for the wrong reasons). - Savior can do whatever the fuck he wants to in his free time. That includes playing BW, streaming BW, commentating BW, coaching BW, or even starting his own BW league. - The vast majority of crimes are far more heinous than Savior's. He's a minor criminal at worst, a far cry away from the lowest of the low.

Scandal killed the WC3 scene when something very similar happened.

Well to be fair I might have exaggerated, it just killed the league. You can google it pretty easily.
Maybe you can't google it easily. Jesus, I could have swore it was really easy to read up on, I remember reading a bigass article about it a while ago. Long story short, people in a certain WC3 league decided to mod the maps to benefit underpowered races (and by mod maps, I mean, mod them so that certain units had better stats than they should have).

thanks a lot Kiante

Of course Savior is more than entitled to continue playing BW and streaming it for those who're interested...
But I sure as hell won't be adding to his viewer count/possible revenue stream. Doesn't matter how good he used to be...

sAvioR will always have a special place in my heart ... I hope they lift the ban for him (atleast to play in the GSL) The guy was one of the best there is, one of the best there was, and one of the best there ever will be. Ma Jae Yoon fighting.
|
Personally I welcome him back, yeah what he did was low but I'd rather he stream (gives back to the community) than doing nothing.

I agree. I miss watching him play
What he did sucked and was horrible, but I forgive him and want him back so I can see him play again. <3 Ma Bonjwa.

Savior deserves a chance to punish those that humiliated him. A chance to get back into pro gaming. Allowing the match fixers that shifted blame unto him get away? Never. Im sure Savior feels a deep rage within, ready to burst out in gameplay towards those who dare judge him. The pro scene would be an excellent place to let that happen, to fulfill his ultimate destiny of greatness that was suddenly stolen from him.

I can't believe that some of us have easily forgotten the amount of damage that he dealt on the BW scene.
For god's sake, he was on national news for his crime, and tarred the reputation and integrity of progaming.
And don't forget that he pretty much lumped shit on his coach's name. ;_;
If he even had the ounce of honor in him, he wouldve stopped denying before his coach started to defend him.
He can play BW as much as he wants, I don't care.
But he should not try gaining anything from playing BW.
Shame on you, Savior.
At least finish your sentences before streaming.

Read the OP.
I lurk at the Korean communities as well and they are definitely NOT happy from this.

That's not him streaming for gain that's people choosing to donate to him. It's their decision, he's not forcing everybody to donate in order to stream. Congrats that koreans aren't happy about it; no shit.
There's nothing wrong with him streaming I personally welcome it as it gives me something to watch. If your concern is "oh people can donate" than you're being extremely selfish. Congrats you like to hold a grudge, that's nice but people drastically exaggerate the issue. He didn't tar the reputation of progaming, all the issues were dealt with and it had little to no effect on the fans other than emotionally; Flash would be a god whether or not Savior was caught cheating.
If you don't want to donate to him than so be it but if he wants to show people games of him playing there's nothing wrong with that. It's an option to donate not a requirement.
